MSNBC host ends up with egg facial after mistaking this sound for gunfire

MSNBC host Nicole Wallace was a bit skittish in reporting about the tragic shooting at YouTube’s headquarters in California on Tuesday.
Wallace, a noted gun-grabbing liberal who after the school shooting in Parkland said that “the Republican Party … has blood on its hands,” got a little hysterical on set when she turned an average everyday office sound into an alarm that there were gunshots going off.
She was reporting on the YouTube shooting, tying it back into a partisan mindset prior to the terrorist attacks of 9/11, when somebody in the studio opened a can of soda. Wallace mistook the sound for gunshots.
To her credit, she didn’t appear all that alarmed by the sound, which at the same is baffling. Who acts nonchalantly after hearing a sound he believes to be a gun report?

New York’s Finest are on the hot seat again after four officers fatally shot an unarmed Brooklyn man, Saheed Vassell, on Wednesday. They don’t deserve it — but the city mental-health system does.
The officers were responding to calls of a man using a gun to terrorize folks, including an adult with a kid. When they got to the scene, Vassell, as video shows, took what police called “a two-handed shooting stance” and pointed the “gun” at the cops.
Except it was a piece of a welding torch that merely looked like a firearm.
Critics say the cops should’ve asked him to raise his hands before firing, or at least aimed for his leg. But the video suggests the officers had scant time to react; they were told he had a weapon and believed they saw one — pointing straight at them. They had every right to defend themselves. (As for aiming at his leg, cops only do that in movies; the risk of missing is too great.)

Rochester, N.Y., City Court Judge Leticia Astacio last reported for work on Feb. 27. She hasn’t shown up since, which is hardly unusual considering she hadn’t been to work previously since Aug. 31, 2017.
The fact that she missed 213 out of 214 days of work didn’t prevent her from collecting an $11,700 pay raise on Apr. 1, bringing her annual compensation to $187,200.
Astacio, who claims she has been ill and even has a doctor’s note, is incredulous that the media care about any of this.
“I can’t even begin to fathom why this is a story. All of the judges in New York are getting raises,” she told the Democrat & Chronicle. “Last year there was a raise too, but it wasn’t news then for whatever reason. I am so tired of being the focal point of the Rochester media like there’s nothing else for them to talk about. That’s insane.”

According to the Spiegel, German authorities are “assuming” the incident was an attack.
Germany’s RP has quoted Germany police saying they are “mourning for the victims and the injured”.

MÜNSTER – Kurdish Protest Cancelled Due To Terror Act In Germany
The planned demonstration of Kurds in the center of Münster in the west of Germany was canceled on Saturday after an unknown drove a truck into a group of people.
Earlier media reported that a group of people sitting on street seating of a restaurant in the historic center of Münster were driven in by a truck. Three people were killed, at least 30 injured. Presumably, this is a terrorist act.
According to the publication, about 1,5 thousand people were expected to participate in a Kurdish protest.
The protest was supposed to be overseen by policemen who by the time of the attack were already in the city center, and therefore were able to react quickly to what had happened.

Police spokesman Andreas Bode says witnesses told them others left the van after it crashed Saturday afternoon into a crowd outside a popular bar in the western German city. The German news agency dpa reported that witnesses spoke of two others in the van besides the driver.
Bode also said police had found a suspicious object inside the van and were investigating it.
Police have urged people in Muenster to stay inside their homes and avoid the crash scene in the city’s historic downtown.

Facebook and political groups associated with it have reportedly donated to 46 of the 55 members on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which will question Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg next week.
According to a USA Today analysis, members on this year’s House Energy and Commerce Committee have received roughly $381,000 in Facebook-related contributions since 2007 with the average Republican getting $6,800 and the average Democrat getting $6,750. The report was based on data from the Center for Responsive Politics.
Committee Chair Greg Walden (R-OR) reportedly received $27,000 while Ranking Member Frank Pallone (D-NY) got $7,000 in Facebook-related contributions. Rep. Anna Eshoo (D-CA), the Bay Area Democrat whose district is reportedly home to many Facebook executives and employees, got the most contributions, receiving $51,050 in the last decade.
Walden and Pallone announced on Wednesday that Zuckerberg will be testifying before Congress next week on “critical consumer data privacy issues.”

BOSTON — A federal judge dismissed a lawsuit challenging Massachusetts’ ban on assault weapons and large-capacity magazines, saying in a ruling released Friday that the weapons fall beyond the reach of the Second Amendment. U.S. District Judge William Young said assault weapons are military firearms and aren’t protected by the constitutional right to “bear arms.” Regulation of the weapons is a matter of policy, not for the courts, he said.
“Other states are equally free to leave them unregulated and available to their law-abiding citizens,” Young said. “These policy matters are simply not of constitutional moment. Americans are not afraid of bumptious, raucous and robust debate about these matters. We call it democracy.”
Democratic state Attorney General Maura Healey said the ruling “vindicates the right of the people of Massachusetts to protect themselves from these weapons of war.”

Rezan Gilo, the joint chief of defense in Syrian Kurdistan (Rojava), has told Sputnik that the international coalition led by the US is building new bases in northern Syria.
“Yes, the international coalition is building new bases in Manbij, and it is connected with military plans. … Be it US bases or French ones, we are interacting with it [the coalition] rather than the countries. In general, the construction of bases is underway in northern Syria, especially in the east of the Euphrates,” Gilo said.
According to him, Daesh* managed to partly recover its forces thanks to the pro-Turkish forces in Afrin and a threat of an attack on Manbij and other areas in northern Syria.
“Whether the Americans will decide to leave or stay on [in Syria], we hope for their strength, as well as the strength of our people and our fighters. The presence of the US-led coalition helps us combat terrorists. Trump signs memo ordering end to ‘catch and release’ practices

President Trump signed a memorandum on Friday ordering agencies to “expeditiously end” the practice known as “catch and release” that allows immigrants caught in the U.S. without proper documents to be released from detention while their cases play out in court.
The memo signed by Trump orders the Department of Homeland Security, in coordination with other agencies, to submit a report to the president within 45 days “detailing all measures that their respective departments have pursued or are pursuing to expeditiously end ‘catch and release’ practices.”
The report instructs departments to share information on any contracts to construct or operate detention facilities along the border as well as steps taken to assign asylum officers at detention facilities, among other measures.
As part of the order, Trump is requesting “a detailed list of all existing facilities, including military facilities, that could be used, modified, or repurposed to detain aliens for violations of immigration law at or near the borders of the United States.”

Claiming he was just trying to free Josh Holt, a devout young Mormon from Utah held hostage by Venezuela’s Maduro regime on phony charges, left-wing Illinois Democratic senator Dick Durbin isn’t exactly credible about his real mission in his secret visit to Caracas this past week.
Rep. Pete Sessions, a Dallas-based Republican, isn’t exactly believable, either, given that he called his secret trip with Durbin “a peace mission” to Caracas last week. Ralf.
Stranger still, Sessions should have good reason to despise Durbin, given that Durbin invented a phony story for the press about Sessions insulting President Obama in 2013, something even Obama’s White House denied. Durbin apparently does a lot of this. It was Durbin who invented the story about President Trump calling migrant countries “s-hole countries,” which the White House again denied. What a guy.

This one is worth reading, they are up to something and they didn’t want the State Department to know about the trip, what makes it more intriguing is that both really dislike the other. What business did they have in Venezuela that they didn’t want the State Department to know about? Another interesting fact is that Venezuela is in such bad economic state that Russia and China won’t invest any money there. Both use to be interested in having influence or possibly even control of Venezuela, now they stay far away.

Memphis reporter Manuel Duran now in Louisiana immigration detention center, lawyer says
Manuel Duran, the reporter for Spanish-language media arrested this week while doing a live Internet video of a Memphis protest, has been transferred to an immigration detention center in Louisiana, his attorney said Friday.
Duran is currently in the LaSalle ICE Processing Center, a privately-run detention center in Jena, Louisiana, said Christina Swatzell, a staff attorney with Latino Memphis who is representing Duran in the immigration case.
Jena is about 300 miles south of Memphis and reachable in roughly six hours by car.
Now that Duran has been taken into immigration custody, he could face more days in detention and eventual deportation. His attorney can ask an immigration judge to grant him bail and later to allow him to stay in the country.

“The Belgian Islamic party Partij Islam is set to run candidates in 28 municipalities in the upcoming Belgian municipal elections, and have declared their intention to create an Islamic State in which women and men have to ride in separate buses.
The Partij Islam is likely hoping to do well in highly Muslim-populated areas like Molenbeek and Anderlecht where the party already has some representation, HLN reports.
Anderlecht municipal councillor Redouane Ahrouch, the treasurer of the party, told Belgian media: “Our goal is a one hundred percent Islamic state.”
Ahrouch, who works also as a bus driver in Anderlecht, said that many women have complained to him that men were trying to sexually harass and grab them. His solution to the problem, he said, is to separate public transport by sex so that women have their own buses.
The party also believes that any woman should be allowed to wear the Islamic headscarf anywhere they want and that all schools in the country should be forced to offer halal meat on their school menus. Last year the European Court of Human Rights upheld the Belgian ban on the wearing of the full-face veil in public.
Belgian State Secretary for Asylum and Migration Theo Francken slammed the party’s stances, saying: “Women do not have rights in their shariah world. And it starts with separate public transport. I am disgusted by this ISLAM party. This is spitting on Europe.”
The party is not the first Islamic party in Europe, as similar parties have sprung up across the continent in countries like the Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden…”

A year ago, in Paris, on April 4, 2017, Sarah Halimi, an elderly Jew, was horribly tortured and murdered in her home in Paris, then thrown from her window by a man shouting “Allahu Akbar” (“Allah is the greatest”) . She had reported to the police several times that she was the victim of anti-Semitic threats — in vain.
Less than a year later in Paris, another elderly — and disabled — Jew, Mireille Knoll, was raped, tortured and murdered in her apartment by another Muslim extremist. Mrs. Knoll, a Holocaust survivor, had also contacted the police to say that she had been threatened. Again, the police did nothing.
For months, the French justice system tried to cover-up the anti-Semitic nature of Sarah Halimi’s murder; the judge in charge of Mireille Knoll’s case at least recognized the anti-Semitic nature of her murder at once.
The new charity honoring Halimi — “Derech Sarah” — will provide educational advice and support to the children of French olim in Israel, many of whom have struggled in making the transition to the Israeli school system. The charity quietly began its work two months ago, and is already assisting fifty children in Jerusalem.

A well-known former political science professor sounded off on a North Carolina elementary school’s flyer detailing “white privilege.”
Earlier this month, an eight-year-old in Raleigh brought home a worksheet discussing “white privilege” – which the school later said was a project of the PTA and not the curriculum.

She said her African-American son then proceeded to ask her questions about whether white people “are better” than him.
The PTA said the sheets were meant for parents, arguing the campaign has received positive feedback and is aimed at “generating awareness and empathy” in the community.
Dr. Carol Swain, a former Vanderbilt professor and 2018 Nashville, Tenn. mayoral candidate, said the flyer is “part of the ongoing indoctrination… designed to instill shame and guilt among white youth.”

KARACHI: At least two persons were killed and six others injured as a result of an explosion in Karachi’s Kemari vicinity, the police informed Geo News.
The explosion reportedly occurred in a private company’s storage tank for molasses. Thousands of liters of the fluid spilled in the vicinity.
The injured were shifted to the burns ward of the city’s Civil Hospital where they are receiving medical treatment, confirmed SSP City Shiraz Nazeer.

MARTINEZ — A Concord man fatally stabbed in February was blocking the entrance of his home to protect his girlfriend, investigators revealed this week.
Homicide victim Daniel Quast, 53, was standing between his girlfriend and a man who was trying to angrily confront her over a dispute related to a car sale, according to police. Later that day, police arrested Pittsburg resident Eric Martinez, 41, on suspicion of murdering Quast.

The Second Amendment: The Meaning, Original Intent, and Current Need
A few points to drive home:
1: Under the original intent of the Second Amendment the small arms and squad weapons of the military are those that can’t be denied to the people. My hunting rifle and shotgun both have some military utility so they also are protected.
2. When they wrote the Second Amendment they didn’t limit the protection to firearms, by also intended that the people should have the right to own and carry knives, swords and hand axes. All of which were at the time were used by all military unites in the world. Out side of ceremonial use swords aren’t used much but knifes and hand axes are often used.
In other words the very firearms the gun grabbers are trying to ban are the ones that enjoy the most protection under the Second Amendment. It also means that all of the knife regulation in the US are as unconstitutional as the gun control laws.
If the left wants to legally disarm us they need to repeal the 2nd Amendment, even attempting to do this would cause such an uproar that the echos would still be sounding by the year 2500.
