3. Poll: Majority of Canadians Want Lower Immigration

A new survey has revealed that the majority of Canadians want the government of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to decrease the number of new immigrants to the country.

The new survey, produced by Léger, revealed that 63 percent of Canadians agree that the Liberal government should “prioritize reducing the number of immigrants entering Canada,” compared to only 37 percent who believe the opposite, La Pressereports.

 

Trudeau’s Immigration Minister Ahmed Hussen, who originally came to Canada as a refugee from Somalia, expressed concern over the results of the survey claiming that concerns over infrastructure and housing could be solved with investment rather than reducing new arrivals.

(This seems to much of a reaction to a tweet to not be coordinated. I doubt tons of Africans sit around waiting for a tweet from Trudeau, then decide to fly to the US and walk their way into Canada. It feels like a Soros affiliate tells Trudeau when to tweet something like that, and they fund this invasion and blame it on the tweet. Would be interesting to see how many of the 500 follow JT on Twitter and actually speak English at all.)

4. More Liberal members of Parliament have decided not to seek re election. No reasons given.

Yesterday, Liberal MP Geng Tan – who had already been nominated – announced he wouldn’t be running again.

The announcement came as a surprise, and led to more questions about what Liberal MPs must be seeing on the ground considering how many have decided that they won’t be running again under Trudeau.

 

Now, just a day later, another Liberal MP is jumping ship.

Frank Baylis, the MP for Pierrefonds-Roxboro, says he won’t be running again.

Between this story of selective enforcement and ideological affirmative action at Harvard, and the story about how Harvard (and other Ivy League schools) where letting kids from rich families in, and even graduating them for bribes, why does anyone give a damn about Harvard anymore? 9. New Zealander sentenced to 21 months JAIL

A New Zealand man who shared a video of the Christchurch mosque massacre was sentenced to 21 months in prison on Tuesday.

 

Philip Arps, 44, previously pleaded guilty to two counts of distributing the livestream video of the mass shooting, in which a gunman filmed himself on Facebook killing 51 people at two mosques in March. […]

 

Arps faced up to 14 years imprisonment on each count, according to New Zealand laws designed to prevent people from sharing objectionable material.

 

The 44-year-old apparently argued he had a right to distribute the video under the banner of freedom to pursue his political beliefs. His lawyer, Anselm Williams, said Arps shouldn’t be sent to prison, and that he filed an appeal against his sentence. […]

 

“It’s my submission that this court needs to be very careful to sentence Mr. Arps based on what it is that he has actually done, and what he accepts he has done, not on the basis of the views that he holds,” Williams said.

 

Arps is one of six people who have been charged with illegally sharing the livestream of the mass shooting. New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern was quick to jump to action following the attacks, announcing a week later the country was immediately banning “military-style semi-automatic weapons.”

(This whole thing is fuzzy to me. Did they convict him on a new law they passed banning that video retroactively? Or did they dredge up some never before used, arcane law that they applied to this case. Do they also jail muslims who take share or otherwise glorify any of the thousands of jihad videos available online all over the place? Again, I urgently suggest to people everywhere, especially New Zealand, that they watch the new Indian film, Kesari, about the Battle of Saragarhi before the communist totalitarian who runs New Zealand bans that bit of history in keeping with her Orwellian leanings.)

10. About that shooting in Toronto yesterday at the Raptors parade. (Apparently that is a Basketball team and not a new Jurassic Park film)

Abdulrahman Abdullahi, 23, of Toronto, is charged with attempted murder, discharging with intent, unauthorized possession of a firearm, careless storage of a firearm and ammunition and several other offences.
