Rasmus Paludan, lawyer for Denmark’s first blasphemy trial in 45 years

We were lucky enough to catch Rasmus in his hotel in Beijing 24 hours after he was retained as defence attorney for the first arraignment on blasphemy charges in Denmark in 45 years.

This trial must be followed. The results may indicate the direction of the Western world.

If guilty, it means that UN 16/18 will be implemented in Denmark as renewed vigour for blasphemy laws, but likely just for Islam, and if found not guilty, may mean the abandonment of the law altogether on blasphemy and a renewed sense of the Enlightenment.

  1. There should be no “blasphemy” laws and “hate” laws. The only thing should be forbidden is the call to action to commit crime.
Both hate laws and blasphemy laws are just misused to suppress free speech and dissenting opinion. Canada and most Europe is guilty of this type of suppression!

    • Blasphemy laws on the books and being enforced in a non-Muslim nation, in 2017: It’s surreal. But I guess, thanks to the wonders of mass Muslim immigration, more than a little of the Dark Ages (that is, the Muslim world) has leaked into the Western world. Who says time travel is not possible?

        Effing brilliant!!!

Islam, the world’s historic time machine. Just don’t dare ask for a look into the future!

  2. It would be very interesting to see the results of a reliable pollster like Pew Research measuring just how offended most indigenous Danes are regarding this pro-Islamic “show” trial. I have little doubt that a majority of them are deeply angered about any sort of blasphemy trial happening in their country at all.

Consider this, ever since the Motoons were published, native Danes can only have experienced an increased (and by “increased” I mean, “skyrocketing”) degree of “Muslim fatigue”. It is unimaginable that they have undergone even a slight uptick in sympathy for Muslims and Islam in general.

A famously tolerant nation like Denmark is going to be the proverbial “canary in the coal mine” for the rest of Europe when it comes to this sort of stealth sharia. Personally, all of this just makes me want to hurl.

  3. It seems that like the conservatives and others in fly over country in the US the people of Europe are doing their best to use the ballot box to change the direction of their countries and to protect their freedom and cultures. I wonder what they are going to do if the European self proclaimed elite steal the elections from them?

This blasphemy prosecution is the latest outrage, once again the people are waiting trying to use the legal system to protect them and their freedom. How much longer can their patience last? Will a new round of riots in Paris provide the final straw that broke the camels back? Will it be something else, say like openly crooked election results?
