When I married V.??S. Naipaul and moved to England in 1996, I thought I had left the horror behind.

Pakistan had drained my resolve, and I was tired of fighting a losing battle. To me, England, for all its ills, was the promised land.

Instead, I have found the horror I fled has followed me here. It is all around, eroding the very core of everything Britain believes in.

I see it everywhere. In the haunted eyes of young Pakistani girls, brought up in Britain, who know nothing but a Westernised life: young women who work happily behind beauty counters in our department stores, yet must return home to parents who refuse to emerge from their cultural ghettos.

And who expect their daughters to accept traditional arranged marriages to distant cousins brought up in rural Pakistan.

Desperate to integrate, these young girls change their names to sound more British. They are happy to have white boyfriends, to go clubbing. They certainly do not want forced marriages.

When I talk to them they are seething with anger that their parents – some semi-literate – insist upon entrenching themselves in Muslim ghettos, erecting cultural barriers and refusing to integrate, rejecting any semblance of a British way of life.

I see the same anger in young Muslim men who desperately want to join the mainstream, but cannot because deeply traditional parents expect strict adherence to traditional Islamic family life. It is easy to see how the clash between the generations can become corrosive, how at its most destructive extreme it can culminate in ‘honour killings’.

  1. When I talk to them they are seething with anger that their parents – some semi-literate – insist upon entrenching themselves in Muslim ghettos, erecting cultural barriers and refusing to integrate, rejecting any semblance of a British way of life.

Then how is it that most of the young Muslims, wish to see sharia in the UK?

Could it be that they want the good life as Muslim men deserve, but at the same time be top dog. For that is what it is like in Pakistan and other Muslim countries.

  2. Many of the kids want to live as westerners in a civilized society, their parents products of the old countries and the Arab culture object, conflict like this is inevitable but it is only with the Moslems that it turns violent.

  3. Pakis should give up Islam. It has brought them nothing but inbreeding and the mutilated penis. I think the failure of muzzies in Britain has woken some of them up. I met a Pakistani muzzie who converted to Hinduism recently! He was ten time more scathing about muzzies then we could ever be on Vlad.

  4. Sometimes I wonder about Arab culture. What is it about this nasty little culture that keeps people in its grip. It certainly is not successful overall but a little bit of success makes it go into overdrive in the minds of some people. A writer called Mohammad Ashgar says that when he lived in Bangladesh there was a time when people would work for food. Now compared to those times there has been modest progress as economically people are a bit richer (Bangladesh is still rock bottom compared to most countries though) and so they have become interested in Jihad and Islam. So for a long time I though poverty was the answer and still do to some extent. The only fly in the ointment with this theory of poverty making for less islam is that the poorest country in the world Somalia is keen on Jihad. Also Afghanistan is very keen and both make it into the top ten of the failed states index. Now I feel that the case of Bangladesh is different since they still have a lot of their old Indian culture whereas the Somalis and Afghans are completely Allahfied. So poverty makes no difference here. Allah is all they know. Will poverty make a difference in Iran in the future when they run out of oil? Yes. They imbibed some western culture when the Shah ruled. So they know something other than Islam. When the oil runs out they will then be rock bottom in the world economically but as the country descends into anarchy and mass starvation they will emerge to some extent de-allahfied. Yemen has hit rock bottom already and it is like a mini Somalia. From Al BBC:
Yemen is facing an economic and political crisis as the country’s oil resources near exhaustion, a report by a London-based think-tank says.
The Royal Institute for International Affairs warns that instability there could expand a zone of lawlessness from northern Kenya to Saudi Arabia.
It describes Yemen’s democracy as “fragile” and points to armed conflicts with Islamists and tribal insurgents.
One diplomat says that the country’s prospects get worse every month.
The World Bank predicts that Yemen’s oil and gas revenues will plummet over the next two years and fall to zero by 2017 as supplies run out.
Given that they provide around 90% of the country’s exports, this could be catastrophic.
An unnamed energy expert is quoted in the report as saying that this points to economic collapse within four of five years time.

So there you it. If you think things are bad now just wait. And then early on in the next decade Saudi will start posting bad data as their consumption of dwindling oil reserves means less and less is available for export. By the end of the next decade the world will have changed forever. That seems like a long time in the future but the Asian economies are not going to stand still as they get richer and the oil religion gets poorer and poorer. With a variety of outcomes for oil societies in hard times and the west with its own abundant supplies the world will change because the economics have changed. The leftist in the West will leave the muzzies as they will have failed to deliver the chaos they need for leftist revolutions and the stupid western politicians will look elsewhere for bribes. The leftist will have lots of money but will be at the end of their tether in finding a new victim group they can exploit for their own ends. The white working class did not do it for them . The ex black slaves who endured jim crow did not do it either. Now the muzzies are failing and the west keeps on backing this losing horse even though planners in Saudi and Iran know all to well of the economic collapse awaiting them in the next few decades. Still the leftist with all their money will be making mischief in other ways by then. They will still be around. They have the deepest pockets of all. The muzzies still have some way to go as the number one loved group of the left but soon the left’s patience will run out and the petro dollars will also run out. Nothing lasts forever. The left know that and for all I know they may even be scouting around for the next victim group to exploit.

  5. Don Islam remains in power through the use of force and terror, Mohammad set it up that way and it has remained in force ever since. You have to remember Mohammad set up his cult to appeal to the brigands and other looters, not the merchants, that is why it appeals to the poor, and keeps people poor it is designed for the people who don’t want to work but would rather steal.
