Ironically, according to Islam any music for entertainment is quite strictly forbidden. In fact even in Western Canada where Islam has infected many urban areas quite deeply, many schools are being pressured to allow an exemption for muslim children for music classes. In Ottawa as well, many Muslim students will attend a music class but not participate and demand the right to get a high mark for writing an essay on course material without learning to actually participate in it.
