Reader’s Links for November 6, 2020

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. Turkey ‘neutralizes’ 120 terrorists in October

“Turkey “neutralized” at least 120 terrorists in countrywide operations in October, the country’s Interior Ministry said on Friday.

Turkish authorities often use the word “neutralized” in their statements to imply that the terrorists in question either surrendered or were killed or captured.

In a statement, the ministry said a total of 10,239 operations, including eight large-scale and 43 medium-scale operations, were carried out against terrorists in rural areas.

A total of 1,539 operations were also conducted in metropolitans as part of domestic security operations, it added.

“120 terrorists were neutralized in operations. 92 of the neutralized terrorists were members of the KCK/PKK terrorist group, 24 were DAESH terrorists and four others were far-left terror group members,” the statement said.

In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK — listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the US, and EU — has been responsible for the deaths of 40,000 people, including women, children, and infants.

In 2013, Turkey became one of the first countries to declare Daesh/ISIS a terrorist group.

The country has since been attacked by Daesh/ISIS terrorists multiple times, with at least 10 suicide bombings, seven bomb attacks, and four armed attacks, killing 315 people and injuring hundreds more.

The Interior Ministry said at least 422 of 2,700 arrested suspects were remanded in custody for being in contact, aiding, and abetting terrorist groups.

Security forces also destroyed a total of 96 shelters, caves and hideouts, seized 136 weapons — 79 of them were heavy and long-barreled arms — 50 mines, 350 kilograms (772 pounds) of explosives materials and over 17,500 rounds of various ammunition…”

  3. Terrorism: Italy, France agree to joint border patrols

“Italian Interior Minister Luciana Lamorgese and her French counterpart Gerald Darmanin said after a meeting in Rome on Friday that the two countries’ police forces will take part in joint border patrol brigades as part of the effort to combat terrorism and illegal immigration.

“This project was not created today,” said Lamorgese.

“We have been working on it for some time and it will become operative soon for a six-month trial”.

  4. Nevada GOP Sends Criminal Referral To Barr Alleging Thousands Of Cases Of Voter Fraud

The Nevada Republican Party sent a criminal referral to the Department of Justice on Thursday alleging thousands of examples of voter fraud.

“Our lawyers just sent a criminal referral to AG Barr regarding at least 3,062 instances of voter fraud,” the Nevada Republican Party said in a statement. “We expect that number to grow substantially. Thousands of individuals have been identified who appear to have violated the law by casting ballots after they moved from NV.”

Lawsuit: At least 21,000 dead people registered on Pennsylvania’s voter rolls

The lawsuit says that 92% of the deceased registrants have been dead for over a year

There are at least 21,000 dead people registered on the state of Pennsylvania’s voter rolls, according to a lawsuit filed by a legal group.

A lawsuit filed on Thursday by the Public Interest Legal Foundation claims that there are tens of thousands of deceased registrants on voter rolls in Pennsylvania. The amended lawsuit filed against the Pennsylvania Department of State alleges that Pennsylvania failed to “reasonably maintain voter registration records under federal and state law” during the 2020 presidential election cycle.

The lawsuit alleges that a vast majority are from over a year ago. According to the lawsuit, 92% of the 21,000 deceased people on Pennsylvania’s voter rolls died earlier than October 2019. Thousands of the alleged registered dead people reportedly died over five years ago.

  6. Utah AG Sean Reyes Alleges ‘Compromised’ Election Process, Will Support Trump

Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes announced Friday that he will support lawsuits from President Donald Trump’s legal team to deal with the allegedly “compromised election process” in several battleground states.

Reyes, a Republican, alleged that former Democratic Vice President Joe Biden and his allies know that Trump “will win if only verified legal votes are counted,” repeating a claim from Trump about alleged election fraud. “We are making sure that happens but looks like courts may have to decide that,” he said on Twitter.

Reyes then announced that he took personal leave time to “prepare and support litigation in several” states, without elaborating. It’s not clear what state he would be going to, but the Deseret News reported he is in Nevada, where a Trump team-filed lawsuit is pending.

Trump’s team filed lawsuits in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, and the team announced they would join a lawsuit in Arizona.

  9. AG Barr Just Sent In The Federal Agents – Bill Is Ordering Them To Watch The 2020 Ballot Counting

Republicans and the Trump campaign are closely watching states that appear to be taking a long time finishing the vote count.

Many have worried that the process is being obscured by the campaign. Some even have claimed the fix is in.

Some were outraged as election officials kicked poll watchers out of their rooms—or even boarded-up windows.

So, Attorney General Barr is taking action to make sure all legal votes are counted:

  10. Supreme Court Just Ordered Democrats – Says Pennsylvania Must Respond To Dispute over Ballots

President Trump is unhappy with multiple issues in the Pennsylvania vote count. It appears that the state’s election officials (as well as others) are not being totally open about the process.

The president wants full transparency because, among other issues, some GOP poll watchers aren’t allowed to observe the vote counting going on.

PHILADELPHIA, Penn. — Most Americans might not know the name Ozzie Myers, although a part of his tale was told in the hit 2013 movie “American Hustle” about the FBI sting that sent four congressmen to prison in the 1970s.

If you’re from Philadelphia, though, you know his name, and knew it well before 2013. He’s important to the country now because he’s currently under indictment for bribing a state elections judge to stuff ballots for Democratic candidates. Among the candidates he was paid to get elected are three as-yet-unnamed judges sitting on the Philadelphia Common Pleas Court. That’s where President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign has to go when local election officials refuse to let campaign monitors oversee ballot integrity, as has been the case these past few days throughout Pennsylvania.

In addition, Trump’s U.S. attorney, William McSwain, has hinted that in addition to the three unidentified judges, those Democrats tainted by election-fixing go all the way from local officials to the U.S. Congress.

Why should anyone care about that court? Because it’s playing a major role in the presidential election.

On Tuesday, Philadelphia Common Pleas Court Judge Stella Tsai ruled that the city’s Board of Elections was complying with state laws governing partisan election monitors, contradicting claims from the Trump campaign that GOP monitors were being kept too far away from absentee ballot-counters to observe whether ballots were being properly counted.

  12. Nate Silver Says Fox News and AP Projections For Biden in Arizona ‘Should Be Retracted Now

As the vote continues to tighten in Arizona, FiveThirtyEight’s Nate Silver is calling on outlets which projected Joe Biden to win the state — Fox News and the AP — to retract.

Writing for FiveThirtyEight’s live blog, the famed election forecaster — while noting that Biden could still win Arizona — made clear that he believes projections from news organizations were premature.

“I don’t know, I guess I’d say that Biden will win Arizona if you forced me to pick, but I sure as heck don’t think the state should have been called by anyone, and I think the calls that were previously made should be retracted now,” Silver wrote.

Fox News was the first to call Arizona for Biden, and has repeatedly defended its projection over the past 24 hours.

Arnon Mishkin, the head of the Fox Decision Desk, said Thursday, “we strongly believe that our call will stand, and that’s why we’re not pulling back the call.”

The AP put out a full explainer defending their projection. They believe the remaining votes in Maricopa County, the state’s largest, were not enough for President Donald Trump to overcome his deficit, which currently sits just under 80,000.

  13. Muslims: Al-Aqsa Mosque Does Not Belong to Palestinians

    by Khaled Abu Toameh
    November 6, 2020 at 5:00 am

In the past few years, the Palestinians have regularly condemned Jews for visiting the Temple Mount/Haram Al-Sharif (Noble Sanctuary) in Jerusalem. The Palestinians depict the visits by Jews as “incursions” and claim that the visitors “defile” the Al-Aqsa Mosque when they enter the compound.

The Jewish visitors, however, do not set foot inside the mosque; they only tour the outdoor compound under the protection of the Israeli police. It is also worth mentioning that Palestinians often hurl insults at the Jewish visitors and try to physically assault them.

The Temple Mount is the holiest site in Judaism and the place toward which Jews turn during prayer. Among Sunni Muslims, the Temple Mount is considered the third holiest site in Islam.

The Palestinians are now saying that they are opposed not only to Jews visiting the holy site, but also to Muslims who believe in peace with Israel.

As far as the Palestinians are concerned, a Muslim who believes in Israel’s right to exist is not entitled to enter the Temple Mount or pray at the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Why? In the world of the Palestinians, a Muslim or Arab who makes peace with Israel is a “traitor” who does not deserve to enter the compound. Although the site is sacred to all Muslims, the Palestinians have somehow convinced themselves that the Al-Aqsa Mosque is their private property and that they have the right to prevent other Muslims from praying there.

Unfortunately, it’s not uncommon for workers from central and southern europe to eb abused by such dubious agencies – sometimes they don’t even pay.. If such an agency is turkish, chances of this are high, turks do not have a high opinion of central europeans.
