February 18, 2011 STRATFOR:
A group of around 100 protesters in Manama are now separated from police by several blocks in a tense standoff, CNN reported Feb. 17. Some witnesses have also claimed that tanks have fired on protesters. A Guardian reporter says up 10,000 people are chanting anti-regime slogans inside hospital grounds in another part of the city.
Well they have got the tanks out but it will not stop this thing in the long term. The desert brown men are just making more work for themselves. What they need to do is meet the demands of the people come what may. However, if they buy themselves enough time then they can build a palace or two elswhere and get ready to flee come round two of this battle.
