Washington, DC — Two weeks ago, I reported here that the Obama administration had dug itself into a minefield of lies about the Benghazi terrorist attack that the president would have to cross to get to Election Day. Whether he will do so unscathed remains unclear, but if Barack Obama is re-elected president on November 6, it will be for one reason only. It will be because the US media threw themselves on every Benghazi bombshell that threatened the president, shutting down democracy in the process.
Not all of the media, of course. Fox News, WND.com, Daily Beast, Reuters, CNN, CBS and others have reported most of the key facts now available. These include, first, the revelation that intelligence immediately indicated the US consulate in Benghazi was destroyed in a planned terrorist attack, not as the result of a “spontaneous” protest triggered by a Youtube video. The latter scenario, however, is the demonstrable lie the Obama administration, including President Obama, repeatedly told for weeks. Later, the State Department established the fact that no “protest” at all occurred before the attack. The Obama administration explanation for these and other discrepancies? “Bad intelligence” or “fog of war.” The major media largely agree, no questions asked. Literally.
This past week, a new set of factors emerged darkly underscoring the appearance of a White House cover-up. These include the publication of the email bulletins that alerted the highest administration officials that the US consulate in Benghazi was under terrorist attack. These emails began arriving in Washington within the first hour of what would stretch into an eight-hour battle. We also learned that the Americans under rocket and mortar fire in Libya repeatedly called for military support; that military support was within two hours’ flying time; and that no help was ever deployed. Four Americans, including the US Ambassador, were killed in the attack that left many others wounded.
The MSM is proving they are in Obama’s pocket, however I don’t think the election is going to be close enough that even the Dems will be able to steal it, although from the early reports they are trying real hard.
This is disgraceful. A story with the potential to be hotter than Watergate is just sitting there and the mainstream media is ignoring it because they’re afraid it will make Barrack Obama look bad. Apparently it doesn’t take a dictatorship or secret police or concentration camps to create an environment where there is no freedom of the press, all it takes is a united community of journalists committed to one particular narrative. Sure, Fox News or Vlad Tepes can talk about it, and the secret police don’t arrive, but the message doesn’t get past the circle of people who can’t stand Obama anyway. You try to tell anybody, and it just sounds like more partisan sniping – they don’t want to hear it.
From what I can see, they are quite successfully hiding this story from the public – the techniques they are using to achieve this are working very well. Oh, how happy Dr. Goebbels would have been to have seen this. I believe that the average person knows nothing whatsoever about Benghazi, and could care less… Unbelievable.
Does this mean Joe Biden will be President after Mr. Hussein gets impeached?
Why doesn’t the United States Army stage a giant protest march? That would snap the media out of their dream-state. What do you bet that the average US armed forces type isn’t among the group that knows nothing about Benghazi. If I was one of them, I’d have one huge burning question I’d be wanting to ask Mr. President. Did you fail to send in the cavalry when it was clearly time to send in the cavalry? Did you leave our guys high and dry, on purpose for some reason? I’d really be wondering about that if I were a US Marine. Like, maybe enough to stand on the side of the freeway jumping up and down with a sign in my hand. Make the media look, at least, in the right direction…
