In a similar vein, Mahyar Tousi, here in the UK is having death threats that are so serious he has had to move home.
Unsurprisingly, the bodies we pay to protect us have told him they can do nothing until something actually happens.
So, what is the point of having law enforcement organisations if they can’t or won’t investigate real threats to a person?

But I want to address your last point.
For me, it is a failure of thinking that the state has the right to tell you if you can have firearms or what you are allowed to say or publish.
In the US, these rights are NOT granted to the people by the state. They are statements limiting the power of government with the rights of the people as enshrined as given, and shall not be infringed.
“The government shall make now law…”
“…shall not be infringed”.
We MUST start thinking that way. One of the reasons we have lost all our rights in the Commonwealth, is we have allowed ourselves ot believe the state has such power. But others, who know how change happens, changed the culture itself and the state, intentionally or not, went along with it cause they have no choice.
If everyone had access to firearms, the state would pretend they gave us that right.
If everyone defended themselves, then stepped up to the plate for each other, the courts would once again declare them as heroes and even punish police who failed in their duties instead of forcing police who want to act, to stand down in the face of crime.
What we have learned since the 1970s in the West, is it is easier to change the culture, than change the government. Everything else follows.
If criminals can acquire arms, why not?
