  1. Eeyore,

I find nothing amusing about Bill Maher. He is very brave on CNN but I ahve seen him smothered onFOX.

Maher deserves to live in a blue state which are most vulnerable to a muslim terror strike.

I do not take Maher serious whenever he speaks no matter what he is saying.

  2. I agree with you Maher he doesn’t have a clue what separation of church and state means.

But he did make one good line in that video.
When a christen looks over a neighbors fence and sees his neighbor mowing the law he doesn’t say to himself, “working on Sunday.. I should kill him.”

  3. Each and every one of his points is valid and the ending is priceless, though for the price of OPEC oil and gas, the western world will sell our civilization, out culture and above all, our ethics and values to sharia law-obeying Muslims who would like to see nothing more than the kufar (which, incidentally means shit in Arabic), to be destroyed.

Since the time of the Magna Carta (sorry US, freedom from despots and slavery didn’t start with you), the western world has gone from strenght to strength in establishing human rights, improving health care and technology and creating what is, for all intents and purposes, a better world than what has gone before. Its flawed, as all human systems are, but at least it has built up freedoms for most citizens on the planet and there is one, and only one, ideology that wants to take it all away in fire and blood.

That ideology is Islam and must be stopped.

Maher didn’t go so far as to say we have to go out and stop immigration from Muslim countries, but he may as well have done so when he said that immigrants should assimilate and obey the laws of the land, not sharia law.

No matter what people think of Bill Maher, his points are valid and carry with them the weight of almost 1,000 years of western civilization, culminating in what may be the most powerful documents that have come out of European thought; the US Constitution, the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights.

For from the last document in particular came the basis for the UNs Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which is under threat by Muslim members of the Human Rights Council.

Islam is the enemy, not the hundreds of millions of Muslims who want a better life in the free world. We have to see that difference, just as Muslims should see that the average American is not the entirety of the US, nor a symbol of the US but a person deserving of the rights and freedoms that the west has given him/her.

I wish that more people would speak up like Bill Maher did, though unfortunately, so few will take the time to understand what he said. While so many are watching Oprah or reality TV, playing video games or surfing the internet, there are those like Geert Wilders and the troops in Afghanistan who are doing their best to defend the west against an implacable enemy. An enemy that has risen on the money that OPEC has given it and shows no sign of letting up.

Bill Maher may not be the nicest, or the smartest guy on the planet, but his speech is a defence of almost 1,000 years of western civilization and should be heeded.
