Just possessing books is now a revolutionary act….some of my best books come from charity shops.
Maybe it’s time to dedicate an hour or two on Sundays to go to used book shops and buy any old ones, ideally from before 1980 and even 1970.
I remember going through my parent’s old college texts from the 40s and they were amazingly truthful and clear even compared to the standards of the 1970s.
