Black Pigeon speaks on the odd US retaliation for a chemical weapons attack of unknown origin

Many have possibly forgotten this video from several years ago, of nascent Islamic State people, at that time just called “rebels”, backed by the US against Al Assad, testing their home made chemical weapons on a rabbit.

Susan Rice, as Secretary of State, said that they had gotten rid of all chemical weapons in Syrian state possession.

So the math doesn’t look good for that strike to be from Assad, In fact it would be quite a clumsy move for an experienced statesman to do something like that instead of conventional ordnance or just have soldiers go shoot the “rebels” from the various foreign US backed Sunni militias.

All this is horrifying and probably true, but such a simplistic analysis reveals blatant bias. On behalf of Muslim separatists, for whom this YankeeKafir has little sympathy.

It may well have been prevented, but that goes for the Boston Marathon bombing as well. FSB and FBI, red flags only ex post. Chechen soul-brothers, coincidentally. Conspiracy theories notwithstanding, these crafty buzzards fly under the radar.

“Reasonable” demands? No, hostage-taking precludes statesmen-like negotiations. The authorities could perhaps have faked mediation long enough to come up with a rescue plan, but they chose not to.

…Aslan Maskhadov, the former Chechen president, was prepared to come to Beslan to mediate the crisis….The Russian authorities’ agreement to allow Maskhadov safe passage would have almost certainly ended the crisis because it would have signified implicit Russian recognition of Chechen aspirations.

That’s precisely why such help was not welcome. Muslims better not have “aspirations” in those parts. Few Russians are so naive. Even fewer a dozen years ago.

Clearly, the lives of the hostages were forfeited from the get-go in the eyes of the Russian authorities. This was a set piece, an “exemplary” terrorist attack and response.

No messing around – Grozny and Beslan – they all die and the Devil will know his own.

        Excerpt:

In a recent book titled The Chief Culprit: Stalin’s Design to Start World War II, Suvorov unveils the modus operandi of Kremlin grand strategy. “Stalin’s tactic relied on doing everything with someone else’s hands,” noted Suvorov, “eliminating one enemy with the hands of the other.” As Robert Conquest once wrote: “Stalin always found monkeys, who brought him nuts from the hottest fire.” Whether those nuts are fetched from Kim’s North Korea, or the Ayatollah’s Iran, monkeys can always be found, and somebody’s nuts are always in the fire. Ask yourself the following questions: Why did Moscow help to train Hitler’s army in the 1930s? Why has the Kremlin facilitated the transfer of nuclear technology to Iran? And who, for that matter, supplied North Korea with the technical know-how to build a nuclear device (which may, in fact, be an EMP device)? The answer is Moscow.

  1. The argument is that this will be a one-off strike just to “send a message.” And if that was all it was, fair enough.

But it is definitely not going to stop there. Whether they actually did a false flag attack or not, now that the ISIS and related rebels have seen what effect gases and dying children on a video has on the POTUS, they will see to it that many many more such “attacks” happen. Anything that will help bring down Assad is fine with them. A few extra “martyrs” for the cause is no problem. All subsequent chemical attacks will be put down to Assad, and the story will be “look, he is defying us, we must finish him off.” Trump’s “lesson” will merely guarantee many more dead from chemical attacks. The screams from the media and most of the media-fed public will be clamouring for a take-down of Assad. Having responded so quickly to this “attack”, how could Trump then ignore all the “attacks” the rebels will make happen and pin on Assad? In this way ISIS (which Trump swore to eliminate) will take over Syria, as they have Libya. This will result in the deaths of thousands of Syrian Christians and other minorities. But Syria going to ISIS will not be acceptable to Russia who will now have to fight for their lives, or be totally surrounded by Muslim regimes.

    • “But Syria going to ISIS will not be acceptable to Russia who will now have to fight for their lives, or be totally surrounded by Muslim regimes.”
Balderdash, Russian forces just need to live Syria, they do not fight for their lives, they fight for influence. Naturally they do not want to live Syria because in reality that would mean that Turkey, USA, KSA and Qatar will divide Syria among themselves and Russia will stop being the player in the Middle East.
Russia, I think, is also in somewhat of the shock because until now it seemed that Russia is getting back its influence in the Middle East, and USA stopped being a major player in that area. Yes, it bombed ISIS, yes it talked with Kurds but really the perception was that it was Russia who is in ascendance there. And now such a shock.
Of course everything may change very quickly but saying that “Russia is fighting for their lives” is, excuse me, a nonsense.
As for Trump and this attack, it was first US attack on anyone but ISIS.

  2. Well. the Russian MOD told, at the beginning (just after attack) that only 23 reach the targets but they did not provide any evidence. They also said that Americans did not tell them about this attack. Later they changed their spiel and said that “yes, US advised them of that attack”

What is interesting in the 1st video is the fact that on the base there were Hezbollah and Assad forces. If there were Hezbollah then probably there were also Iranian forces, and if there were Iranians there could be their (Hezbullah & Iranian) military equipment. So that might have been the aim (or one of the aims) of the attack. Note: t there are persistent rumours that Russia is at logerhead with Iranians in Syria.

Also one Russian guy said that it is possible that there were 2 types of Tomahawk used One was the RGM/UGM-109C Tomahawk Land-Attack Missile — Conventional (TLAM-C) with a high-explosive 450-kilogram warhead WDU-25 / B. This missiles destroyed the concrete structures. Then US used Tomahawk RGM / UGM-109D. The RGM/UGM-109D Tomahawk – Submunition Dispenser (TLAM-D Block III), features a conventional munitions dispenser with 166 submunitions in 24 canisters, designed to defeat the area targets and the enemy’s live forces. They do not leave craters (Mind you all this military stuff is black magic for me, but he was convincing.)

But I think the real reason for the attack will not be known for the long time, so everything is speculation.

  3. I’m not so optimistic as Black Pigeon. Trump’s actions mean that if he does understand how absurd the accusations against Assad are, he is determined to maintain the lie of the good “moderate rebels” fighting against the “bad dictator” that all Western media kept brainwashing us with.
The Syrian army may have been tipped off of the attack, but by the Russians, who were warned so that a conflict with them could be avoided if there were many Russian casualties.
You cannot say somebody poisoned women and children for no reason whatsoever, your righteous anger is so provoked that you attack them, and then say they are fine and you’ll let the Syrians decide who will rule them.
Acting on the assumption that the murderers were soldiers and not ISIS and al-Qaeda shows it has been decided who we are supposed to view as the bad guys– the army or the Islamists.
Both the US and the EU are actually governed by corporations, and they don’t give a damn if Islamists have to be supported, people have to die or Europe turn into Eurabia once the region is completely destabilized. So much the better for them…

    • It could be Assad forces
. In fact some people say that only Assad special forces, Hezbullah, Afghan forces from Iran ( Fatemiyoun) and some Russians fight for Assad. . The majority of Assad forces do not fight, or fight very …… very slowly. People also says that Assad do not have good commanders, the majority of good ones got killed or changed their allegation. So taking both of it together it is possible that some commanders lost control over their forces, or made an independent decision to use chemical weapons. It could even be a revenge for what other people did to Assad people.
It is Middle East, you know.

      • I know Muslims tend to be great humanists, yes.
But the videos al-Qaeda’s White Helmests spread are showing people who could not have been killed by a sarin attack as they claim, the bodies are said to be mainly of women and children, and local sources in Syria claim these are bodies of the women and children that had been kidnapped by the Islamists a few weeks ago.
If there was an attack that they did not commit, why make false videos?
