Daily Links Post graphic

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. Asylum seeker stabbed 11-year-old son of his refugee aide — “It’s not allowed for a woman to see a Muslim naked, that has to be punished with death”.+++
The refugee was aided by the victim’s family after his getaway. The African stabbed the then 11-year-old boy, the son of his refugee aide, with a bread knife and almost killed him. The tabloid Bild reports that the trial for attempted murder began on Wednesday at the Passau Regional Court (Bavaria). The incident occurred on 25th of July 2018.
Abdulrahman M from Eritrea is an asylum seeker and lives with other refugees in an apartment building in Vilshofen. Tina K (34 years old) lives with her husband and two sons in the same house and cares for the refugees. According to the prosecution, M. ambushed Paul, then eleven years old, at his parents’ apartment while his mother was shopping with the other refugees. He asked the boy about his mother, then forced him into the living room. “There he pushed him to the floor and stabbed him with the knife hidden in his pants,” said the prosecutor. M. (26 y/o) is said to have yelled “Die, die”. Among other injuries, the boy suffered a 15-centimeter-long laceration over his larynx. The boy reacts to the knife attack fearlessly and defends himself against it. The family dog, a terrier hybrid, saves his life – he bites the attacker – Paul can free himself and runs out of the house. M. pursues him, only flees when the blood-stained boy manages to stop a car. M. did not comment on the crime during the trial, instead talks about a nude video he recorded himself and which Paul’s mother saw. “It is not allowed for a woman to see a Muslim naked, that has to be punished with death.”

    • Post 1973 every qualified psychologist, in order to get their title, is either a hypocrite or much more likely, unsane.

“In 1973, the American Psychiatric Association (APA) asked all members attending its convention to vote on whether they believed homosexuality to be a mental disorder. 5,854 psychiatrists voted to remove homosexuality from the DSM, and 3,810 to retain it.”

      A vote.

Likewise, in the true spirit of Collectivism, a vote is in order to make the muhammadan sane again.

“Today, the standard of psychotherapy in the U.S. and Europe is gay affirmative psychotherapy, which encourages gay people to accept their transgender sexual orientation.”

      • This is the problem with psychiatry ,the “practitioner” must be just as crazy as you are in order to understand your problem, and if he is,what right has he to declare you crazy. No psychiatrist has ever cured any-one.

      • Psychiatry has always been the home of losers in the west who only make that choice when they have exhausted all other specialty options by “competence” or social “peer adequacy” failures. Far too many have problems themselves. However, when you do find a good one she/he is often very good as the failure to be a sycophant( a required trait to progress in specialties) can indicate a strong independent mind not constrained by expected norms and these are the ones who do work miracles.

        • Psychiatry has its value. And has helped many people who could not function without medication.

There are chemical imbalances in the brain that do require drug therapy. Severe depression or for drug abusers who may need assistance for subsequent paranoias, or dementia-induced hallucinations and the like.

The people to go to, beyond talking-therapies.

It is good to know that they are there.

But whenever there the unsanity induced by Nazism, Communism and/or Transgenderism it means that they will, in any of these hysterical time-periods, chemically castrate the other with a sense of righteousness and virtue. Used to correct thoughts.

And like the police post 1973, today is a time to be very wary of the college-trained monkey. You have to hunt for a sane person.

Welcome to consensus science. I’ve been shrieking about it for years.

From Michael Crichton’s: “Aliens Cause Global Warming”

I want to pause here and talk about this notion of consensus, and the rise of what has been called consensus science. I regard consensus science as an extremely pernicious development that ought to be stopped cold in its tracks. Historically, the claim of consensus has been the first refuge of scoundrels; it is a way to avoid debate by claiming that the matter is already settled. Whenever you hear the consensus of scientists agrees on something or other, reach for your wallet, because you’re being had.

Let’s be clear: the work of science has nothing whatever to do with consensus. Consensus is the business of politics. Science, on the contrary, requires only one investigator who happens to be right, which means that he or she has results that are verifiable by reference to the real world.

In science consensus is irrelevant. What is relevant is reproducible results. The greatest scientists in history are great precisely because they broke with the consensus. There is no such thing as consensus science. If it’s consensus, it isn’t science. If it’s science, it isn’t consensus. Period.

In addition, let me remind you that the track record of the consensus is nothing to be proud of. Let’s review a few cases.

In past centuries, the greatest killer of women was fever following childbirth. One woman in six died of this fever.

In 1795, Alexander Gordon of Aberdeen suggested that the fevers were infectious processes, and he was able to cure them. The consensus said no.

In 1843, Oliver Wendell Holmes claimed puerperal fever was contagious, and presented compelling evidence. The consensus said no.

In 1849, Semmelweiss demonstrated that sanitary techniques virtually eliminated puerperal fever in hospitals under his management. The consensus said he was a Jew, ignored him, and dismissed him from his post. There was in fact no agreement on puerperal fever until the start of the twentieth century. Thus the consensus took one hundred and twenty five years to arrive at the right conclusion despite the efforts of the prominent “skeptics” around the world, skeptics who were demeaned and ignored. And despite the constant ongoing deaths of women.

There is no shortage of other examples. In the 1920s in America, tens of thousands of people, mostly poor, were dying of a disease called pellagra. The consensus of scientists said it was infectious, and what was necessary was to find the “pellagra germ.” The US government asked a brilliant young investigator, Dr. Joseph Goldberger, to find the cause. Goldberger concluded that diet was the crucial factor. The consensus remained wedded to the germ theory.

Goldberger demonstrated that he could induce the disease through diet. He demonstrated that the disease was not infectious by injecting the blood of a pellagra patient into himself, and his assistant. They and other volunteers swabbed their noses with swabs from pellagra patients, and swallowed capsules containing scabs from pellagra rashes in what were called “Goldberger’s filth parties.” Nobody contracted pellagra.

The consensus continued to disagree with him. There was, in addition, a social factor-southern States disliked the idea of poor diet as the cause, because it meant that social reform was required. They continued to deny it until the 1920s. Result-despite a twentieth century epidemic, the consensus took years to see the light.

Probably every schoolchild notices that South America and Africa seem to fit together rather snugly, and Alfred Wegener proposed, in 1912, that the continents had in fact drifted apart. The consensus sneered at continental drift for fifty years. The theory was most vigorously denied by the great names of geology-until 1961, when it began to seem as if the sea floors were spreading. The result: it took the consensus fifty years to acknowledge what any schoolchild sees.

And shall we go on? The examples can be multiplied endlessly. Jenner and smallpox, Pasteur and germ theory. Saccharine, margarine, repressed memory, fiber and colon cancer, hormone replacement therapy. The list of consensus errors goes on and on.

Finally, I would remind you to notice where the claim of consensus is invoked. Consensus is invoked only in situations where the science is not solid enough.

Nobody says the consensus of scientists agrees that E=mc2. Nobody says the consensus is that the sun is 93 million miles away. It would never occur to anyone to speak that way.

NR: These words were spoken over five years ago and have only become more meaningful with the passage of time.

Totally OT but they seem to think that life is about reproduction and consuming. It is not . It is about the ability of an organism to adapt to a changing environments, survive and then to reproduce descendants who are more fit than it was. By removing the excess “garbage” (called “parachute genes”) they have doomed this creature as there is now no room to manoeuvre genetically. Yes, I know. Maybe that is their unspoken aim. IMO much of the “useless” DNA in humans is a mixture of said “parachute genes” plus the developmental plans required to build such a creature from the germ cell. Was it Socrates who said, whilst looking at a pile of bricks, that the only difference between an out house and a mansion, was the plans involved? DNA is merely the bricks and they have built an outhouse.

  6. Recent US Concern Over Iran Caused by Pics of Missiles in Persian Gulf – Reports (sputniknews, May 16, 2019)
    https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/201905161075045575-usa-concern-iran-missiles-photograph/

“Photographs of Iranian missiles on small boats in the Persian Gulf reportedly became a cause for the recent escalation of warnings among White House officials.

Overhead imagery showed fully assembled missiles, stoking fears that the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps would fire them at US naval ships, officials familiar with the matter told the New York Times.

Three officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk about the issue publicly, said that the intelligence presented a different kind of threat that had been previously seen from Iran. However, officials said that while President Trump’s hard-line national security adviser John R. Bolton and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo see these photographs as a justification for viewing Iran as a threat, other parties, including the Europeans, Iraqis, members of both parties in Congress and some senior officials within the Trump administration, suggested that the move to put missiles on ships represents a defensive action against what Tehran believes are provocative acts by Washington.

The State Department on Wednesday ordered a partial evacuation of the United States Embassy in Baghdad and a consulate in Iraqi Kurdistan, a move that one senior American official said was an overreaction to the intelligence.

Intelligence officials declassified a photograph of one of the small boats, called dhows, carrying what was described as a functional Iranian missile after Bolton announced that the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln would sail to the Gulf sooner than expected.

The Pentagon, however, has not released the photograph as, according to two American officials, it was not compelling enough to convince the American public and lawmakers, or foreign allies, of the new Iranian threat. The other photographs, which remain classified, show the Revolutionary Guards loading missiles onto the boats at several Iranian ports, the two American officials claimed…”

  7. France Has Not Beefed Up Patrols in Persian Gulf Amid Iran Tensions – Army Chief (sputniknews, May 16, 2019)
    https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/201905161075050427-france-persian-gulf/

“Four ships, including two Saudi oil tankers, were targeted off the United Arab Emirates, said the two countries on Sunday and Monday, without further details on the circumstances or suspected perpetrators. The Saudis have denounced an attempt to jeopardise the security of global oil deliveries.

A spokesperson for the current Chief of Staff of the French Army has said that Paris has not increased surveillance in the Persian Gulf as far as he is aware.

The spokesman, Colonel Patrick Steiger, said at a press conference at the Ministry of Defence that no conclusion had been reached about the alleged sabotage operations against Saudi and Emirati ships in the Gulf.

According to Steiger, French experts are currently involved in an investigation into the alleged operations.

The statement comes as photos of Iranian missiles on small boats in the Persian Gulf emerged stoking concerns that the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps would fire them at US naval ships.

Earlier today The New York Times quoted three White House officials as saying the overhead images showing fully assembled missiles had prompted Washington to ramp up its rhetoric against Tehran.”

  8. Survey Shows Half of Danes Dread Muslim In-Laws (sputniknews, May 16, 2019)
    https://sputniknews.com/europe/201905161075049935-denmark-muslim-relatives/

“A whole 47 percent of Danes would react negatively if their daughter were to marry a non-Western immigrant with a Muslim background, a recent poll has found. By contrast, only 10 percent would have a favourable opinion of such new relatives.

A survey by pollster YouGov made on behalf of the Christian newspaper Kristeligt Dagblad, has indicated that Muslim or non-Western in-laws aren’t Danes sweetest dream.

Some 47 percent of respondents admitted that they would react negatively or very negatively if their daughter were to marry a Muslim man. Similarly, 38 percent would have the same attitude to a Muslim daughter-in-law. By contrast, only 10 percent said they would have a favourable opinion of non-Western or Muslim in-laws.

“This is not necessarily a token of hatred for the others. It may as well be a concern about whether one’s child is becoming different, shifting religion, or getting cultural features that are not part of the family. And then again, what happens when the families get together?” writer Kristina Aamand, herself a child of a Danish mother and a Palestinian father, told Kristeligt Dagblad, stressing the potential differences between two cultures.

Copenhagen priest Flemming Pless admitted that during his time as a clergyman he has encountered multiple problems in multicultural marriages.

“Rationally, I can well understand that the parents are a little uneasy about where the child is now heading. For example, if they think the couple will return to another country”, Pless explained. However, he also added that prefabricated opinions are often dispelled when people get to know each other closer.

According to Jens Peter Frølund Thomsen, an associate professor of political science at Aarhus University, marriage is a classic indicator of integration between various population groups.

“The development among immigrant groups in all Western countries is slow. Afghans marry Afghans, Turks marry Turks, because the choice of spouse is a way of maintaining the minority and preserving its distinctness”, Thomsen said. According to him, it takes multiple generations before the pattern is broken and people start marrying outside of their minority.

Thomsen stressed immigrants living separately from the majority population is far from an exclusively Danish phenomenon and is seen in the US and across Europe.

As of 2019, close to 800,000 of Denmark’s population of 5.8 million (over 13%) were immigrants and their descendants. Of them, 500,000 were non-Western immigrants, Statistics Denmark reported.

Denmark’s Muslim population slightly exceeded 300,000 as of 2018, yet has been increasing steadily in the past decades due to immigration.”

    • According to him, it takes multiple generations before the pattern is broken and people start marrying outside of their minority.

Too fucking bad we don’t have the luxury of waiting around for “multiple generations” to see if these retarded, stabby, inbred, rabbiting, cretins finally decide to stop behaving like demonic filth.

  10. EU ON THE BRINK: Majority of voters believe Brussels will COLLAPSE as countries go to war (express, May 16, 2019)
    https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/1127904/EU-news-European-election-latest-update-European-Union-poll-war

“MORE than half of Europeans believe the European Union will implode within 20 years, a shock poll today revealed.

EU disintegration is a “realistic possibility” in the next 10 to 20 years, according to a majority of voters. European voters even fear that a war could break out between EU member states in the coming decades. The shock declaration follows the release of internal European Parliament research that claimed support for the EU was recorded at record highs.

According to the survey, commissioned by the European Council on Foreign Relations think tank, voters in France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Austria, Slovakia, Romania, Poland, Greece, The Netherlands and the Czech Republic believe next week’s European elections could be the last.

The research, conducted by YouGov, with 46,000 interviews across 14 countries, which make up 80 percent of European Parliament seats, show only Sweden (44 percent), Denmark (41 percent) and Spain (40 percent) as not having a majority fearful for the EU’s future.

The worrying results, released seven days ahead of the European elections, shows Slovakia (66 percent), France (58 percent) and Romania (58 percent) as the most concerned EU member states.

They were closely followed by Poland, Italy and Greece, where populist, anti-EU parties are flourishing ahead of next week’s vote.

As many of a third of voters in France and Poland believe that war between EU countries could breakout.

Around 46 percent of supporters for Marine Le Pen’s eurosceptic National Rally movement and 41 percent of Alternative for Germany hold this view.

The fear of European conflicts is most prominent in young voters, aged between 18 and 34, who believe a war could breakout within a decade.

Voters in France (40 percent), the Netherlands (47 percent), Germany (34 percent), Poland (43 percent) and Spain (32 percent) are most worried about a potential conflict.

Across Europe, three quarters of voters feel that politics is broken at national or EU levels, or both.

In France, which has been blighted by the anti-government ‘Yellow Vest’ movement, only 15 percent of voters think the political system operates well.

Concerns are also driven by the EU’s financial health – housing, unemployment and living costs all major factors in the Netherlands, Austria, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Spain, France, Italy, Germany and Romania.

Voters fear that the EU’s collapse would impact free trade, travel, live and work freely, defence and security cooperation and being able to stand up to the US and China.

Free trade (38 percent) is the biggest loss, closely followed by free movement (37 percent), in the event of the EU’s demise, according to voters.

Only 8 percent of participants do not think they would lose much if the EU was to collapse.

Mark Leonard, director of the ECFR think tank, said: “here are seven days to resolve the paradox at the heart of the European project. Support for EU membership is at the highest level since 1983 – and yet a majority of voters fear the EU might collapse.

“The challenge for pro-Europeans is to use this fear of loss to mobilise their silent majority and ensure that it is not just the anti-system parties who get their say on May 26.

“Pro-Europeans need to offer voters bold ideas for change that emotionally resonate and make the silent majority feel it is worth turning out at the end of May.

“It is not yet too late – with a volatile European electorate, there are up to 97 million voters who could still be persuaded to vote for different parties.”

Susi Dennison, a senior policy fellow at ECFR, added: “The challenge now is for pro-European parties to reconnect with voters who retain a belief that the European project is a good thing but feel that the system is broken, showing them that voting is a worthwhile thing to do, with the issues they care about for the future in mind.”

Fieldwork was undertaken between January 23 and February 25, 2019, and from March 4 to 24, 2019.”

  11. EU Court Stops Deportations of Migrants Even If They Are Security Threats (breitbart, May 16, 2019)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2019/05/16/eu-court-stops-deportations-of-migrants-even-if-they-are-security-threats/

“The European Court of Justice (ECJ) has given a series of rulings on deportation cases involving migrants who had either been convicted of crimes or deemed a security threat, refusing to allow them to be deported in case they face torture in their own countries.

The three cases ruled on by the court involve migrants from Congo, Ivory Coast, and Chechnya who were refused asylum status in either Belgium or the Czech Republic because they had either been convicted of serious crimes or deemed to be a threat to the national security of either country, Il Giornale reports.

The court, which is based in Luxembourg, said that a denial of asylum does not mean that the asylum seekers will be automatically deported, saying that they still fall under the protection of the Geneva Convention and if there is reasonable evidence that they will be tortured or killed in their home countries, the migrants cannot be deported from Europe.

The ruling could be a blow for populist Italian Interior Minister Matteo Salvini who has promised to begin deportations of criminal migrants to their home countries and has set aside money to help negotiate the transfer of illegal migrants to countries where Italy does not have repatriation agreements.

Salvini reacted to the ruling saying, “This is why it is important to change this Europe with a vote for the Lega on May 26th,” and went on to add, “However, I do not change my mind and I do not change the law: the ‘asylum seekers’ who rape, steal and sell drugs, will all go back to their home. And in the Security Decree, there are even more stringent rules against smugglers and traffickers.”

The migration and security decree was drafted and passed by the Italian parliament last year, despite some rebellion from Senators in the Five Star Movement (M5S), Salvini’s coalition partner. The decree also scraps the humanitarian residency permit, which the government expects will lead to 2,000 or so migrants leaving the country per month to return to their homelands.”

    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2019/05/16/austria-moves-towards-junior-school-headscarf-ban/

“Austrian lawmakers have approved plans to ban girls in elementary schools from wearing headscarves, a move that would add to existing restrictions on veils.

The Austria Press Agency reported that lawmakers from the governing coalition of Chancellor Sebastian Kurz’s conservative People’s Party and the anti-migration Freedom Party supported the measure late Wednesday.

Kurz’s party conceded that the new headscarf ban is likely to face challenges at Austria’s Constitutional Court.

The measure bans wearing “ideologically or religiously characterized clothing” that covers the head, and specifies that it refers to items “that cover the whole or large parts of the hair.”

Austria’s previous government prohibited full-face veils in courts, schools and other “public places” and banned police officers, judges, magistrates and public prosecutors from wearing headscarves.”

The Sanaa airstrikes came after Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi rebels, who control the capital, launched a drone attack earlier in the week on a critical oil pipeline in Saudi Arabia, Tehran’s biggest rival in the region.

Five military personnel were also killed, the armed forces said, without specifying where those deaths took place.

The figures covered the “last period”, the military said in a video, without specifying dates or locations of operations. It did not give the identity of the militants or their affiliation.

The military said it had found 385 explosive devices and had carried out controlled explosions, but did not specify the locations.

  16. Alabama law moves abortion to the center of 2020 campaign

WASHINGTON (AP) — Alabama’s new law restricting abortion in nearly every circumstance has moved one of the most polarizing issues in American politics to the center of the 2020 presidential campaign.

The state’s legislation — the toughest of several anti-abortion measures that have passed recently, with the only exception being a serious risk to the woman’s health — prompted an outcry from Democratic presidential candidates, who warned that conservatives were laying the groundwork to undermine the landmark Roe v. Wade decision. The White House, meanwhile, didn’t comment on the Alabama bill, signed into law Wednesday by Republican Gov. Kay Ivey, as President Donald Trump tries to balance his conservative base against the potential of antagonizing women who are already skeptical of his presidency.

  18. Iran-backed militias move rockets in range of U.S. troops: Report

The current ramping up of U.S. military posturing against Iran was triggered by U.S. intelligence that showed Tehran-backed militias in Iraq moving rockets to locations that could hit bases where American troops are positioned in the nation, according to sources familiar with the intelligence.

Trump administration officials have said the Pentagon’s bumping up of the deployment last week of a U.S. aircraft carrier and bomber group to the region was justified by intelligence on threats of a potentially imminent attack by Iran on U.S. interests in Iraq, but have provided no specific details publicly.

However, a report on Wednesday said Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s surprise trip to Iraq earlier this month came after U.S. intelligence had picked up communications related to the movement of rockets in Iraq by Iran-backed militias there.

Mr. Pompeo told top Iraqi military officials during a sudden visit to Baghdad on May 7 that Iraqi forces needed to keep the Iran-backed militias in check, according to the report by Reuters, which cited two Iraqi security sources as saying the secretary of state warned that Washington would respond with force if the militias weren’t contained.

    • Saudi Prince Says Iran Ordered Pipeline Attack as Tensions Mount

Saudi Arabia accused Iran of ordering this week’s attack by Yemeni rebels on a key oil pipeline, stoking concerns that the world’s largest oil-producing region is edging toward another war. Crude prices rose.

Prince Khalid Bin Salman, the vice minister for defense and brother of Saudi Arabia’s de facto ruler, said on Twitter that Tuesday’s drone attack, claimed by Iran-backed Houthis, had undermined political efforts to ease tensions in Yemen.

“The terrorist acts, ordered by the regime in Tehran, and carried out by the Houthis, are tightening the noose around the ongoing political efforts,” Prince Khalid said, without providing evidence of Iranian involvement. “These militias are merely a tool that Iran’s regime uses to implement its expansionist agenda in the region.”

Saudi-led forces launched retaliatory airstrikes against Houthi positions in the divided country, where the United Nations is working to end a four-year war that’s killed thousands and left millions facing hunger and disease.

Timeline of U.S. moves sheds light on Iran threat
      By J.E. Dyer May 16, 2019

There are a lot of moving parts with the recent back-and-forth dynamic in developments between the U.S., regional nations, and Iran. Without essaying a comprehensive treatment, it is at least illuminating to look at when some of these events occurred and consider them in sequence.

The most recent developments, on Wednesday 15 May, were the announcement of a major personnel drawdown at the U.S. embassy in Baghdad – along with a stringent travel warning to Americans about Iraq – and the U.S. decision to curtail all remaining commercial flights between the U.S. and Venezuela. As we’ll see, the latter is probably related to the ongoing tension with Iran.

The natural starting point for the most pertinent events in the timeline would be the reported defection of a senior IRGC general officer, Brigadier General Ali Nasiri, in April. According to the Islamic State of Iran Crime Research Center (ISICRC), in a 22 April report, Nasiri sought refuge at a U.S. embassy in the Persian Gulf as early as 12 or 13 April, following an 11 April blow-up with Ayatollah Khamenei’s representative in the IRGC.

      https://libertyunyielding.com/2019/05/16/timeline-of-u-s-moves-sheds-light-on-iran-threat/

Richard: This article is interesting for several reasons:

      1) She brings out the probablity that the explosives on the Iranian and Saudi takers were placed there by underwater drones.

      2) She talks about the intel reports of Iran shipping missiles by boats, note that she says boats not ships.

      3) She brings out that one of our actions after the IRGC defectors was in our hands was cutting off air travel to Venezuela. This probably means that there was some specific intel threat about Hezbollah or the IRGC moving people and material through Venezuela to the US. she also reminds us that Nicaragua is also in play as a staging point for infiltration into the US. Tied to this is the possiblity that there was threats of Iran striking directly at the US homeland and not our personal.

      4) She puts the massive missile assault on Israel as one of her data points on hte time line saying it was probably Iranian inspired (Richard: Or ordered) and that the missiles were probably supplied by Iran.

My comments are out of sequence with the time line but you need to read the entire article, the time line is interesting and asks a lot more questions then it answers.

      • Israel’s been reporting that Iran’s Mayan Air has been flying – free as a bird, despite sanctions – all over the place. Tehran and Damascus, Beirut, Venezuela, getting spare parts from sanction-busting Germany. (Also – reportedly – pallets of euros.)

“A German intelligence report also noted that, ‘Iran has continued unchanged the pursuit of its ambitious program to acquire technology for its rocket and missile delivery program.’

“Much of that activity has evidently taken place in Germany: Iran’s efforts to develop its nuclear and missile programs resulted in “32 procurement attempts… that definitely or with high likelihood were undertaken for the benefit of proliferation programs,” in the state of North Rhine -Westphalia, Fox News reported in 2017.

“Germany is now refusing even to disclose Iranian attempts to obtain nuclear weapons and missile technology, and claiming that it no longer keeps such statistics, Fox News recently reported.”

  19. IARPA Needs More Training Data for Video Surveillance Algorithms

The data would improve the tech’s ability to link together footage shot across a broad geographic space, allowing it to better track and identify potential targets.

The intelligence community’s research arm wants to train algorithms to track people across sprawling video surveillance networks, and it needs more data to do it.

The Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity is recruiting teams to build bigger, better datasets to train computer vision algorithms that would monitor people as they move through urban environments. The training data would improve the tech’s ability to link together footage from a large network of security cameras, allowing it to better track and identify potential targets.

Computer vision is a type of artificial intelligence that allows computers to interpret images and videos. Many law enforcement and public safety organizations already use the tech to investigate crimes, monitor critical infrastructure and secure major events that could be targets for terrorists. An early version of the tech was used to identify the perpetrators of the Boston Marathon bombing in 2013, for instance, its popularity has only grown in the years since.

    • US abstains from global pledge to curb online violence

PARIS (AP) — The White House is not endorsing a global pledge to step up efforts to keep internet platforms from being used to spread hate, organize extremist groups and broadcast attacks, citing respect for “freedom of expression and freedom of the press.”

The statement came Wednesday after World leaders led by French President Emmanuel Macron and executives from Facebook, Google, Twitter and other tech companies gathered in Paris to compile a set of guidelines dubbed the “Christchurch Call,” named after the New Zealand city where 51 people were killed in a March attack on mosques. Much of the attack was broadcast live on Facebook, drawing public outrage and fueling debate on how to better regulate social media. Facebook said before the meeting that it was tightening rules for livestream users.

  20. Sen. Graham unveils plan to combat immigration crisis at southern border

    OAN Newsroom
    UPDATED 10:34 AM PT — Wednesday, May 15, 2019

Senate Judiciary Committee chairman Lindsey Graham recently unveiled his plan to combat the influx of migrants at the southern border. He presented the Secure and Protect Act of 2019 Wednesday, explaining how his initiative would stop Central American migrants from claiming asylum at the Mexico border.

Graham noted that there has been a 64-percent increase in detaining family units at the border, and said his plan would increase the number of days to process a family unit from 20 to 100. His proposal also requested an additional 500 new immigration judges be hired to clear the backlog of asylum cases.

  25. Suspects back in Morocco court over Scandinavian hiker murders

Two dozen jihadist suspects charged over the brutal murder of two Scandinavian women hiking in Morocco appeared in court Thursday with the main accused facing possible death sentences.

Danish student Louisa Vesterager Jespersen, 24, and 28-year-old Norwegian Maren Ueland had their throats slit while camping in an isolated area of the High Atlas mountains in December.

The main suspects, who allegedly pledged allegiance to the Islamic State (IS) group, are all from the Marrakesh region near the site of the killings, which shocked the North African country.

Abdessamad Ejjoud, a 25-year-old street vendor, is the alleged leader of the group. He had been jailed for trying to join IS in Syria but was released in 2015.

Younes Ouaziyad, a 27-year-old carpenter, and 33-year-old street vendor Rachid Afatti have also been named as key suspects.

The defendants were taken from prison to an anti-terrorism court in Sale, near Rabat, in vans escorted by police on motorcycles for the resumption of their trial, an AFP reporter said.

They face charges including promoting terrorism, forming a terrorist cell and premeditated murder.

The families of the accused did not attend the court session.

The main suspects “spontaneously admitted their crime during the investigation, and today they regret what they did,” their lawyer Hafida Mekessaoui told AFP.

An opening hearing was held on May 2 but immediately postponed for two weeks after defence lawyers requested more time to prepare their case.

A Spanish-Swiss convert to Islam is among the suspects on trial, accused of teaching the main accused how to use encrypted communications and how to fire a gun.

Nature lovers Jespersen and Ueland shared an apartment and went to Norway’s Bo University where they were studying to be guides.

They had travelled together to Morocco for their Christmas holidays.

Their lives were cut short in the foothills of Toubkal, the highest summit in North Africa, some 80 kilometres (50 miles) from the city of Marrakesh, a tourist magnet.

    – ‘Enemies of Allah’ –

According to the charge sheet, the assailants travelled to the High Atlas mountains on December 12 on a mission to kill tourists.

Several potential targets were passed over because the foreigners were accompanied by guides or local residents.

It was four days before they selected their targets. Two of them carried out the killings while the third filmed them on a telephone, according to the prosecution.

After the bodies were discovered, the Moroccan authorities were initially cautious, referring to a “criminal act” and wounds to the victims’ necks.

But that all changed when the video surfaced showing a victim being beheaded, while one of the killers refers to “enemies of Allah” says the attacks were in revenge for the killings of jihadists in Syria.

A separate video in the initial aftermath of the murders showed the alleged killers pledging allegiance to IS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

Investigators said the “cell” was inspired by IS ideology, but Morocco’s anti-terror chief insisted the accused had no contact with the jihadist group in conflict zones.

IS has never claimed responsibility for the double-murder.

Police quickly arrested a first suspect in the suburbs of Marrakesh, and three others were caught a few days later when they tried to leave the city by bus.

The suspects had recently embraced Salafism, an ultra-conservative branch of Sunni Islam, according to friends, neighbours and some family members.

A lawyer for one of the victim’s families told AFP he would seek the death penalty for the murders.

A de facto suspension on executions has been in place in Morocco since 1993.

A second Swiss citizen arrested after the double-murder was tried separately and jailed in mid-April for 10 years on charges including “forming a terrorist group”.

The main trial is expected to run for months before it reaches a verdict.

By Daily Caller News Foundation May 15, 2019

Democrats will introduce legislation to completely phase out the use of gasoline-powered cars by mandating that only zero-emissions vehicles can be sold by 2040.

“When I take a lungful of air in this moment, it has 30 percent more carbon in it than when I was born,” Oregon Sen. Jeff Merkley, the bill’s main sponsor told The Huffington Post on Wednesday. “That is a change that has never happened in a single generation of humankind on this planet.”

The bill is co-sponsored by Sens. Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island, Brian Schatz of Hawaii, Kamala Harris of California, Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, and Bernie Sanders of Vermont. California Rep. Mike Levin will introduce a House version of the bill, HuffPo reported.

Never mind that Trump Jr. has already testified for over 27 hours before various congressional committees or that the special prosecutor determined that that there was no collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. In spite of all that, the Senate Intelligence Committee subpoenaed the President’s son to talk about the non-existent collusion, and on Monday Lindsey Graham, the Senate Judiciary Committee chairman, urged Trump Jr. to show up but take the Fifth when he’s forced to answer questions from Intelligence Committee.

Apparently, the committee wants to ask Trump Jr. about the Moscow Trump Tower deal. The scuttlebutt is that the testimony of the president’s son differs from that of the president’s former personal attorney Michael Cohen. The committee wants to decide who was lying, Trump Jr. or the guy whose address is now the federal prison in Otisville, N.Y., where he is serving a three-year sentence after he pleaded guilty to lying to Congress. One doesn’t have to be a Trump supporter to know that hearings are not needed to determine who was being truthful. And Graham, mindful of that, recommended the most expedient action.

  29. Horrific: Video shows bus passenger pushing elderly man to his death
By LU Staff May 15, 2019

Fate brought the two of them together on a city bus in Las Vegas on March 21. According to Fournier, who initially survived the fall, Bishop was cursing at other passengers. As he passed by her on his way to the exit, he urged her to be nicer to her fellow riders.

She was apparently displeased by his reprimand and retaliated by shoving him once he had reached the door, sending him flying to the pavement below. The incident, captured on surveillance video, shows Bishop, accompanied by young son, “walking from the bus without offering assistance to the victim, who was not able to brace for the fall,” according to Las Vegas NBC affiliate KSNV.

Amazon and Microsoft were also among those who agreed on a nine-point plan of action after the meeting in Paris, named the Christchurch Call to Action.

The meeting, hosted by French president Emmanuel Macron and New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern , was in response to the terror attack on mosques in Christchurch in March, in which 51 people were killed in an atrocity livestreamed on Facebook.

In a joint statement, the tech companies said they would each take individual steps to improve their policies on violent content, as well as increase collaboration in order to fight the spread of such content.

But the text did not outline any concrete steps that would be taken by individual firms, nor set any timeframe for putting any new measures in place.

      + video

PARIS — A new digital charter will dictate how the country will combat hate speech, misinformation and online electoral interference in Canada, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told a technology conference in Paris on Thursday.

Trudeau made the announcement at the VivaTech conference, an international summit that brings together startups and technology leaders.

The announcement was short on details, which Trudeau says will be revealed in various announcements over the coming weeks.

Notably, Innovation Minister Navdeep Bains is expected to talk about the initiative at a summit on digital governance in Ottawa in late May.

The prime minister said he’s confident the proposed framework will restore the faith of citizens while holding platforms accountable.

Social media and combating online extremism were at the top of the agenda as Trudeau winds down his two day trip to France.

In addition to a working lunch with French president Emmanuel Macron, Trudeau met with New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern earlier Thursday in a bilateral meeting.

Ardern said it was one thing to offer condolences following the Christchurch mosque attacks that left 51 dead, but it was quite another to put those words into action as Canada has done in signing on to the “Christchurch Call” — a pledge involving several world leaders and internet giants to stop the spread of hate online.

At the end of the summit, Facebook, Google, Twitter and other technology giants pledged to step up their efforts to prevent their platforms from being used to spread hatred, help extremist groups organize and broadcast attacks.

Trudeau and Ardern discussed online violence and extremism in their respective countries, but also broached trade and security commitments around the world.

Following a bilateral meeting and working lunch, Trudeau and Macron spoke to reporters briefly outside the presidential Elysee Palace.

The two leaders discussed “ensuring that the web giants and tech companies take more responsibility for their social and community impacts, including against hatred and violence,” Trudeau said.

He repeated that he was heartbroken during a visit to the fire-ravaged Notre Dame Cathedral, but was inspired by the work and courage of Paris firefighters who were able to salvage much of the building.

He repeated a pledge Wednesday to offer any support needed in the rebuilding of the landmark church — one day after he announced Canada’s pledge to offer steel and softwood lumber.

The prime minister was to meet Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales later Thursday

  30. Justice Ministry hiding serious crimes committed by asylum seekers: report
    https://nltimes.nl/2019/05/16/justice-ministry-hiding-serious-crimes-committed-asylum-seekers-report

The Ministry of Justice and Security hid the number of serious crimes committed by asylum seekers in the Netherlands by including crimes like sexual offenses, aggravated assaults, and murder and manslaughter or attempts thereto under the heading of “other” in figures released to parliament, the Telegraaf reports.

Earlier this week State Secretary Mark Harbers released police figures on crimes committed by asylum seekers last year, but the above mentioned serious crimes were not mentioned in the report. This is because these crimes were included in the “other” category, the Telegraaf writes after checking the figures with police. According to the newspaper, it concerns 79 sexual offenses, 51 aggravated assaults, and 31 suspicions of murder and manslaughter or attempts thereto.

When asked why these crimes were not explicitly mentioned in the report, Harbers’ department said hat this involved “not proven cases” and they were trying to make sure the overview is not inexhaustibly long, according to newspaper AD. The final overview consisted of one column on half an A4 in the over 50 pages long report, the newspaper writes.

The report showed that the police responded a total of 4,600 times last year to reports of crimes committed by asylum seekers. This mainly involved crimes like shoplifting or pickpocketing, but also assault, threats and vandalism. Of these cases, 2,610 ended up with the Public Prosecutor. It concerns a total of 1,710 suspects, so many of them were suspected of more than one offense.

The Telegraaf’s revelation led to angry reactions from the Tweede Kamer, the lower house of Dutch parliament. CDA parliamentarian Madeleine van Toorenburg asked Harbers for clarification, pointing out that the Ministry was previously under fire about a report on crimes around a asylum centers, AD reports. “Then too we were fooled by studies that would show it was not all that bad. That analysis was also incorrect because many had been left out of consideration. This requires clarification. I submitted a debate request because we can only make policy based on complete and honest figures.”

SP parliamentarian Jasper van Dijk called it “painful” that the Ministry did not immediately release all the figures. “I will call on Harbers about that. The Kamer must have all the information for the correct approach to criminal asylum seekers. This is necessary to maintain support for the reception of refugees.”

PVV MP Sietse Fritsma told AD that “facts are being brushed away”. “This cabinet wants to make people believe that the consequences of the migration are not so bad. That is pure deception. The inability to tackle perpetrators is thus disguised.”

  31. Incidents between Amsterdam refugees, students prompt measures
    https://nltimes.nl/2019/05/15/incidents-amsterdam-refugees-students-prompt-measures

Last year there were around 30 incidents at Amsterdam student complexes where refugees and students live together, the Amsterdam office of mayor and alderman said in a report to the city council. The city is taking measures to reduce these incidents, Het Parool reports.

Incidents reported include nuisance, theft and sexual harassment. There were also a number of attempted suicides. The mayor and aldermen estimate that refugees were involved in 25 incidents. How those figures correspond to incidents at regular student complexes unclear, according to the office, because no information is available on this.

According to the mayor and aldermen, the reported incidents showed regular links with excessive alcohol consumption, different lifestyles and personal problems like loneliness.

The municipality plans to tackle these problems by taking extra measures, like installing more surveillance cameras and improving the lighting at the complexes’ entrances. Refugees who cause problems will receive counseling more quickly, and people caught sexually harassing someone will immediately be addressed, if necessary in the presence of the police. The municipality also asked addiction clinic Jellinek to do a study into drug and alcohol use among refugees.

The cohabitation project in Amsterdam was developed by housing associations De Key and Eigen Haard. The idea is that having young people and refugees live close together will help promote integration. Each corridor in these cohabitation complexes has a ‘pacemaker’, for example, who makes sure that everyone in the building is linked to another resident, so that by exchanging knowledge everyone can make a good start in the Dutch capital.

    • Europe’s far-right wooing the young

Why in the hell not? These mites have almost been neuroplasticized to death. Maybe some lungfuls of clean air will break apart all that Postmodern cross-linking and speed up whatever deprogramming it takes to them out of the matrix. The only problem being that many of these kids come with more triggers than a traveling gun show.

When you ain’t got nothing, you got nothing to lose

      — Bob Dylan

It’s strange how Leftists endlessly rationalize constant barbarity by hopeless, impoverished, youthful Paleostinian terrorists with handwaving about their lack of opportunity—eternally blaming it for all sorts of extremism and non-assimilation* [spit].

Coincidentally MILLER TIME! those exact same jobless indigenous European youth who’ve ZERO career—or marriage and childbearing—chances are forbidden to use IDENTICALLY “DIRE” CIRCUMSTANCES as any rationale to rebel against immigrant crime and those abusers of power that side with the malefactors on every issue.

Well beyond strange is how it’s not just idiotic willkommenskultur loons who routinely stopper up the futures of their own children but Globalists who’ll NEVER get the pool of cheap skilled labor they keep jizzing about.

These disingenuous shits must be doing it for a reason but—between the crippling cognitive dissonance and self-loathing on one side—contrasted with a (for all intents and purposes) concerted effort by the Tranzi 1% to annihilate all Rule of Law.

Communist China and Venezuela are NOT two sides of the same coin. That pair of Socialist hellholes are merely a center-to-edge profile of the specie. This discussion isn’t about a little historic meter money.

This ain’t pocket change we’re talking about here because it’s not just our money clips that’ll get picked by these gun-grabbers. It’s come down to this: If we don’t kick their tails, it’s our heads that’ll roll.

Speaking of keeping one’s head in an optimal state of corporeal unity. As Poor Richard (not you, Richard!) so often was heard to say in those “interesting times” of his:

We must indeed all hang together, or most assuredly we shall all hang separately.

      — Benjamin Franklin

The pivotal irony being that these disingenuous Useful Idiots and their pet Muslim reivers will keep using Socialist lawfare to bottle up the inwrought rage that birthright natives will be unable to vent save through Total War (be it civil, guerilla, revolutionary, or just the usual periodic Jeffersonian arboreal irrigation).

Woe betide these plummy little, virtue-signaling bastards when their indolent pet Muslims start stripping out all the low hanging fruit. They’ll find out who goes to the wall first. New Year’s in Köln was just a warmup.

Ripe young Maria Ladenburgers are a lot easier to cherry-pick than smarter hard targets like angry young Eurotrash. Taking everything from someone creates the absolute most dangerous enemy—give a foe nothing to lose and they will certainly not mind taking everybody down with them. One would think these shirtless shites kicking the EU shitless woulda already learnt them that most basic lesson.

Soon enough, those frogs Europeans who’re not yet simmering in the stew-pot are going to twig on just how lazy these flesh-eating Nafris and Muslims really are. The story of their modern-day cannibalism will be scored into heaps of Europe’s gnawed, marrowless bones.

      * Too bad that favorite applecart of The Narrative™—you know, about desperately impoverished Muslim yoots being a primary source of “lone wolf” terrorists [spit]—got overturned TOTALED by the upper-caste origins of those pampered Sri Lankan butchers.

Loretta Lynch, who was Barack Obama’s Attorney General, is in hot water, and things are about to boil over. After more than two years of speculation and great investigative work, Lynch’s signature was found on every FISA application to spy on President Donald Trump. Now, the former AG is really regretting it. You’ll love this.

  33. BIG LEAGUE NATIONAL SECURITYEXCLUSIVE: Judge Who Signed FISA Warrant Strongly Criticized Lynch and ClapperPublished 9 months ago on Aug 7, 2018 By Tore Lindeman

Last week the FISA documents pertaining to surveillance authorized on Carter Page were released and riddled with redactions. The redactions are key in order to understand just how incredible the plan to eliminate “Candidate #1” really was.

The judge who signed the first FISA warrant allowing Barack Obama’s intelligence agencies to surveil Carter Page stated her strong concerns with the FISA request that Loretta Lynch and James Clapper submitted, which was supported by affidavits by the Directors of NCTC, CIA , NSA and FBI. In her memo here, which is 99 pages long, she identifies the rushed effort that coincided with the surveillance she herself authorized. This Judge explicitly states multiple violations and abuse by the FBI and admits that raw intercepted communications were outsourced to IC elements that are “contractors” (pgs.83-95 ).

Here are just a few of the concerns raised by Judge Rosemary Collyer: (HERE’S THE DOCUMENT)

  34. A British police station this week lauded themselves with a picture on Twitter designed to showcase their efforts at tackling knife crime – but didn’t quite scoop up the coverage they were hoping for thanks to the presence of a rogue spoon in the image.

The Regents Park Police force announced that it had “conducted weapons sweeps, dealt with a person injured from a van reversing on them, reported a burglary, and collected all these from @scope charity shop who diligently didn’t want them to get into the wrong hands & disposed of correctly & safely,” read the tweet.
