BREITBART – AUSTRIA – Drug Dealer Offered 100k Euros to Assassinate Former Populist Leader Strache
A drug dealer allegedly offered a man 100,000 euros to plant a bomb in the car of former Austrian Vice Chancellor Heinz-Christian Strache, according to a report.
The planned terror attack on the former populist Freedom Party (FPÖ) leader was set to take place while Mr Strache was still serving as vice chancellor, according to leaked court information reported by Austrian newspaper Kurier.
The alleged plotter was named as Bujar B., according to the newspaper which alleges the drug dealer had previously been arrested for illegal possession of a handgun and drug-related charges.
The person who Buljar B. spoke to about the assassination plot was actually an intelligence liaison, known in Austria as a ‘V-Mann’, with documents from the Vienna prosecutor’s office showing the suspect offering a sum of 100,000 euros to the liaison to plant a bomb in Strache’s car.
According to the liaison, the suspect is said to have had intimate knowledge of a number of details including where Strache and his family parked their cars.
Thomas Vecsey of the public prosecutor’s office in Vienna confirmed other reports that Buljar B. had been released following a house search around the end of April or the start of May and was currently free.
Johann Pauer, the lawyer for Mr Strache, commented on the case saying: “My client did not learn until April 4th of an apparently commissioned assassination attempt. Upon request to the competent authorities, he was informed that this circumstance should not be taken seriously.”
“Therefore, he is all the more surprised now to gain knowledge of the existence of a preliminary investigation. Neither my client nor I have been aware of the investigation so far and therefore have no knowledge of the current situation,” he added.
The lawyer for Buljar B., meanwhile, rejected the allegations saying: “The allegations against my client are completely absurd and come out of thin air.” He added that his client had never had a problem with Strache.
The case comes just over a month since Strache was forced to resign as vice chancellor and as leader of the FPÖ due to the Ibiza scandal in which he and former Vienna deputy mayor Johann Gudenus were secretly filmed in a villa in Ibiza in 2017.
The pair were recorded speaking to a woman they thought was the niece of a Russian oligarch about trading government contracts for election support after the woman expressed interest in buying Austria’s largest newspaper, Kronen Zeitung.
The identity of the woman turned out to be fake and the subsequent scandal brought down the populist-conservative coalition in May with Chancellor Sebastian Kurz receiving a vote of no confidence from the Austrian parliament, ending his brief term as chancellor.

PARIS (Reuters) – In a world first, Facebook has agreed to hand over the identification data of French users suspected of hate speech on its platform to judges, France’s minister for digital affairs Cedric O said on Tuesday.
O, whose father is South Korean, is one of French President Emmanuel Macron’s earliest followers, and has been influential in shaping the president’s thinking on Big Tech as an advisor at the Elysee palace in the first two years of Macron’s presidency.
The decision by the world’s biggest social media network comes after successive meetings between Zuckerberg and Macron, who wants to take a leading role globally on the regulation of hate speech and the spread of false information online.
So far, Facebook has cooperated with French justice on matters related to terrorist attacks and violent acts by transferring the IP addresses and other identification data of suspected individuals to French judges who formally demanded it.
Following a meeting between Nick Clegg, Facebook’s head of global affairs, and O last week, the social media company has extended this cooperation to hate speech.
“This is huge news, it means that the judicial process will be able to run normally,” O told Reuters in an interview. “It’s really very important, they’re only doing it for France.”
O, who said he had been in close contact with Clegg over the last few days on the issue, said Facebook’s decision was the result of an ongoing conversation between the internet giant and the French administration.
Since his nomination as minister in March, O has made the fight against hate speech online a key priority through regular contacts with Facebook’s top executives, including founder Mark Zuckerberg.
Facebook declined to comment.
STRONG SIGNAL
“It is a strong signal in terms of regulation,” said Sonia Cisse, a counsel at law firm Linklaters, adding that it was a world first. “Hate speech is no longer considered part of freedom of speech, it’s now on the same level as terrorism.”
With Facebook’s latest move, France is now a clear frontrunner in the quest to regulate big social media outlets, and other platforms might follow suite, Cisse said.
The discussions on how to best regulate tech giants began with a Zuckerberg-Macron meeting last year, followed by a report on tech regulation last month that Facebook’s founder considered could be a blueprint for wider EU regulation.
Facebook had refrained from handing over identification data of people suspected of hate speech because it was not compelled to do so under U.S.-French legal conventions and because it was worried countries without an independent judiciary could abuse it.
France’s parliament, where Macron’s ruling party has a comfortable majority, is debating legislation that would give the new regulator the power to fine tech companies up to 4% of their global revenue if they don’t do enough to remove hateful content from their network.
O also signaled his openness to seeing French startups being snapped up by larger U.S. companies, in a spite of recent measures taken by Macron’s government to bolster anti-takeover rules to protect the country’s strategic companies.
“My only goal is to spur the creation of a lot of companies,” he said. “I have no problem with the fact that some of them are bought by U.S. companies, as long as they don’t have critical technology.”
TOO BIG
The minister is also reluctant to support the idea of breaking up companies like Facebook or Google, whose size, weight on the Internet and financial firepower have turned them into systemic players just as much as big banks.
Facebook has been called a social media monopoly by co-founder Chris Hughes, and calls for a break-up of the group have intensified.
“We cannot impose very tough obligations on Western companies and dismantle them because they are very big, and not do the same thing with Chinese companies that enter the Western market,” he said, referring to groups like Alibaba and Tencent.
A graduate of France’s top business school, HEC, O combines political experience – he was an aide to Dominique Strauss-Khan, like many of the tight group of “Macron Boys” who propelled him to power – and a stint in the private sector, at engine maker Safran.
At the Elysee, he was in charge of advising Macron on the French government’s vast portfolio of stakes in French companies, having to deal with hot corporate sagas such as Renault-Nissan, as well as handling relations with Big Tech.

Explosives Sent to Paris in Iranian Diplomatic Packages
The explosives for a planned attack on an Iranian opposition group convention outside Paris were brought into the country in Iranian diplomatic packages sent on a civilian airliner.
This shocking new detail was revealed by an intelligence source quoted by Independent in Arabic, a British newspaper.
The attack, which was thwarted by European officials, was in motion and set to happen at the annual massive gathering of Iranian opposition supporters, a group in exile which seeks to end Shi’ite Muslim clerical rule in Iran.
The rally took place in June 2018 and was attended by thousands including President Trump’s National Security Adviser John Bolton and former lawyer Rudy Giuliani as well as several former European and Arab ministers.
The intelligence sourced reported that diplomatic packages with half a ton of TATP explosives were check in on June 22, 2018 on a civilian Airbus plane from Tehran to Austria carrying 240 passengers.
French authorities foiled the plot, after arresting a Belgian couple of Iranian origin that was transporting the explosives to Paris.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The Iranian regime’s worst fear is a foreign invasion. In order to bring the mullahs to the negotiating table, the US should eliminate the regime’s proxies in Iran’s Iraqi and Syrian “near-abroad” and bring that threat into full relief.
President Donald Trump’s controversial decision not to launch a military strike against Iran has stirred up debate in America and beyond. The author makes a good point: Like Russia, Persia has always worried about its “near abroad”. What looks like a quest for empire from the outside is perceived/justified as self-defense at home.
It’s a distinction few Americans understand. Russians always feel surrounded by enemies. They’re anxious to “thicken” their margins, overreact when they sense encroachment.

Just one day before the top 20 Democratic candidates will face one another at the first presidential debates, hundreds of supporters for President Donald Trump chanted in unison, echoing Trump’s State of the Union Address this year: “America will never be a socialist country.”
Leading the chant was Vice President Mike Pence, who was at the DoubleTree by Hilton Miami Airport Hotel on Tuesday to help launch Latinos for Trump, a coalition devoted to mobilizing the Latino community in support of re-electing President Donald Trump.
Using anti-socialist language to characterize the Democratic Party and appeal to the Latinos who packed the room, Pence predicted that at the debates Wednesday and Thursday nights, the opposing side will “advocate more taxes, more regulations, something called ‘Medicare for All’ and the Green New Deal.”
He also made several references to a number of South American countries that have been oppressed by socialist governments, most recently Venezuela.
“Latin Americans know better than most about the cost of socialism,” Pence said to cheers. “It’s impoverished generations and stolen the liberty of millions … It’s remarkable to think about what the other side is trying to offer Americans. ”
While the speech largely focused on denouncing socialism, it also touched on other common talking points like securing the United States-Mexico border, calling out the mainstream media, protecting Americans’ Second Amendment rights and denouncing late-term abortions.

As everyone knows by now, we were quarantined without warning for some users that were upset about the Oregon Governor sending cops to round up Republican lawmakers to come back to vote on bills before their state chambers. The Liberal government has added two international neo-Nazi groups to Canada’s list of outlawed terrorist organizations — part of a series of new measures to combat online hate.
Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale announced today that Blood & Honour and its “armed branch,” Combat 18 — which have a presence in Canada and have carried out murders and bombings outside the country — are the first far-right extremism groups to be included on Canada’s terror list.
“Small toxic segments of society continue to peddle vile, hateful intolerance,” he said at a news conference in Regina.
“We need to be alert to it in all its forms, and work relentlessly to confront it and stop it and prevent it from extracting the horrific toll that we’ve witnessed recently.”
Three other groups linked to the Iranian regime — Al-Ashtar Brigades (AAB), Fatemiyoun Division (FD) and Harakat al-Sabireen (HaS) — also have been added to the list.
Goodale also announced $1 million in funding for a United Nations initiative called Tech Against Terrorism, which helps the global information technology industry tackle terrorist exploitation of its tech and supports smaller companies in protecting their users and reputations.
Canada also will host a youth summit this summer to discuss countering online hate, Goodale said.
Violent attacks
According to the government’s website, Blood & Honour is an international neo-Nazi network whose ideology is derived from the National Socialist doctrine of Nazi Germany; it was founded in the U.K. in 1987. The organization and its armed wing, Combat 18, have spread across Europe and North America.
In January 2012, four Blood & Honour members in Tampa, Florida, were convicted of the 1998 murder of two homeless men — killed because the group considered them “inferior.” In February 2012, members of the group firebombed a building in the Czech Republic occupied mostly by Romani families, including children.
Asked why it took so long for the groups to be added to the list, Goodale said it’s not a decision the government makes lightly because there are significant financial and criminal implications. Groups on the list could have their assets frozen and could be subjected to Criminal Code sanctions.
“It will help to facilitate the laying of terrorism charges against perpetrators and supporters of terrorism. It will also help block the financial resources to terrorist groups when such groups use Canada’s financial system,” Goodale said.
Other groups on the list include al Qaida, ISIS and Boko Haram.
White supremacism on the rise
Earlier this year, the head of Canada’s spy agency said the service is “more and more preoccupied” with the threat of violent right-wing extremism and white supremacists.
Canadian Security Intelligence Service Director David Vigneault told a Senate committee in April that his agency is troubled by the number of ultra right-wing extremists active in Canada, citing the 2017 firearm attack on a Quebec City mosque and a 2018 vehicle-ramming attack in Toronto.
Jessica Davis, a former CSIS analyst who is now president of Insight Threat Intelligence, said adding the groups to the terror list will make it easier for Canadian authorities to prosecute and seize financial resources — but the overall impact might not be that significant.
“It is quite a bit more symbolic than it is practical in terms of a counter-terrorism measure,” she said.
“At the same time, it sends a very important message to anyone in Canada, particularly on the far-right extremism side of things, that this form of violence and extremism is not acceptable in Canada and will be treated like terrorism, which means more resources, more counter-terrorism assets can be applied to it than the more traditional criminal space.”

Deranged Democrat Julian Castro then took the insanity to the next level and said, with a straight face, that men also have abortion rights.
“I believe in reproductive justice,” Former HUD Secretary Julian Castro said.
“Let’s just say that a woman, or let’s not forget, someone in the trans community — a trans-female, uh, is poor, doesn’t mean that they shouldn’t have the right to cover an abortion,” Castro said.
A “trans-female” is a biological male. This is your modern day Democrat party. Pathetic.
