In a stunning exchange today, Canadian ersatz Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau fell back on an older con with which to cast aspersions on the leader of the Opposition, Pierre Poilievre.
A few years ago, a fellow named Jeremy MacKenzie had a comic podcast of a political nature. He mocked the PM and leftist politics in general, and created a farce that made him popular amongst his listeners.
The farce was a fake country for freedom loving people that would extend from Alaska across Canada and the US to Florida or Texas, i don’t remember which. Based on how it would look on a map of Turtle Island North America. they called it, “Diagalon” as it would be a diagonal stripe across the map.
The joke had legs though and soon there was a whole farcical president of Diagolon that was, if memory serves, a crack addicted space goat. MacKenzie and his followers had a lot of fun making up hypothetical but clearly ludicrous symbols for the fake country, the main one being its flag, which was black, with a white diagonal stripe from corner to corner.
McKenzie was arrested and jailed for over a year on other charges, but the suspicion was it was about Diagolon as none of the other charges had any merit and where dropped. Not that Diagolon had any merit in terms of a criminal activity.
There is a lot to this story and there are many and far far better people to read on this whole issue. Probably Jason Lavigne would be the go-to guy here.

Flash forward to today:
The leader of the opposition, Pierre Poilievre, was thrown out of the house of commons for calling Trudeau initially a whacko, then offered to change the adjective to extremist, and the speaker told him to leave. This is after Trudeau attempted to disparage Pierre for association with the “far right wing extremist diagolon” movement. The exchange is below. And frankly, Trudeau’s dialectics are so insane here, one can only start the clock till the party replaces him with Mark Carney. Who is clearly running for the position even though he hasn’t said so yet.
To be clear, McKenzie was shown in court not to be a white supremacist or any of Trudeau’s other typical, and frankly lazy disparagements. If anyone is guilty of attempting to ‘other’ groups of people and diminish their rights and personhood, it would be Justin Trudeau. And repeatedly and provably.

Jeremy reminds us in this video, the the dialectical Jewish operator of the ironically named, “Canadian Anti-Hate Network” actually used Diagalon and association with it. to help Trudeau justify using the emergency measures act to destroy the Freedom Convoy. (A protest which the next PM, Mark Carney is on record saying he wanted to see fully destroyed or words very much to that effect.)
In honour of Trudeau’s attempted heaping of scorn on Poilievre with this meaningless association, we have created a graphic which I hope the MacKenzie crowd will grab and use to make T shirts. Hell if they do I’ll even buy one.
Over the next 24 hours, I will have this post fact checked for some of the details. How long Jeremy was in jail etc. But the broad stroked are right and the videos speak for themselves.
