Angela Merkel is facing a fresh rebellion over her refugee policy, with more than 40 politicians from her Christian Democrat party reportedly signing a petition to close Germany’s borders to asylum seekers.
The rebels plan to call for a vote on the proposal at the next party meeting on January 26.
Mrs Merkel has come under intense pressure to change her “open-door” refugee policy since it emerged that asylum seekers were among the suspects in the New Year’s Eve sex attacks in Cologne.
More than 650 women have now come forward to file criminal complaints over the attacks, around 45 per cent of them for sexual assault.
(If they sued Merkel I think they may have a solid case)
CAIR’s Big Lie technique is just to get ahead of the story by spreading their quotes without worrying what happens when it gets disproven. Considering the public’s attention span and the media’s dishonesty, this no doubt works to some degree. There are probably plenty of Americans who still think that San Bernardino was a workplace argument that got out of hand.
“At this hour, it does not appear that he was an observant or mosque-going Muslim” in the local community, said Jacob Bender, executive director of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Council on American–Islamic Relations.
“I’ve called numerous imams and mosques to try to see if the name rings a bell with anyone. So far it hasn’t,” he told Reuters in an interview.
But Natalie King, one of Archer’s neighbors, said that he was seen going to the mosque every Friday night.
It is a testament to the precarious state of the world today that in a week that saw North Korea carry out a possible test of a hydrogen bomb, the most frightening statement uttered did not come from Pyongyang.
It came from Pakistan.
Speaking in the military garrison town of Rawalpindi, Pakistani Army chief Gen. Raheel Sharif said that any Iranian threat to Saudi Arabia’s territorial integrity will “wipe Iran off the map.”
Sharif made the statement following his meeting with Saudi Arabia’s defense minister and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. According to media reports, Salman was the second senior Saudi official to visit Pakistan in the past week amid growing tensions between Iran and the kingdom.
Salman’s trip and Sharif’s nuclear threat make clear that following the US’s all-but-official abandonment of its role as protector of the world’s largest oil producer, the Saudis have cast their lots with nuclear-armed Pakistan.

5. Greece denies UMIs a nice new state paid mosque, so they build their own on Lesbos.
A makeshift mosque was erected at Moira refugee camp on the Greek island of Lesbos on Wednesday. The temporary structure was built by a Pakistani migrant staying at the camp after calls for a permanent mosque were not acknowledged by the state. The improvised mosque which has been decorated with prayer mats currently services the large Muslim demographic staying at the camp, many of whom use the facility to pray five times a day.Lesbos is one of the main hotspots for refugees arriving in Europe, fleeing violence, war and poverty in the Middle East and Africa.
Officials from Stockholm are currently unwelcome in Israel, Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely declared Wednesday, a day after Sweden’s foreign minister, Margot Wallstrom, called for an investigation to determine whether Israel has been conducting extrajudicial executions of Palestinians during the current wave of violence.
The sailors–nine men and one woman–were shown sitting on the floor, with the woman wearing a hijab, or head covering, in deference to Islamic law. One sailor, allegedly the “commander” of the group, was interviewed on television apologizing for his “mistake.”
State Department Deputy Spokesperson Mark Toner declined to answer at a Wednesday briefing whether Iran had violated the Geneva Convention, saying the videos might not be authentic. Matt Lee of the Associated Press challenged his claims that the sailors had not been mistreated if their rights under the Convention may have been violated.
Parading captives on television is a violation of the Geneva Convention on the treatment of prisoners of war, as is forcing female captives to dress differently from their male counterparts, regardless of captors’ religious beliefs:
The claim by Iran that the USN boats “strayed into Iranian waters” is complete bulls***.
For an open-water transit between nations, the course is studied and planned in advance by the leaders of the Riverine Squadron, with specific attention given to staying wide and clear of any hostile nation’s claimed territorial waters. The boats are given a complete mechanical check before departure, and they have sufficient fuel to accomplish their mission plus extra. If, for some unexplainable and rare circumstance one boat broke down, the other would tow it, that’s why two boats go on these trips and not one! It’s called “self-rescue” and it’s SOP.
This entire situation is in my area of expertise. I can state with complete confidence that both Iran and our own State Department are lying. The “strayed into Iranian waters” story being put out by Iran and our groveling and appeasing State Dept. is utter and complete BS from one end to the other. The boats did not enter Iranian waters. They were overtaken in international waters by Iranian patrol boats that were so superior in both speed and firepower that it became a “hands up!” situation, with automatic cannons in the 40mm to 76mm range pointed at them point-blank. Surrender, hands up, or be blown out of the water. I assume that the Iranians had an English speaker on a loudspeaker to make the demand. This takedown was no accident or coincidence, it was a planned slap across America’s face.
South Carolina state Rep. John King (D) said he plans to introduce a resolution declaring that “xenophobic” Donald Trump is “not welcome” in his state.
Unconfirmed reports say 10 to 14 perpetrators involved
Not sure if I posted this, so many stories on the Cologne act of muslim love. This one claims to have more facts than the rest and it is the Daily Mail so it probably does.
Here is a nice little analysis of the muslim mass rape of German women by muslims
