I have read it .I have a Classical Civilization major.
What stood out for me when reading “The Republic” was the exchange on the true nature and definition of justice and how it would manifest in an ideal Republic.
The conclusion was that the true definition of justice was a system that would protect the poor and the powerless citizen from the overweening greed and power and reach of the wealthy and the powerful citizen.
This is a complete misrepresentation.
It calls into question their motives for such misrepresentation is it deliberate and willful or are they merely too ignorant to know any better?
