Police are to have decided an arrest last night, after it became known that Ubaydullah Hussain, leader of Profetens Ummah, threatened jews in Norway.
This morning, police took action against the apartment of Ubaydullah Hussain, leader of the islamist organisation Profetens Ummah.
According to the information obtained by NRK [state tv/radio], police decided to detain Hussain, after yesterday having threatened jews in Norway.

Today around 11, police took action against Hussain’s apartment in Bjerke, Oslo. NRK’s reporter on location tells that police were present with three vehicles and eight officers.

Police were equipped with shields, sledgehammer and and axe, ready to enter the apartment with force, should this become necessary. After a while, however, one of Hussain’s family members is said to have opened the front door.

‘I can confirm that there has been police action at Bjerke. I cannot say anything else about the background of this action, other than that the individual we were looking for was not there’, says operasjonsleder i Oslo politidistrikt, Sven Martin Ege, to NRK.no.

Ege refers to the matter being investigated by Stovner politistasjon. Stovner police does not wish to comment on this matter.

This morning, police took action against Ubaydullah Hussain’s apartment in Oslo.
Yesterday, Hussain published the following message on Facebook:

‘I will give them protection, I. InshAllah. As soon as I have passed the hunter test and got an AK47.’

The background for this message was a VG article about norwegian jews not having police protection and feeling insecure after terror attacks in other european countries.

‘This is an ambiguous commentary, and it must be up to whoever to speculate about the comment’s meaning. I neither want to confirm nor to deny that this is a threat’, said Hussain last night to NRK.

He does not exclude either a new attack against the Oslo synagogue.

‘They are part of an occupational power, Israel. As long as a group, religion or people is in a physical war with islam, then they are our enemies. Any group or country involved in war with another party must expect a response’, said Hussain.

Last night, Oslo politidistrikt informed NRK that they had opened penal proceedings, and that they would start an investigation.

PST [secret service] was also notified, and they intended to continue assessing the situation.

Upon a question posed by NRK earlier this month if Hussain would warn authorities, in case he knew about a planned terror attack in Norway, he responded: ‘No comment.’

Hussain is a well-known figure in the radical moslem milieu. He has said earlier that ‘the world needs a new Osama bin Laden’.

He leads the radical islamist group Profetens Ummah, which – among other things – in september had organised the demonstration before the american embassy against the Mohammed film.

Hussain has also claimed that the majority of norwegian nationals who have taken to Syria to fight against Assad are members of his organisation.

Ubaydullah Hussain was among the demonstrators outside the american embassy in september.
