1. Michael Coren on Edmonton transit service refusing Pamela Geller’s adds which attempt to offer help to muslim girls in danger of being killed by their families.
2. More on this issue. The clip opens with a city councillor speaking on the issue and Tarek Fatah about the law suit against the city.
I would like to take this opportunity to say that the number of ‘honour killings’ or femicides that take place in Canada are staggeringly higher than the few cases that became famous. I can say this because I have heard enough stories from people telling about their own experiences with neighbours and colleagues etc. Also perhaps its time to have adverts offering girls a hot-line to call who’s families are trying to force them into a life of domestic and sexual slavery, usually to a cousin in a way which is, as far as I know, illegal in Canada.
Honour killings are a by product of refusing these arrangements often, but forced ‘marriage’ is amazingly common and needs to be addressed if we are to even pretend to preserve Canadian values.

Lots of nice comments after the fact, but it takes someone with the guts of Geller to get this into the public arena, right?
yes. What is your point?
Mr. Coren, If ‘the vast majority of peaceful Muslims’ are appalled by honour killings, why aren’t they in the streets in numbers following every such horrific incident peacefully protesting them? Why aren’t Muslims running these ads, instead of Pamela Geller? Yes, the ads are a public service. Why should any peace-loving, people-loving Muslim be offended? What is more offensive, an ad or a killing?
