Toronto Sun: “…describing the killer as a dark-skinned man wearing a hoodie and baggy pants…”

The Toronto Sun seems to be the only available description of the shooter, and I checked youtube and twitter till 3:30 AM Toronto time this morning looking for one. In fact, several youtube channels have been closed down that had videos of the event, one channel was even called, ‘Eaton Center Shooting’.

Ot can’t have been copyright issues as the recordings of TV news were all still up there. It would appear, but I cannot state this is the case, that cell phone and amateur videos from those present seem to have been meticulously scrubbed from the public domain.

Next time I will check the Toronto Sun first. At least they seem to remember the basics of what journalism is supposed to do.

Inform the public.

Thanks to Blazing Cat Fur where I found a link to this.

  1. Just a bit of diversity unpleasantness. Toronto would be just another vanilla berg without its diversity, enjoy your long wished for goal of being a “world class city” Toronto. I’m sure I will avoid going there someday.
