Canada stimulates [justified] draconian response from Trump in order to win majority in likely upcoming election: Links post 1 for Oct. 24, 2025

1. Trump says trade talks with Canada ‘terminated,’ claiming Ontario used ‘fake’ anti-tariff Reagan ad

I would love to respond to this with some clever insults or nicknames to one or more characters in this link in a chain of events designed to destroy Canada in every possible way. But that would be defaulting to Hanlon’s Razor. When leaders consistently make decisions or take actions that always yield the same results, then the purpose of those actions is to achieve those results. In other words, it is malice, and not incompetence that drives these actions. Even European leaders have managed to forge deals with the United States. But Canada consistently does things and says things which destroy our relationship, and use a mightily well tuned propaganda engine to blame Donald Trump.

It MUST be understood that the add, which costed CDN $75M dollars, which likely is money to be used to bring in, house and feed more migrants as well as likely whatever finds is way to the politicians involved, was knowingly fraudulent. That they deliberately edited a Raegan speech to try and make it look like Raegan was anti-tariff. Trump responded believing that the purpose was to interfere in US law and policy. I think he is wrong. I think it was so he would react in the way he did to help get Carney a majority by using hatred of Trump. This is exactly the reason that Hamas attacked Israel on Oct. 7 a few years ago. Specifically because the reaction by Israel managed, with the help of a captured media, to foment anti-Israel and anti-semitism to a degree not seen since the early days of the Nazi era.

Canada’s ersatz representative of the people, Carney, stated in plain English that the relationship with the Untied States has changed for ever. I think he missed the part where he said he would change it.

Ford has been an obsequious toady to Trudeau and now Carney. I would call him a Uriah Heap, but that Dickens character was disingenuously boot licking in order to advance his own agenda at the expense of his bosses. Compared to Ford, one is tempted to have a little respect for old Uriah. Ford prostrates himself to the far left extremist leaders at the Federal level in order to help them achieve their agenda, and at the expense of Canada.

It will be at least entertaining to watch Ford now empty out a box of Krispy Kreme donuts on camera. But something tells me he will have a plate under them just below camera view.

UPDATE: The more I look into this, the worse it looks for Ford and Canada

UPDATE II:

After a conversation with a friend, CG it occurred to us that in fact this was a tactic similar to the Palestinian/Leftist tacts on many other issues.

  1. Do something that will provoke your enemy into doing something that will hurt your own people/constituents
  2. play victim and claim it was your enemy’s fault that he reacted to your provocation which you wanted him to do
  3. hold an election so that when you finagle a majority government, you have plausible deniability that Canadians are so angry with Trump over this they elected a champion to fight him, when in fact they elected the person who caused the problem in order to bring Canada to its knees and then implement the communist agenda he had in mind from the start.

2. This appears to be an actual opposition MPP in BC. Something the ‘Conservative’ party in that and other provinces most certainly is not.

It should be mentioned though, that the purpose of the ‘Land acknowledgements’ is categorically not about Amer-Indian rights. It is, as communists always do, a way of using created, real or imagined Amer-Indian victimhood in order to negate the titles, rights and history of Western Civilization and its adherents. After all, if people who came to North America historically from Europe and built a thriving civilization with rule of law cannot claim to determine what takes place in that polity, then what right have we to object to the mass immigration of millions upon millions of defacto illegal immigrants who are here to destroy every component of our culture, history, religions and individual rights? And that is the real purpose of the land claims. To never let us forget that we are being erased. Amer-Indians who support these land claims are myopic at best. The Muslim, India-Indians and African replacements for Europeans who are now setting the laws and culture of Canada will not give a single eagle feathers worth of a damn about 1st peoples. They do not share our history, and they do not share white people’s guilt, deservedly or not. And so they will not share legacy Canadian’s sense of obligation to them. I really hope this message gets through. It is an absolute certainty in terms of the future of the Amer-Indian and Inuit peoples of Canada.

3. Great moment by a comedian on France and a follow up on some very funny material selling Global Warming.

Actually what is even funnier is this clip of Al Gore doing a 10/10 propaganda effort to sell Global Warming as caused by auto-exhaust. It’s actually good theatre till he says: “Boiling the oceans”. I remember a news story from maybe 20 years or so ago when a couple of women went to the Arctic with bikinis to show how much the world has warmed. It did not work out well for them at all.

The following clip is from a 2015 protest in Ottawa on Global Warming. The questions at the start of the clip are quite valid questions. As are the ones posed to the protestors. But the statement by the speaker about “our brothers and sisters in the North” is priceless.

4. Funny, I know what he is saying. But what I am hearing is: “as from next week,
the chocolate ration would be reduced from thirty grammes to twenty.” […] “It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank
Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grammes a week. And
only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was
to be REDUCED to twenty grammes a week.”

5. It is amazing what you can do when you have an intact culture and a homogeneous population.

All I can add to that is:

  1. Re: the whole trade/ad fiasco, I do think there’s plenty to go around as far as blame, and yes, I’m a big believer of a system is what it does, and even in Carney’s short time, he has shown he’s not an honest broker in terms of not only not doing a deal so far, but more importantly, not building some stability under our feet as far as pipelines, refineries, other major projects to make a market for materials being tarrifed, whether a deal is done not.

Ford, I think, has eyes on PP’s job down the road, he loves the camera and thinks the world needs his take on things LOL. As far as the ad, I think anyone could have told him it was a poor idea, even if it was not as “fraudulent” as OMB says it is. If he was still determined to go ahead, after seeing the full radio address RR made, I’d have included the bit of him saying he talked to Canada about free trade, as most people have poor memories, and in the US, many think “free trade” only started with NAFTA, as the FTA did not have the effects on US jobs that NAFTA had, if anything, and you can go back and read old mags like Canadian Dimension to see what the anti free traders in Canada were saying at the time (ppl forget the liberals were the no free traders and the PC/GOP were the free traders in the 80s), they worried the US would be our “Mexico” and manufacturing jobs would head down to the US in exchange them giving us easier access to their markets for our natural resources, which while may sell for $$$ the amount of jobs was less than the manufacturing sector. (or to put it more pointedly, less than the jobs lost in vote rich southern Ontario ^^).

I’d have also had them include a bit on the error of widespread tariffs in the late20s/early 30s as thats something the US was/is taught a lot in school as the pretext for “muh magic FDR commie land” New Deal peoples glorious socialism.

It shows whoever advised and oversaw the copy of the ad, didnt know and understand the US market. A third issue is if he was going to run it in the US, run it in Blue states not Red.
Another issue of not understanding human nature and the US, on paper someone could say it made sense to air in areas that voted for Trump, so that when they spoke, he might listen more than if say NY, CA, IL opposed the tariffs, but again, that human memory issue, ppl in red states hold RR right next to JC, so asking them to take on board a cognitive dissonance, no matter how accurate, that messes with their view of RR and by windy road extent, DJT, was destined to fail.

MAGA types love to think that it only went bad with trade when slick willy “tricked” us into NAFTA, ignoring RR’s policy failures, massive debts, hollowing out the middle class, exporting jobs overseas, amnesty for illegals, no fault divorce when gov of CA, etc. and if youre a non free trader, he signed the first free trade deal with Canada.

To them, he is forever the gipper, scoring touchdowns with Bonzo over the evil commies, dunking a slam dunk on Gorbachev’s head (creating his port wine stain LOL JK) and riding a wrecking ball a la Miley Cyrus at the Berlin Wall. So the ad was bound to fail, and by removing it so quickly they’re just playing along with DJT’s view of it, but then, a system is what it does, they want to fumble the ball until either an election is called, or CUSMA gets reviewed in 26.
I also think it’s why the gov;t is going full on mental for tyranny bills, they’re hoping to trigger another election, best case for them, or worst case, they get some sweet rules to use when digital ID comes in, so win win for the Libs, a loss for us.
One last thing though that doesnt really get talked about in the battle between the Libs and PP’s people, is the fact that while everyone is mad at the Liberal boomers for putting Carney in again, and conservatives love Trump making him look foolish, theres a third group that gets ignored, I think because their view goes more along with the PPC/populist view.
Nobody it seems is looking at the fact that Trump massively interfered in our election to get Carney elected and saddle us all with another Trudeau style admin again, where if he had shut up with the whole 51st state crap, PP would have sailed to victory, we’d have a trade deal and projects would get built.
Trump screwed over ppl that were on his side post 2020 and were protesting the mandates, but then stabbed us in the back in the 24 election. Now you might think, well what does he care about Canada, but he also is screwing over the US as well.
Before he started all this, it was only mostly ultra conservative individuals and maybe Alberta and Sask at the most that wanted to leave for the US. Now Canadians may not be aware of this but the US has talked a lot before about adding 51st and more states, mostly D.C and Puerto Rico. GOP’er have resisted this strongly because the population there votes overwhelmingly Dem and would keep the senate out of GOP hands and make winning the house very hard in future, also the matter of Puerto Rico’s debt level as an issue as well to adding them to a state level.
So bearing all that in mind, if you were a US GOP/MAGA type, why on earth would you ever want ALL of Canada to join the US? It’s mental, it would be like adding another California to their electoral politics. That’s my biggest issue with his whole take this time around as 47 vs 45. MAGA types don’t understand or care about Trump saddling them with a broken socialist leadweight (theyre still ok with no epistein files and multiple wars.so….) and Libtard Canada boomers wet themselves to vote in moar tyranny, thinking it would fight Trump, and conservatives who bingewatch YT PP friendly content adoringly look on trump and wish for joining a nation that by the very nature of them all joining it, would ensure they don’t get the America they’re dreaming of, instead getting Dem run, MSNBC forever…. a pox on all their houses it seems for populist political orphans.

    • Thanks for perspective on Canadian voter response to another bizarre series of political jujitsu moves. I still shudder over the clumsiness that helped Carnage grab the ring.
