OK what is going on in Romania?

We are, as everyone is aware, in a state of war across the West and beyond, but so far it remains in the information or political-warfare stage.

Trying to get facts or truth from events gets more and more difficult. In no small part because a great deal of material that appears to be on the side of liberty and human rights and a more or less republic form of government is in fact disinformation.

Let’s define a couple of terms properly, and operationally:

Disinformation is the deliberate injection of a narrative or untruth that is intended to damage a target. The target can also be an idea or a set of facts damaging to those who launch the disinformation.

Misinformation is the naive passing along of disinformation by well meaning people who think the disinformation is correct. Often they can be motivated to extreme actions by their belief in the truth of the narrative attack. The Covid years’ set of mass line narrative attacks really should have taught us everything we needed to know to protect ourselves. But it didn’t, and the attacks are getting better.

One of the ways we might suspect a piece of information that speaks to our confirmation bias could be false, is the way a video is edited. If the speaker appears to be saying something truly horrible from our perspective and then the video ends abruptly mid sentence, you can bet there is context missing.

And currently there is clips of a high level EU apparatchik floating around suggesting that the EU cancelled the Romanian elections and may also have to cancel the German elections because the AfD is obviously going to win.

To our understanding, this is the moment the communist revolution goes from covert to overt. If they ban the AfD, it is arguably still covert because the illusion of the people having a say in terms of which communist party they can vote for is still in place. Therefore, one could say the revolution is still covert. But if what he said is that German elections would be cancelled altogether, then the revolution has crossed the line into overt. We have a new game.

I know we have a few educated readers here from Romania. I really hope they weigh in on the comments. There are apparently major protests in Romania over the actual annulment of an election where a non-communist party won.

But did Former EU Commissioner Thierry Breton in a recent interview say they would cancel or annul German elections coming up in February? OR was he talking about cancelling TiwtterX in those countries? As Europe and Canada already showed their hand by cancelling all Russian media’s ability to broadcast to a Western audience, it would be no surprise that they could cancel a public forum that may contain materials threatening to the revolution. But while cancelling Twitter in Romania and Germany would be very totalitarian, it would still be less overt and destructive perhaps as cancelling an election altogether because they don’t like who would win or who won. As appears to be the case in Romania.

Any solid fact based information on any of this would be very welcome. The materials I have seen so far are confusing. And where it is not confusing, is of uncertain validity.

  1. I ain’t from Romania, am from the closer region.
    But yeah, it is very strange what happened there.
    And as per Romanian law, afaik, in Romania there should be a presidential interregnum, since Iohannis’s term is over. And if a new president is not elected, that does not mean that he can stay in power. But seemingly this is the case. At least that is what was written in the local media. But perhaps a native romanian can really tell.

    Also it is nice to see someone else picking up this interesting statement, that if the germans vote in a way we don’t like we will annul their election just like in Romania. I was quite surprised when i heard this for the first time and was also surprised how this did not garner as much attention as it should.

    As per what i heard/read there was a 100K+ strong demo in Romania a few days ago because of the annuled election.

    1) 1989 coup detat / revolution.decade of terror, fear.etc
    Ceausescu decided in 1979 to pay all what romania own to de central bank.So 10 years we exported all in the detriment of our people.During the communism the industry developed, we had energy,agriculture ( yes communist, not very modern nor very efficient.tye agriculture was in communes and I remember animals where not taken care of very well but over all we where ok.
    Did not have freedom to leave the country, freedom to speak…
    So ceusescu was killed, but the body of the hydra , the information system, security the big communist block remained.( this is very simple put).
    2) after 1989 hyenas like Sorors came in.First think they did was to buy the major industrial sites and instead to modernize and continue, they destroy them.
    All the good industrial sites that wher productive where sold and then destroyed , that is because the west did not want to have any competition against their stuff.
    Then they came and started opening the big malls with their stuff , their food ( we never imported food, we have the most organic and good food around).
    So slowly slowly the west ( Germany, Austria, Italy)dismantle all that we produced.Now they tried to dismantle the agriculture.First they invented all kinds of diseases so we culled most of the pigs, chickens and now the sheep.
    It’s so hard for me to tell you all … it’s so hard.
    But of course this would not have happened without traitors from within.
    Corruption , betrayal,mizery.
    10 million people where forced to leave in order to survive.I did.
    This is just a small window in what happened.
    3) the current government is the same corrupted criminal organization sold to the EU interest.I hate hate EU, should be dissolved.
    Majority of people don’t want them,they understand the issues, Tu at least 30% are part of this mafia ( government jobs, connections etc).
    So it is a lot of contradiction between the normal people and the “ specials”
    I give you just the latest example of disaster and betrayal == we have gas in Black Sea .the fucking Austrians and Germans want that oil ( because the Russian oil is not available anymore and the americas sell gas compressed at very high price).So the government gave the concession for this gas to the Austrians as an exchange to enter in shenghen ( shenghen is shit).that in the same time my Romanians the price for gas is enormity ( it should be cheap).
    4) enter georgescu = the guy is a smart guy that knows his shit, worked with the parasites un UN for many years, he know what gives.
    Obviously the gov and the ex president do not what him and bruxelle don’t want him because he will discuss the issue and don’t let them steal what is left.
    That is why that garbage French Breton was talking about,
    And now instead to let the second tour of election to continue , they are afraid he will win, and they will be all in jail.
    Very big problem.
    I tell you guys, the future of Europe is the Eastern Europe.
    The west is gone, Muslims will take over in 10 years.
    In the east muslims will be lunched if they try terrorism or such.
    But I am looking forward for the Eastern Europe to go to hell.They destroyed my country.

  4. I’m Romanian, living in Romania, and I have right-wing views. Calin Georgescu presents himself as a Romanian version of Trump or perhaps Viktor Orban. He has even claimed a friendship with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., though this has never been confirmed by Kennedy. Georgescu opposes the establishment controlled by the European Union, criticizes “oligarchs,” George Soros, and NATO’s involvement in the war in Ukraine, which is all fine. While some of his positions may resonate, his speeches reveal significant problems. He frequently advocates for the nationalization of land and the takeover of foreign-owned businesses. Additionally, he admires past Romanian fascist leaders from the WWII era.

    For a deeper understanding of Georgescu, listening to some of his discussions is recommended, such as his conversation with Reiner Fuellmich (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctwNUYShvL0), where he makes outlandish claims about people in the Pacific living for 200 years, or his recent talk with Shawn Ryan (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S7aw7ELkkbo). It may take a couple of hours, but it could help you decide whether he is a genuine political figure or a fraud riding the Trump wave.

    My comments should not be interpreted as a defense of the Romanian government’s actions in allowing him to run, even promoting him, and then canceling the election.

      Here is the Romanian that is in diaspora.
      Georgescu sounds funny but he is smart, articulate and patriot.
      You I bet are controlled opposition- Sososca and the like.
      He wants to nationalize the waters and our resources which I think it is a good think.Do you want to give the oil to Austria and Germany??

        I am also a romanian living outside…but no so outside like you…still in Europe.
        The communism of Ceausescu was a national type of communism. And even he was not the brightest brain in the world, he was smart enough to select best brains in the most important institutions. There were political people and high educated people. I was a military during that time.
        In all military units there were also political security officers.
        Contra-information. We never had respect for them and they knew it. We showed every time that thing to them. This is why at a moment they decided to create kind of a small separated unit inside the military units, in order to protect themselves against our evident dislike.
        So, yes, Ceausescu was forced by the World Bank and Monetary Fond to pay all external debt in 15 years, instead of 25 years as agreed first. Until 1978, life in Romania was good…I remember german, italian, swedish tourists in Romania. After 1979 things start getting bad. Ceausescu was aware of the fact that if he does not pay, Romania will have the same fate as Cuba…economically isolated. He didnt want to accept this and he forced us to work harder to pay the debt. And in october 1989 at the last communist congress, he announced that Romania payed all. He also announced that from now on, all the “fruits” of romanian work will be used to elevate romanians quality of life. That was to much. He died. During the revolution, Soros was in Bucharest to meet and coordinate the new “national” leading government. There are many things to say…but…
        First private NGO registered in Romania was Soros NGO.
        Open Society.
        Now…I saw many of Georgescu interviews…I dont consider him very intelligent…just smart…But I consider that if he loves Romania only in a proportion of 1% from what he says, then he can do a lot for Romania. It can also very well be a decoy…But, as long he does not get the chance to show, then we dont really get the chance to see what he is. A patriot, or a mole. With all current politicians, there is everything clear. They care about their accounts and thats it. As I see on Romanian TV stations and forum discussions on Romanian forums, people are decided to fight. If you dont fight, if you say no…then you silently accept to became a slave. I think romanians got to the point where they understand this. As I read today, demonstrations in Romania and Europe (by diaspora) are growing more and more. Today they talked about 3 millions demonstrators in Romania (all big cities) and diaspora. In the same time, military troops and tanks from UK, France and Italy (I think) are entering Romania. Looks like EU want to directly attack Russia from Poland and Romania. They want war. This is why they are there, the EU leaders. They are selected in those positions exactly for this. This is also why they (EU) dont want a patriot in Romanian president position. They need somebody to execute orders.
        There are so many things to talk about…and life is short…

  5. A dangerous experiment has taken place in Romania, which may be a precedent applicable to other countries.
    It was a coup d’état, on the orders of the EU, the Constitutional Court violated the Constitution, we have an illegitimate, very corrupt government, appointed by an illegitimate president.
