Pakistan offended by its accurate representation on the TV show, ‘Homeland’

For anyone who closely follows geopolitics, the TV show homeland is stunning not just for its accuracy in some aspects, but that in other ways they accurately predicted events which had not happened yet at the time of broadcast and certainly not at the time the scripts were written. Its an amazing show above and beyond its entertainment value. In fact binge-watching it over the holidays is not at all a bad use of time, especially season 4 about Pakistan. While the TV show did not predict the attack on the school, the attack came shortly after they depicted a massive attack on the US embassy because of a divide between the ISI, or ‘Inter Service Intelligence’, a real spy agency in Pakistan which is in fact truly divided between secular interests and, well let’s just say that India accuses them of training and funding the terror attack by Islamic nut bags in Mumbai a few years ago, and India does not make accusations like that lightly. But they did predict the souring of US Pakistani relations which in fact did happen a week or so after broadcast for similarish reasons, and this did not escape the notice of many writers on the subject.

Now it seems Pakistan has bristled at the depiction of that country by the popular TV show.

(This clip is quite accurate on both counts. It is as he described it, and it is an acronym for the tribes who lived there when the country was formed because the Muslims couldn’t stand the idea of living in a multicultural India and had to have an Islamic state. So they made up Pakistan.)
