(This article is short and good and worth the read. But I disagree on a fine point with Anthony Hopkins. The issue is not or rarely ever if the person is stupid, actor or not. It has to do with expertise. Although he does touch on this, and Mr. Hopkins clearly does get it, to be an actor, and a good actor likely takes a great deal of one’s life’s effort. To be great at the craft of persuasion means there is an awful lot that person does not do to free up the time to hone that craft. As a consequence, you end up with someone powerfully persuasive but has no actual knowledge about much else.
This is why leftists are so determined to use actors of courses, and any other kind of artist that has a platform that can be hijacked to the agenda of the agent. Same applies to musicians of course. Great ones spend their lives developing that skill.
If you had a great surgeon, it might be reasonable to ask him for golf tips depending on what his actual scores are, but I would be reluctant to depend on him for information that requires a decade of study that he did not do. Conversely, I would not ask a politician for medical advice, or a musician for it. I would ask a doctor or maybe two or three.)

(While leftists like this enjoy seeming total immunity from equal dispensation of the law, what is the likely long term cost to leftists for this brief elite privilege? One cannot help but wonder what a people will do when they finally realize that there simply is no protection of the law for the law abiding and the productive and the freedom and individual minded. One might suspect the cost to the spoiled and entitled left could be quite high indeed)
