As Breitbart News reported, French President Emmanuel Macron’s alliance with the New Popular Front delivered a victory over Marine Le Pen’s populist right, which has raised concerns about antisemitism, with many French Jews feeling increasingly uncertain about their place in France. The unexpected shift in political power has sparked fears within the roughly 500,000-strong Jewish community, boosting worries about the potential implications for its safety and rights.

Mind you the exodus of French Jews to Israel has been pretty steady since one young man was baited by a Muslim girl, kidnapped when he accepted her offer, and tortured to death in France some years ago. No idea what happened to his torturers and murderers but way back then a story like that actually made the news, which it probably would not now, unless it served some regime purpose.

3. There is a video at this link which is a 5 minute excerpt of a long interview by Ben Shapiro of Douglas Murray, the entirely of which is below. In the linked excerpt, Murray is asked, “Why do you defend Israel so much, why do you care?” To which he answers that if Israel falls, it means the end of Western Civilization…” and he explains why.
Which might make one think that this could be exactly WHY there is more pressure for the destruction of Israel, than for any other place which has far far less justification for its existence than Israel does as a polity. The Left is currently after the whole ball of dirt and salt water. Any single line of action we see is an effort to achieve that goal.

4. Orbán’s big Hungarian presidency speech blocked by European Parliament
Attempts by Hungarian premier Viktor Orbán to address MEPs at the inaugural plenary sitting of the newly elected assembly in Strasbourg have been rebuffed by parliamentary chiefs unable to find room to accommodate him in the agenda, two sources familiar with the issue have told Euronews.
By long-standing convention, heads of government are given the opportunity to address the Parliament when they take over the rotating presidency of the EU Council, presenting the agenda for their six-month turn at the helm of inter-governmental policy negotiations and answering questions from MEPs.
The sources said Orbán had indicated to the parliament that he could appear before the plenary on Tuesday or Wednesday (16-17 July) next week to present the agenda of the Hungarian presidency, which Budapest has given the slogan ‘Make Europe Great Again’.
However the Conference of the Presidents – the heads of the political groups who determine the agenda – said that the Parliament did not have space in the schedule at that time, both sources agreed.

This has some value. Although I think there is a bias in this video in that she singles out the language of Nixon as manipulative when Obama used more and for more that purpose. But watching this video, or better, listening without looking and not in a semi hypnotic state, there is material we can learn here that may help to recognize the language of the cult of the left.

They shook off much of the socialist/communist dead weight, created the high-tech Startup Nation, brought Olympic-level sports. made Russian the third national language after Hebrew and Arabic. TV and all sorts of Russian media is ubiquitous. There were so many Russian speakers, they formed a substantial political party that remains important.
Pieds-Noirs in France have been preparing, they know Moslems. They’ve made “Boeing Aliya”: some own apartments, and have family that’s already settled. Fewer language problems, more cultural compatibility with Israel’s majority Mizrahi and Sephardic majority.
They’re financially secure, but they’ll have trouble getting their professional licenses accepted. Domestic blocs see them as competitors in medicine and other professions. They already dominate cities like Netanya.

France and Britain are major problems for the Jews because of their new governments. And as you say, that’s a lot of people to absorb.
There is also the issue of the ‘brain drain’. Many of the brightest might be leaving.
The brain drain phenomenon is also occurring in Quebec province where the English language is sidelined. I read that quite a few from McGill University either have left or are or will be in the process of leaving the province. And I don’t blame them.
My first boyfriend left a top tenured position at McGill Med School. I notice his daughter’s byline as a senior editor at the JPost.
