How does the entire bridge crew fail to notice that the helm of their 17,343 ton vessel is not responding? Why didn’t the captain immediately drop (and drag) anchor to reduce speed? Supposedly, “the captain lost control of the ship within minutes of leaving the port, headed for Tenerife, due to a widespread failure in the ship’s electrical system”.
There had better be a log of distress calls via either the ship’s radio or someone’s cell phone. Otherwise, I call BS!
