My twitter account was just shut down, without notice. I doubt Twitter found offensive content. I don’t post offensive stuff. I’ve very really carefully.
What I think happened: Everything was fine up to the moment I tweeted to Canadian Armed Forces the short clip of US soldiers overtaking cocaine-carrying submarine. I mentioned had Canadian soldiers been caught speaking such language, they would have been disciplined. I added Real Soldiers at work.
That was it. Over. Two minutes later, no more Twitter account. It’s pretty obvious the Canadian Forces are involved in deleting my account, possibly without going through Twitter.
Very scary. It happened in an eyeblink, a few minutes later. And no notice from Twitter. That’s the worrisome part.
JUST FOUND OUT: Twitter was on temporary shutdown. Some kind of glitch, they say. My account is fine. I was really worried.
I was delighted! I was hoping someone shut those bastards down.
I think they were trying to scare people, the problem is this display of power has made more people mad at them.
