I submit this as a an ostensibly OT example, yet not OT example of where tyranny can come from. The world’s biggest billionaire hedge fund manager reflects on China. He offers much experience and insight. He compares the age-old Chinese collective mentality with the American individualist propensity, concluding that neither is better. Strike one. He does not acknowledge the superiority of the free-market system that made him what he is. Strike two. I see this disconnect between a billionaire, and a fervent adherence to the roots of his own ascension, as strike three. I see this is a phenomenon repeated in many wealthy globalists.
