President Trump just tweeted out this remark:
A very good point. There are dozens of amateur blogs that had it right all along about Russia and so on, and will never be recognized let alone win an award. But fake news gets a Pulitzer if it has the right, wrong message.
President Trump’s tweet reminded me of a superb segment of a Marc Levine show with Lara Logan that just had to be restored for this occasion. This interview is from April 7, 2019.
Walter Duranty received a Pulitzer Prize for reporting fake news (lies about how great things were in Stalinist Russia) and even after the facts were known he was lauded as a great journalist. This is just one example of the way the leftist control of the News Media covers for the crimes of the left. Duranty was in the early days before the left had a monopoly on reporting the news but is a good example. For most of my life the leftist monopoly controlled what we knew about the crimes of the politicians and then FOX came along and telling the news that the left suppressed and people were expose the fact that around half the nation didn’t think the way the Propaganda Media has been reporting. The Conservatives and Libertarians discovered that their numbers were much greater then people thought. This lose of power drive the left crazy then the internet came into being and the citizen journalists started competing with the big boys. They could start a small website and have their content reach everyone in the Free World with a computer. The left in full panic mode starts attacking their smaller rivals.
Now we are seeing how the corrupt Dems and they sycophant lap dogs in the Propaganda are destroying good patriotic people who have spent their entire lives serving and protecting the United States so the Dems can remain in control. We are seeing the lies and crimes of the left exposed to the light. Think about how history would have been different if the net had existed during the Clinton years and all of their scandals. Think about how things are going to be with FOX, OANN, and the bloggers spreading the facts about all of the high ranking Dems and Bureaucrats that are indicted in the coup against Donald Trump. Think about how (if they are smart) the reporters both professional and citizen will be pushing the point that the Dem Coup was an attempt to reverse the 2016 election and how the Dems are trying to ensure that the 2020 election will not reflect the will o f the people but will instead reflect the desires of a small group of Democrats.
