1. Pubmed: Chloroquine Is a Potent Inhibitor of SARS Coronavirus Infection and Spread

Abstract

Background: Severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) is caused by a newly discovered coronavirus (SARS-CoV). No effective prophylactic or post-exposure therapy is currently available.

Results: We report, however, that chloroquine has strong antiviral effects on SARS-CoV infection of primate cells. These inhibitory effects are observed when the cells are treated with the drug either before or after exposure to the virus, suggesting both prophylactic and therapeutic advantage. In addition to the well-known functions of chloroquine such as elevations of endosomal pH, the drug appears to interfere with terminal glycosylation of the cellular receptor, angiotensin-converting enzyme 2. This may negatively influence the virus-receptor binding and abrogate the infection, with further ramifications by the elevation of vesicular pH, resulting in the inhibition of infection and spread of SARS CoV at clinically admissible concentrations.

Conclusion: Chloroquine is effective in preventing the spread of SARS CoV in cell culture. Favorable inhibition of virus spread was observed when the cells were either treated with chloroquine prior to or after SARS CoV infection. In addition, the indirect immunofluorescence assay described herein represents a simple and rapid method for screening SARS-CoV antiviral compounds.

The president of a pro-migrant association that delivered assistance to the homeless was found murdered at his home in Bretteville-en-Saire, east of Cherbourg-en-Cotentin (Manche), according to Actu.

Migrants, who Dussine was hosting, sounded the alarm when they found the educator’s dead body, according to Ouest France.

 

Since the brutal murder, a young twenty-year-old Afghan migrant, who Dussine had been housing, has been arrested and placed under local police custody.

It has been reported that the migrant in custody cannot speak French.

 

Detectives and criminologists are reportedly at the scene of the crime, processing the former teacher’s home for evidence.

 

According to Valeurs Actuelles, it was reported that Dussine “was sleeping when [the alleged assailant], an Afghan migrant barely 20 years old, attacked him with an iron rod. He could not be revived.”

3. Egypt: ISIS beheads three youths in Sinai, sources

(ANSAmed) – CAIRO, MAY 12 – ISIS terrorists ”have beheaded three youths and kidnapped three others from the tribe of the Terabin, one of Sinai’s largest” local sources said Tuesday.

The heads of the three victims ”were found on the main road”, the sources added, without providing further details but attributing the crime to the so-called Islamic State ‘Daesh’ terror group.

Despite the warnings around taking hydroxychloroquine to combat the symptoms of COVID-19, prescriptions in France have increased by as much as 7,000% in certain parts of the country since the pandemic began.

 

As reported by La Provence, a study looking at the 466 million French prescriptions written since the pandemic began in France, show a huge spike in doctors prescribing the drug. In the last week of March, for instance, over 10,000 people were prescribed hydroxychloroquine in Marseille alone. In France and the U.S., the use of hydroxychloroquine has been fraught between those who think the risks are small enough to warrant widespread use and those who think that more research is required before widespread prescription.

 

Following research conducted in China, a French doctor, Didier Raoult–head of the IHU, the Institute of Infectious Diseases in Marseille–claimed at the beginning of March that he had successfully treated patients suffering from coronavirus with the drug. Hydroxychloroquine is an anti-malarial drug also used to treat people suffering from lupus. It is sold under its trader name of Plaquénil in France.

(Question: Hydroxychloroquine is either a dangerous drug that is as likely to kill you or help you, or taking it is a problem because so many people with other diseases need it and getting it will shorten the supply of this extremely common medicine which costs ten cents a pill and has been around for a hundred years. Which is it. Because it cannot be both.)

The name of the Saudi diplomat in question – one Mussad Ahmed al-Jarrah, a mid-level foreign ministry official tasked with overseeing employees at US-based Saudi-funded mosques and Islamic centers, was redacted throughout the document in all but one instance.

(One guess for this might be that as 911 conspiracy theories claiming the nascent Bush admin was responsible somehow for this grows, the FBI felt it was time to let the public know some of the back-story of the Al-Qaeda attack on 911 and that yeah, it was a Saudi op. At least in part)

12. Kayleigh McEnany Snaps At Democrats Over ‘Funny’ Coronavirus Numbers

(Oh those whacky Democrats! Is there anything they won’t do! Tune in again later to see the latest zany antics of these crazy characters as they lie, cheat, make false accusations, and arrange for people to die so they can blame it on their political rivals!)

White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany ripped Democrats during a press briefing Tuesday, claiming they’ve been spreading disinformation about the coronavirus.

 

McEnany specifically called out Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who she claimed “erroneously” cited false numbers when discussing coronavirus cases in the U.S.

 

“I talk to Dr. Birx regularly. In fact, I talked to her just before I came out here because I had some questions about some funny numbers I heard from Senator Elizabeth Warren,” McEnany said. “I think it’s unfair to the American people to give inflated case numbers and mortality numbers, because it leads to those same Americans making the decision to not get a mammogram, to not have the cancer screenings they need.”

Also this comment about China’s abuse of Australian citizenship is worth the read. We know for a fact it happened also in Canada but with government assistance. My local pharmacy has no thermometers and has not been able to get a single thermometer for OVER A MONTH. Before that its been scarce since the start of this Wuhan Flu, because the Trudeau government bought up all medical supplies they could and shipped it to China. That has been so well reported on this site, I won’t bother to look back for the links. A google search should turn up a lot of MSM on that fact. To get a thermometer, you have to order one FROM CHINA. Even if its via Amazon, its still from the place that stripped our own shelves bare, and frankly, one has less and less faith that anything you get that is made in China is any good. Certainly we have seen over and over again that Chinese Covid tests are EIGHTY PERCENT ERROR rate.

Its almost like they planned this thing. Make the virus. Release the virus. Send infected people around the world while stopping all travel from Wuhan to the rest of China, secretly buy up medical supplies from Canada, Australia and other locations, but we have the proof on Canada and Oz. (and again, Trudeau government assisted in the secret buy out for China) and force the West to buy crappy medical supplies from China.

Almost like its planned. Almost.

I still hit the internet every day looking for information on hydroxychloroquine and I can assure you that if you didn’t know any better you would assume that the fight is over and that hydroxychloroquine is not only useless against the COVID-19 virus but has been proven to actually make patients worse and more often dead. And the only reason that anybody every took hydroxy in the first place is that Donald Trump lied again to his hillbilly trailer-park uneducated White-trash followers and swore it was a certain and guaranteed cure for the virus despite having no reason whatsoever for thinking any such thing. That’s what Google is offering – to this day. This stuff about people ordering it in France will simply not reach the internet surfer, only the negative and the VA test and the lack of extensive double-blind placebo testing which will take years and probably be faked by Democrat researchers. I saw a complete segment on the successes of Turkey’s approach to the virus from some MSM outlet and the word “hydroxychloroquine” did not appear once in the entire presentation. It was all social isolating and quarantining and tracing and “medication” – no hydroxy even though it is the backbone of their approach…

    These evil Democrat bastards have probably killed tens-of-thousands of people with their Jihad against hydroxychloroquine. I pray that they pay for their crimes one day. They are true criminals and murderers… Murderers!

    • In Oklahoma they can give it to people on life support via an injection into the vein, they are forbidden to use it on any wuhan flu victim that isn’t yet on life support.

              • And finally, the hydroxychloroquine story is starting to break with an article in Forbes after so many millions of boxes of the drug have been ordered by doctors all over the world that it just can’t be completely covered up anymore. Will we ever see CNN say, “Gosh…it looks like we were wrong about hydroxychloroquine and if only we had listened to our President thousands of lives would have been saved and he would have sailed through the election like a dream. We are very sorry for lying and cheating so much?” -CNN.

                And Dr. Faucin is obviously a never-Trumper so why has he been put in charge of the pandemic? I can’t believe how many betraying dick-wads Trump has had run through his operation. They’re all a bunch of Omarosas…

              • So far so good, the medicine they have her on seems to be helping, her husband has no symptoms and is doing all he can to help but that isn’t much. What we are all praying for is for her to have a very mild form and for him to to get the bug. She says that the male dog spends a lot of time with his head on her knee and making whines of sympathy. The female dog doesn’t see why “Mom” isn’t going outside as much as she use to. I’ll give you updates as I get more news.

                Right now she is upset with me because I am saving a bunch of my stimulus check in case they need help. I bought a new computer and now she is pushing me to get more things for myself instead of saving for them.

        • Sometimes I paste the link to the video, which resolves into an embedded video, then when I hit publish its just gone. no link no nothing. I found one of them and put it back and it should be there now.

          The first one, shopping, was clearly a too-clever title and only makes sense with the vdieo, so i have no idea what it was yet.

    I hope nobody out there thinks that a Jihadi beheading is a matter of, “Swish…plop…” It’s all over, sort of like Madame Guillotine. ‘Cause it ain’t that. The Muslim beheading is the cruelest most terrifying, painful way you can kill somebody and anybody who does it should be tried as a war criminal and hanged. The media has gone a long way over the years to “protect” us from that information but the truth is that Islamic beheadings are a full-blown crime against humanity… Their screams sound somewhere between an injured dog and a big screaming baby and you can hear the blood gurgling through the hole in their neck. It’s up there with breaking on the wheel and crucifixion…

    Why the heck shouldn’t I hate the religion of Islam?
