Update: The FBI now says it is a terrorist attack. The flag is pretty obviously a Jihad flag. Also because the police or some official managed to wrap it up before a proper photo could be taken of it.

    In the wake of the devastating New Year’s Day attack on Bourbon Street, New Orleans, law enforcement agencies are intensifying efforts to identify and apprehend additional suspects linked to the incident.

    The primary assailant, identified as 42-year-old Shamsud Din Jabbar, was fatally shot by police after he drove a pickup truck into a crowd, resulting in ten deaths and over thirty injuries.

    Investigators have uncovered evidence suggesting that Jabbar did not act alone, Fox News reported.

    A high-level source indicated that there are at least four to five other suspects involved in the planning and execution of this heinous act.

    The FBI has taken the lead in this investigation, treating the incident as an act of terrorism.

    The attack, which occurred at approximately 3:15 a.m. on January 1st, saw Jabbar, dressed in full military gear, maneuver his vehicle around barricades before plowing into the crowd.

    After the vehicle came to a stop, he opened fire on responding officers, injuring two, who are now in stable condition. An ISIS flag was reportedly found in the truck.

    Authorities are conducting a comprehensive grid search of the French Quarter, looking for any additional explosive devices and gathering evidence to identify accomplices.

    Jabbar is a 42-year-old resident of Houston, Texas. Police shot and killed him after he crashed his pickup truck and began to shoot at officers.

    A Glock handgun and .308 caliber rifle equipped with optics and a sensor were recovered from the crime scene, according to a high-level source familiar who was not authorized to discus details of the investigation publicly.

    An ISIS flag was also found on the pickup truck.

    There are at least four to five other suspects involved, the source said.

    5 total suspected terrorists. One dead, looking for four more.

      The monster who murdered 12 innocent New Year’s revelers in New Orleans has been identified.

      A law enforcement officer told NOLA.com that the suspect accused of plowing a massive truck through the crowd on Bourbon Street is 42-year-old Shamsud Din Jabbar.

      Moreover, he was carrying an ISIS flag in the truck.

      As The Gateway Pundit reported earlier, a terror attack hit New Orleans this morning with at least 12 people dead and at least 35 injured. Now, one person has come forward with disturbing details alleging a massive security breakdown.

      Fox News reported a driver in a white pick-up truck intentionally plowed a car into a crowd of New Year’s gatherers on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, according to authorities.

      The suspect died during the gunfight with police. It is unclear at this point if it was suicide by cop or he took his own life.

      We now have more information on the terrorist. His name is Shamsu Din-Jabbar.

      As Cullen Linebarger from The Gateway Pundit reported earlier, a deranged man drove his truck through the packed crowd on Bourbon Street in New Orleans last night.

      Once the vehicle came to a stop, the driver jumped out and started firing on the crowd. At least ten people are dead, and two police officers are injured.

      There are now reports of a suspicious black flag that was attached to the back of the truck bed by the terrorist. It is not clear what the flag means at this time, but it could be the flag of ISIS or another terror group.

      FOX is now reporting that the truck entered the US in November and the NOLA terrorist was NOT driving the vehicle when it entered the US.

It crossed on November 16th, and the identification of the driver that crossed the border does not appear to be the shooter. We will get more clarification, we expect, Molly, in just four or five minutes from investigators on the ground.

      According to NOLA, authorities and bomb squad technicians arrived to a rental at 1329 Mandeville Street to investigate after firefighters put out the blaze.

      The Airbnb was reportedly rented by Shamsud Din Jabbar.

      No word on injuries at the rental property.

      Dozens of people were evacuated from the St. Roch area Wednesday morning after a fire broke out an Airbnb that investigators believe is connected to a deadly New Year’s Day attack on Bourbon Street.

      Law enforcement officials and bomb squad detectives were called to 1329 Mandeville Street after firefighters doused flames that broke out at the rental, according to sources close to the investigation. Investigators believe the Airbnb was rented by the suspect in the Bourbon Street attack, sources said.

      Officials did not immediately release more information about the fire.

    A shocking scene incident was witnessed in Las Vegas this morning right in front of one of President Trump’s hotels.

    Video footage has emerged showing a Tesla Cyber Truck bursting into flames after blowing up right in front of the Trump International Hotel on the Vegas Strip. KSNV reported that the incident occurred around 8:41 a.m. in the 2000 block of Fashion Show Drive.

    Witnesses said that they heard a boom or loud bang. One person who recorded the video said he thought the battery blew.

    Emergency crews responded to the fire, which has since been put out. Multiple police vehicles and ambulances were also seen in the area.

    Las Vegas Metropolitan Police (LVMP) confirmed they were investigating the incident. It is unclear at this point at this point whether anyone has been injured or whether this is criminal-related.

    FOX 5 Las Vegas reported that Fashion Show Drive is currently closed from Las Vegas Boulevard to Sammy Davis Jr. Drive.

    People are being asked to avoid the area.

    News of this incident comes after today’s attack in New Orleans, where a terrorist slaughtered 12 innocent citizens and wounded at least 35 others. While there is no evidence these events are related, such circumstances will not engender additional confidence in the leaders ‘running’ our country.

      • The two bombings are connected but I am not convinced they were done by the same people, New Orleans is clearly a jihad attack while the Vegas attack was meant to deliver a message. I have never heard of a jihad group sending a message that didn’t involve murdering a group of people. This suggests that there were two groups involved, one a Jihad group and the other a home grown US terrorist group. Remember ANTIFA is copying the tactics of the 70s and 80s terror groups that would try and limit the number of dead while scaring people. During that time period the US terrorists were often trained by jihad groups in North Africa so the Soviets who were usually paying the US terror groups had plausible deniability. That is why the modern US group (ANTIFA) joined a Maoist group of Kurds to get their weapons and tactics training.         Government officials told ABC News that the Tesla Cybertruck explosion on Wednesday outside the Trump Las Vegas hotel in Nevada is being investigated as a “possible act of terror.”

        Here’s more from ABC:

        Investigators do not know what caused the blast, such as whether something was wrong with the vehicle or whether something external prompted it. Determining what was behind the explosion is the key focus of the probe.

        An official briefed on the probe told ABC News that the Tesla Cybertruck had a load of fireworks-style mortars onboard. Investigators are urgently working to determine a motive and whether the driver intended to set off an explosion and why.

        Until a motive is determined and other possibilities are ruled out, police are treating the explosion like a possible criminal act and a possible act of terror. Evidence collection and investigation are ongoing.

      • I just saw a video on FOX of the Tesla cybertruck, from the video it is obvious that the explosive was just laying in the bed of the truck with some gas and fireworks next to it. The attack was designed to make a loud noise and create a large fireball without doing much over-pressure damage to the vehicle. This was message to President Trump and Elon Musk that they and their property was being targeted in a terror war, this means that it probably wasn’t the jihad group responsible for New Orleans behind this explosion.

        From what I have seen over the 78 years I have lived is that the jihadist groups want to send messages by the number of dead bodies they can leave behind. The European terrorists usually try and prevent large causality events but want to leave behind either a video of the explosion or scare people through the potential of a large number of causalities that would have happened if they hadn’t called in a bomb threat.

      Law enforcement has confirmed the cause of the Cybertruck explosion outside Trump International Hotel Las Vegas on New Year’s Day was caused by a bomb and/or large fireworks in the truck bed.

      The incident, which took place at 8:40 a.m. local time, is being investigated as a possible terror attack.

      Fifteen people were killed in the New Orleans attack.

      Seven people were injured in the Cybertruck explosion, and the driver was killed.

      Four people believed to be connected to the New Orleans attack were caught on camera planting explosives.

      Two unnamed sources told local station 8 News Now that investigators believe the explosion was “an intentional act and not an accident.”

      The name of the driver has not been publicly released at the time of publishing.

      “As you can imagine, with an explosion here on an iconic Las Vegas boulevard, we are taking all of the precautions that we need to take to keep our community safe,” Sheriff Kevin McMahill of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said during a press conference. “We’re looking for secondary devices. We’re taking it slow and we are going to make sure that we remain safe in our community.”

      McMahill has warned people to stay away from the area, though he does not believe there is an ongoing threat.

      “But obviously a Cybertruck … the Trump hotel — there’s lots of questions that we have to answer as we move forward with that,” McMahill said.

      The FBI is investigating.

    The vehicular massacre on Bourbon Street is still sending shockwaves throughout the nation, and there are still a lot of questions left to be answered.

    I won’t necessarily say that the one I’m about to ask is the biggest, but it’s right up there.

    Why did the FBI lie about it?

    See, it seems they started off by trying to tell the media that no, this wasn’t terrorism, when in fact it was. Now, I’m always willing to allow for the possibility that things changed since the FBI made that statement, but as my colleague over at RedState, Bonchie, they had all the information before they said a thing.

    The man who carried out the terrorist attack on Bourbon Street in New Orleans has been identified as Shamsud Din Jabbar, and he is being investigated for having ties to ISIS.

    As RedState reported previously, the truck used to mow down dozens of people went through a border crossing at Eagle Pass, TX in November. It is not clear whether that fact is connected to the attacker because the truck was a rental. Regardless, the assailant exited the vehicle after ramming through the crowd and started shooting. He was eventually killed by police after a firefight. CPR failed to revive him.

    Notably and inexcusably, the FBI initially proclaimed this was not a terrorist attack, with the FBI Special Agent in Charge making that statement after New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell had already confirmed it was one.

    FBI ASSISTANT SPECIAL AGENT: This is not a terrorist event. What it is right now is there improvised explosive devices that was found, and we are working on confirming if this is a viable device or not.

    It wasn’t immediately clear if the spokeswoman (that was the role she was operating in for the moment) didn’t realize the mayor had already let the cat out of the bag or if the FBI simply wanted to keep things under wraps for the time being, but it was another example of why the bureau has lost so much trust among the American public.

    Returning to the attacker, I had seen a picture of him post-mortem before his identity was revealed. He had a darker complexion with a beard. He was also wearing combat fatigues. I can’t post it due to its graphic nature. Couple that with the jihadi flag that appeared to be attached to the back of the truck, and there’s just no excuse for the FBI to have not been more upfront with the public initially.

    Even CNN is acknowledging that the dude had an ISIS flag in the truck. This information was right there available for anyone in the FBI to examine. Had the agent not said it wasn’t a terrorist attack and simply said the situation was developing or some other kind of non-answer, at least people could understand that.

    No, she literally told the entire world it wasn’t terrorism.

    The dude driving a rented truck plows into a crowd, intentionally trying to injure and kill as many people as possible, with an ISIS flag hanging like a gun rack in the back window, and someone in the FBI saw all of that and thought, “I don’t know, it sure doesn’t look like terrorism to me,” and told the media just that? Yeah, I’m not buying it.

    It’s one thing not to tell the media everything you know. On some level, we all understand there are reasons not to do that.

    What you don’t do is lie. You can be wrong, but you need to be wrong about something that people can’t see for themselves. You can be wrong, but not about what’s plain as day for anyone who cares to look and has the view far too many people have.

    As Bonchie notes, this is why trust in the FBI is at an all-time low. I won’t say it’s the only reason, but it’s certainly a big one and as an American taxpayer, we’re all kind of sick of it.

    Adams, currently a global threat advisor with extensive experience in Middle Eastern affairs, responded: “Well, Al-Qaeda says they trained and deployed a thousand for this attack. First off, I think there are more than a thousand Al-Qaeda members in the United States, but for the Homeland Attack, that number is based on what Al-Qaeda is saying, so they could exaggerate it; however, they did have about 1,400 in the Hamas Attack so the number is not off from what they did in the first round of attacks.”

    • There are also suppose to be a large number of Hezbollah people in the US, and back in the Obama years there was suppose to be one or two Hezbollah training camps within 50 miles of the Texas border.

      I don’t remember where the camps were suppose to be so I don’t know how close Eagle Pass Texas (where the rented truck came back into the US a week or so ago) is from the reported camps. A quick computer search shows that in 2023 everyone was denying that any such camps existed, but we all know you can’t trust what the US Government is saying about Islamic Terror groups.
