  1. Does Canada have any military posts close to Montreal and would Trudeau spend money on new equipment?

      • They are moving a full unit not the individual tanks like the previous video showed. If there are no military posts close to there they seem to be headed that rules out a routine transfer of units to a new area where they don’t know the terrain of the training area. Not knowing more about the internal tensions in Canada I don’t want to make any more guesses.

    • I thought all of the Canadian troops in the Middle East were special Ops types, that and aviation units. those were heavy armor. I don’t think the allies have any heavy armor deployed to the Middle East. Heavy armor are open country weapons, they are of limited (very limited) use in mountain terrain, they are of more use in street fighting but only if you don’t care what damage you do to the buildings. The tanks that are in the videos from Casablanca are Urban Assault Vehicles, they use tires instead of treads so you don’t tear up the streets which in turn is very hard on the treads. That type of armored vehicle normally has some type of medium cannon (50 to 75 mm) with machine guns that can fire forward. They also are designed to carry infantry which can fire for firing ports on the side of the vehicle.
