  1. Cross-post of my comment in Reader’s links:

As usual, Condell swings for the fences. A crucial differentiation that he makes is with regard to “voting for” versus “voting against”. Here in America—not always successfully, mind you—we have endured decades of voting (or attempting to vote) against presidential candidates that are the greater of two evils.

An acquaintance of mine rather succinctly identified this as “defensive voting”. Much like defensive driving, it is a matter of studiously avoiding the most obvious dangers. Obviously, the election, and reelection, of 0bama defies this notion, but fortunately Trump is making it explicitly clear just how drastically mistaken Americans were to allow such a shameless Alinskyite Communist anywhere near this nation’s helm.

Ordinary Britishers (i.e., the Great Unwashed™) face a much more serious challenge from their supposed betters—who have taken it upon themselves to nullify what some 55% of voters resoundingly approved of.

In a country already beset with almost daily stabbings, vehicular assaults, nearly incessant child rapes, and a veritable smorgasbord of clockwork terrorist attacks, to have a gaggle of self-congratulating elitists insist that remaining in the thrall of an unelected imperium is all for the best is nothing short of pouring salt in the wound.

It would seem that stupidity born of routine inbreeding is not the exclusive domain of British royals. By my own estimation, it is imperative that Brexit be accomplished well before that osculator of Muslim posteriors masquerading as heir to the throne lays even a pinkie finger on the scepter.

      • Very nicely put, NR.

From such an adroit scribbler as yourself, I’ll take that as high praise.

Here’s hoping you’ll enjoy my Reader’s Links analysis of the pre-tariff manufacturing exodus that’s happening over in Communist China. Trump has Beijing on the ropes and it’s only for lack of a more vigorous kidney massage that the Chicoms aren’t already kissing the canvas.

  2. Ever notice how all those people taking advantage of our severe lack of border enforcement, come from countries whose own governments rigorously enforce the security preventing illegal entry of their own borders?

This reminds me very little of several years back when Central and South American nations sought to criticize America’s deportation of illegal aliens and US unwillingness to open its borders. The hilarity being that in all of those complaining countries, those who’re caught entering illegally (even just in transit) simply disappearas in dead and buried in unmarked graves.

This titanic hypocrisy went unremarked upon by the MSM (quelle surprise!) even as they, too, joined in the whinyass chorus of disapproval. It is worth noting how the massive “immigrant” (i.e., economic tourist) crisis in Europe is receiving the same deafening radio silence despite being picture perfect proof of exactly why open borders amount to mass suicide.

      Go figure…
