Niger’s uranium reserves alone place it front-and-center in the pinspot shining on that global chorus line of “Blood Diamonds” and so many other “Conflict Resources“. Per the linked article: As the CIA World Factbook notes, “Food production isn’t keeping up with the population growth…” Many of this site’s readers know that I’ve recently been writing quite a bit about this issue. Food security—all too often linked with equally influential Water Poverty—will become the ultimate Achilles heel for most Islamic countries, especially those within the MME (Muslim Middle East).
These (polygamist and, consequently, burgeoning) populations will—without a doubt—eventually slam into the brick wall of limited, domestically-produced food supplies. Any inability to grow (or ranch) sufficient nutritional stocks will become a keystone issue with respect to national Food Security. Europe’s recent trend towards “Balkanization” or the creation of ethnic “island states” (e.g., Catalonia) only hastens recognition of why this trend might highlight the importance of independent, national Food Security.
While the Clock Ticks Down
A central dilemma continues to be that Western nations do not have the luxury of idly waiting around for this Malthusian catastrophe to happen. By that time, the proliferation of WMDs (be they nuclear, biological or chemical) will have given jihadists a proverbial foot-in-the-door that augurs devastating atrocities against Western targets.
Unbeknownst to many is that this same “Malthusian catastrophe” will arrive in the West (if anything) too soon enough. What few people fully appreciate is that the impressively productive output of Western farmlands has been achieved at a devastatingly high environmental price. GMO crops aside (a huge problem all by themselves), the constant use of ammonium nitrate fertilizers have both destroyed native soil microbial populations and, at the same time, created DEAD ZONES at the mouths of every major American river.
This runoff of surface-applied ammonium nitrate washes downstream and, upon reaching the ocean, feeds massive algal blooms whose bacterial decomposition deoxygenates the water and suffocates all aquatic life. See map: World Hypoxic and Eutrophic Coastal Areas
Note how the USA is girdled with these hypoxic and anoxic “dead zones”. This is the looming butcher’s bill from several decades of unbelievably productive bulk agriculture. It is also a cost burden that the USA had DAMN WELL BETTER LEARN TO LEVERAGE IN THE NEXT FIVE OR TEN YEARS.
America is about to pay the piper for well over half a century of incredible agricultural productivity. Between excessive application of ammonium nitrate fertilizers and severe depletion of surface or aquifer-based water resources, there is rapidly approaching a point where the USA’s bargaining chips will be food exports or (the application of) nuclear weapons—the two things that this nation currently has in abundance.

“Eutrophication [excessive richness of nutrients in a lake or other body of water, frequently due to runoff from the land, which causes a dense growth of plant life and death of animal life from lack of oxygen] stimulates an explosive growth of algae (algal blooms) that depletes the water of oxygen when the the [sic] algae die and are eaten by bacteria. Estuarine waters may become hypoxic (oxygen poor) or anoxic (completely depleted of oxygen) from algal blooms.”
Soon enough, Western countries will no longer have the convenience of maintaining whatever moral high ground (or virtue signaling) when it comes to avoiding the use of food exports as a weapon. While not as fast-acting as nuclear weapons, nutritional starvation has a timeline of mere weeks and is capable of instigating violent citizen rebellions (i.e., food riots) in very short order. There is little doubt that the overthrow of tyrannous and oppressive régimes may well require this sort of otherwise brutal trigger. After all, what other less-harsh alternatives are there?
Bearing this in mind, it is not just Muslims that use Western values of Liberty or Freedom (two entirely different things—as in “Liberties are Inherent” while “Freedoms are Granted“)—and “inalienable human rights” against us in America and the West.
Far too many “immigrant” populations game European and US legal systems as part of avoiding answerability with regard to genuine assimilation and legitimate, responsible, participation in whatever nation’s process of elected Democratic representation might pertain.
Once their own countries of origin (and residing family members) are subjected to the heretofore, artificially alleviated pressures of Water Poverty, Food Insecurity, strategic vulnerability, Islamic domination (or the countervailing military promise to eliminate that same Islamic threat), and whatever economic, trade, foreign aid or “digital” boycotts might otherwise prevail—then some sort of semi-rational cognizance might emerge.
Western nations no longer have the slightest elbow-room with respect to tolerating Islamic and Third World parasitism. Angela Merkel’s flagrant demonstration of purposefully defiling a modern, First World industrial country like Germany with over one million aggressively, hostile, and criminally-minded thugs is proof enough (even without the horrific object lesson of Sweden) that, regardless of size, no advanced Western population can hope to survive an unrestricted influx of Third World invaders.
That Muslim “no-go zones” now exist in America, Sweden, Britain, Holland, France, and (to whatever degree) in numerous other metropolitan global precincts all point towards the most harsh and inhuman outcomes. All of which is nothing that Islam would ever have contradicted. Go figure…
Food and water are the first of the resources shortages that we will be facing in the future, the wars for resources are about to begin, wars that will force everyone to decide who they are going to support. Their nation, their friends, their family or strangers from over seas. The left with their deliberate destruction of civilization has moved the time when those decisions have to be made to the near future. This time is when the military rule of 4, 4, 40 will be learned by all people. What this rule says is that on hte average man can live and work for 4 minutes with out air, 4 days without water and 40 days without food. We have all heard the rumors of cannibalism in the besieged cities in the middle east. There was much more during the cultural revolution in China and as the good crisis hits the areas of the world with marginal food growing land that must be carefully managed to maintain production of food, cannibalism will return to the attention of the world in a big way. This will also be the time when the terrorists, dictators hwo have them and eventually the Western worlds will use their WMDs to reduct the population of the enemy nations so they survive.
As I have said many times this war is a war of survival and not just the survival of freedom but in many cases the survival of families, clans, cultures and in some cases nations.

What I learned then was horrifying, not only about the number of chemicals and the extent they’re polluting our environment but also the death-grip that private industry has on the State and Federal government. Both political parties are involved and don’t want the situation to be publicized and brought to the attention of the people.
One of the few things I know about environmentalism, is that environment groups are bad for the environment.
The co-founder of Greenpeace is good at detailing that.
The EPA is also a disaster for rare species.
You are right the environmental movement is bad for the environment, and contrary to what is being taught these days it is technology that is the answer to the problem. The Industrialized wold with the high tech is the area of the world that has the cleanest air and water. I remember back in the 60s that things were so bad that the cities kept track of the number of people with lung problems that died every summer because of air pollution and how two rivers were so polluted they caught fire. All of the rivers were so bad that if you fished you couldn’t eat the fish from any river in the US. Now the only one that is a problem is the one Obama’s EPA spilled so much waste from an old mine into. Technology is what is cleaning up the environment in North America, and it is being done by private industry not by big government. The nations with command driven economies are the ones with the worst environmental problems.

Too right, mate! Just recently, I spent a few years attempting to help a group that sought to restore the population of California’s native plants (a truly worthy effort).
As in, California is home to thousands of unique species (e.g., redwoods or sequoias) that are found nowhere on earth. This state’s emergence from the ice age in a relatively unscathed condition makes it a showcase of evolutionary history that is unrivaled in the entire world.
Imagine how disturbing is was to hear this organization’s (Liberal Feminist) founder shrug off my concerns about well-documented “cherry-picking” of data by supposed, academic “climate scientists” (yes, those are sneer quotes).
She calmly replied that “climate change” was such an important issue that falsified data was an acceptable malfeasance if that could help steer public opinion.
For whatever reason, she remained rather quiet when I pointed out how the one single group on earth capable of overcoming the challenges of “climate change” was the professional scientific community.
(As in, “technology that is the answer to the problem”.)
I went on to tell her, this (the professional scientific community) was the one group of skilled innovators who are most offended and least tolerant of those who knowingly manipulate data. Angering them off was one of the surest ways of stalling all progress.
She went rather quiet after that. Several weeks later—after catching her in an OUTRIGHT LIE—I was terminated soon thereafter and have had the cold consolation of watching her foundation spiral into inactivity and community irrelevance.

Dr. Patrick Moore has major blood on his hands. After spending decades ensuring that Americans ignorantly conflated nuclear weapons with nuclear power generation, for this monumental shite to suddenly come out in favor of atomic energy is something worthy of capital punishment.
This piece of ambulatory excrement helped generate propaganda that effectively halted all further construction of fission-based nuclear reactors in the USA for decades.

Your example is a main reason why I oppose “Social Justice” (as yet—it seems—another Communist organ) and, instead, advocate for strict adherence to (American) Constitutional law. If, for any reason, this nation’s Constitutional doctrine proves to be inadequate, then let’s hold a Constitutional referendum and amend this miraculous document to better fit our times and needs.

American no longer enjoys the once-valuable benisons of a truly bipartisan political structure. Instead, we are now a one-party system of the almighty dollar and—speaking as a dyed-in-the-wool Capitalist—all of us are just that much poorer for it.
If a single glaring example is needed, I suggest the Federally accepted label of, “Generally Recognized as Safe”, that is being bandied about by Monsanto (evil personified) and other promoters of GMO crops.
How can anyone say such a thing when:
A.) There has been no independent, long term scientific testing of human (or primate) consumption of GMO crops. The meaningless “self-regulation” that currently exists might well become meaningful grounds for future executions should these lying bastards be caught out.
B.) How do you “recall” GMO pollen (or rhizomes) once acres of these plants have been introduced into the ambient environment? This inability alone justifies subjecting all GMO R&D to CEA (Controlled Environment Agriculture) until there is peer-reviewed and control-group testing that yields acceptable results.
Anything less is an affront to all moral and ethical standards.
A final example. The GMO corn strain called “Starlink” utilizes genetic recombination with bacillus thuringiensis—one of the most useful and widely employed organic pesticides around the world.
Monsanto’s corn is so loaded with bacillus thuringiensis such that just landing on a leaf of this plant will kill a monarch butterfly. We won’t even discuss how this “Roundup Ready” crop allows the killing of milkweed that has caused such a precipitous decline in the North American monarch butterfly population.
Some last questions: What happens when a male corn-borer beetle lands on a Starlink corn plant and survives? Far worse, what happens when a surviving male corn-borer beetle lands on a Starlink corn plant and encounters a female corn-borer beetle which also has survived?
How will the world then cope with a serious pest that is now resistant to bacillus thuringiensis?
For the sake of whatever millions or billions of dollars in profits, Monsanto has (essentially) promised that our world eventually will be cursed with a new strain of pest totally immune to one of the most economical and least toxic (to humans) organic pesticides.
Monsanto (and other GMO) executives all should have the possibility of capital punishment dangling over their heads like a sword of Damocles. These shortsighted and greedy bastards may well have compromised the global environment for the sake of “increasing shareholder value”.
May all of them rot in eternal hell.
World’s Most Important Graph” Update: UN Boosts Its Population Forecast for Africa in 2100 to 4,467,588,000
A few decades ago the world started losing interest in the global population explosion as most countries began to get their fertility under control. But in 2012, the United Nations revealed to the handful of people paying attention that it had severely underestimated the actual number of births in sub-Saharan Africa by trusting local government statistics. As African countries slowly became more competent at recording vital statistics, the UN discovered that its complacency about African population growth had been unwarranted. Fertility in Africa was declining far more slowly than had been assumed.
Then in 2015, the UN issued a new forecast revising its estimate for Africa up even higher.
And today the UN released its 2017 population prospects. (You can download the data here.)
The UN’s new 2017 forecast for the continent of Africa (including North Africa) in 2100 is, once again, higher: up 81 million from the last forecast to a new record of 4,468,000,000.
The UN says that the population of Sub-Saharan Africa in 1990 was 493,320,020, while in 2017 it is 1,022,664,451. By 2050, only 33 years from now, sub-Saharan Africa will have reached 2,167,651,879. And by 2100, it will be 4,001,755,801.
The UN’s 2100 estimates for individual countries’ populations sound like dystopian science fiction:

Now, obviously, those numbers are unlikely to happen. Either Africans will take up family planning or they will hit hard their Malthusian ceiling or they will move in massive numbers to other continents or some combination of the three.

There is a 4th that is as bad as the second, either natural plagues caused by poor sanitation of bio weapons thqt are used by terrorists that spread into Africa. If the plague gets loose in Africa the population is going to take a drastic drop and with terrorists playing around with chemical and bio weapons it is almost a certainty that one or more pandemics will sweep Africa and the rest of the Third World. This is a bigger worry then nuclear weapons, bio weapons are easier to build, easier to smuggle into the target nations and in the long run kill more people.

Sub-Saharan Africa is a pluperfect laboratory in terms of demonstrating the “The Resource Curse“, also known as “The paradox of plenty“.
Corruption, inappropriate diversion of resources, or undue intervention (for example, with famine relief) all tend to accelerate the destructive tailspin brought about by tribalism and the plethora of despotic régimes that dot the Sub-Saharan landscape.
Just as HIV/AIDS made its “species jump” in Africa, so will there be ample opportunities for EHF (Ebola Hemorrhagic Fever) and other devastating viruses to mutate naturally or be weaponized by low-budget military laboratories.
If the Rwanda genocide taught this world anything, it is that African populations will be among the very last to emerge from the era of slaughter and catastrophe that continue to characterize one of the most violent places on earth.

A futuristic vision of Big Brother out of control? No, it’s already getting underway in China, where the government is developing the Social Credit System (SCS) to rate the trustworthiness of its 1.3 billion citizens. The Chinese government is pitching the system as a desirable way to measure and enhance “trust” nationwide and to build a culture of “sincerity”. As the policy states, “It will forge a public opinion environment where keeping trust is glorious. It will strengthen sincerity in government affairs, commercial sincerity, social sincerity and the construction of judicial credibility.”
Others are less sanguine about its wider purpose. “It is very ambitious in both depth and scope, including scrutinising individual behaviour and what books people are reading. It’s Amazon’s consumer tracking with an Orwellian political twist,” is how Johan Lagerkvist, a Chinese internet specialist at the Swedish Institute of International Affairs, described the social credit system. Rogier Creemers, a post-doctoral scholar specialising in Chinese law and governance at the Van Vollenhoven Institute at Leiden University, who published a comprehensive translation of the plan, compared it to “Yelp reviews with the nanny state watching over your shoulder”.
For now, technically, participating in China’s Citizen Scores is voluntary. But by 2020 it will be mandatory. The behaviour of every single citizen and legal person (which includes every company or other entity)in China will be rated and ranked, whether they like it or not.

Obama and silicon valley want that for entire world, but they will not be able to do it. Because westerners have different culture, more individualistic culture.. On the other hand Chinese government will be able to do it. Different culture. Different history. Different people.. And the results could be very bad. For us.
Where is China going?
Last week the boss of all Beijing bosses told us exactly where the China was headed, and we were looking at it as a kind of a special show. Well, that was because politicians speak of doing something but do something else, or do nothing. Except that in China this hasn’t happened for many, many years. In China things announced are getting done. So where the China is heading?
PRC President Xi Jinping has said directly: China will be the leader on a continental scale by 2035 (he had in mind Asia, Europe and Africa). And in 2035, the year of the proclamation of the People’s Republic of China, it will become a global hegemon. Empty threats, you might think, looking at the relationship between the political declarations and the implementation of these announcements by the “leaders” in our own backyard. In the case of Xi Jinping and his team, however, we have to deal with people of vision who consistently realize their vision.
Can China achieve a position as a continental and global leader? Yes. Interestingly,it will come about as a result of completely different factors from the ones assumed by today’s observers burdened with stereotypes, superficial observations and hasty judgments.
Much of what Xi Jinping said during the three and a half hours of the opening speech of the XIX Congress of the Communist Party of China was taken by the West as a lethal rumble of offensive character. And it was supposed to appear that way. In fact, I think, China does not intend to carry out offensive activities, it does not want to be involved in the situations in which the United States is entangled. They do not intend to be a global gendarme that will divide the feuding parties in different corners of the world and will spend (loose) their money and risk their political and diplomatic capital. Oh no! On the one hand, China will be consecutively(but very, very quickly) shutting the world out, isolate it from China as much as it is necessary,and safe for China (because the trade have to continue). On the other hand, China will wait patiently for the effects of the chaos, decision-making impotence, lack of common vision shared by the international community. It will wait for all these things which are increasingly more and more widespread in the West.
By means completely unnoticed by the outside world, Chinese are building an integral system, whose nerve and spinal system is the Social Assessment/Credit System. Social Assessment/Credit System today is completely voluntary, but from 2020 onward will be mandatory for every natural and legal person registered in the PRC. This will be an ubiquitous control system, but at the same time, system of management — management of people, companies, everything. Paralel to this, there emerges a system — one can call it an idea which is instantly being put into life — of a non-cash turnover. Cash disappears from Chinese life to an unimaginable extent, extend almost unobservable in the West. I’m sure, no one has any reliable data about this fact.
At the same time China is growing stronger militarily. Only, this strengthening has a defensive rather then offensive character. By dominating weak neighbors (Kazakhstan, Russia), China is gaining a larger territorial buffer from the West. On the territory of this buffer the most savage battles can be played without any influence on the vital tissue of the state. In the east, China builds alliances and man-made islands, which become a defensive wall removed from the proper territory of the state. China places great emphasis on the fact that the entire armament of Chinese People’s Liberation Army is made in China. For what? Because in this way, it will be difficult for anyone to assess the real potential of Chinese weaponry.
Do you think that craziness of fattest boy in North Korea, Kim Jong-uun is only his own craziness? Perhaps, but perhaps it is a reference point for Asian, European and American strategists. Today it is loudly said in the United States that the effects of the DPRK’s nuclear development work and its means of delivery have been underestimated. The US Senate is seriously discussing the potential danger of the DPRK. And this is a small, poor state. China, not involved in any disarmament treaties since 1950s [did not ratified any] has been continuously working on the creation and development of all types of nuclear weapons (atomic, hydrogen, neutron). It is also known that they have missiles with parameters and ranges that neither the USA nor the Russia have. Russia and the USA do not have them because of subordination to disarmament agreements, but also as a result of unfavorable economic conditions.
China, closed in the shell of the Social Assessment/Credit System, detached from the global financial system, surrounded by a real military potential strengthened by the uncertainty of its true effectiveness, can create a kind of gigantic vehicle or an ark. This ark will provide peace to the People of China, and simple subordination to the rules will be the guarantor of such peace . People and organizations subordinated to the system will receive more from the state. For example they will get the things Xi Jinping announced, they will get housing and a space to work. People around the world love peace. They want predictability. For predictability they would give a lot. And for sure, they can live without small things, like the honest opinions. I remember it from the early years of my youth, in Poland. Adults were saying one thing in private conversation, and something completely different at work or in public. At that time these behaviors were already in decline, so that in 1980 they were put into a storage. At that time poeple did not benefited greatly from such behaviour . In the Chinese system, things will be different. Under Social Assessment/Credit System every aspect of human existence, not only on the personal level, but also in relation to the children, partners, parents, siblings, relatives and friends will depend on person’s submissive behaviours, on the extend of his adherence to the rules . And the authorities having relative peace within China will be able to more effectively “manage chaos” outside. The worse the things go for the countries outside of the PRC, the better for People’s China. Chinese society from behind the invisible wall (The Invisible Wall of China) will watch the turmoil in the world (if not for the XIX Congress, Las Vegas tragedy would be belabored in Chineese media from morning till night) and compare it to what it experiences at home. Even today, in big cities of China, robberies, kidnappings, attacks do not make much sense, the monitoring system (the future element of the Social Assessment/Credit System) allows to catch criminals with incredible efficiency and speed. And it will do it even faster and more effectively. One have add to this fixed incomes (available on cell phones or other appliances that will replace them in the future) the possibility of getting communal apartment, and so on, and so forth. Wonderland of universal happiness. And the international society in this vehicle, in this ark of peace and prosperity will see its salvation, a kind of heaven. Given the choice of instability, the chaos of democratic reality and calmless based on chinese principles and rules they will eagerly choose the later. Except that China, based on its own experiences as well as that of the USSR and the USA, will not seek to make its satellites happy. In September its central element was a satelite photo of the globe with Africa in the center. The photo was taken from NASA archives. Presently, the WeChat home screen displays a satelite image made by a Chinese satellite. In the center of this photo is……. China. A trifle, that no one would notice if the thing was not announced by the owner of WeChat, a business called Tencent. A trifle, but a significant trifle. Just like this photo, nearly no one noticed that the center of the world was constatnly moving in the direction of China.
Where is China headed?
Can someone stop this? Well, today China will have to trip over its own feet to actually slow down The Project, or even stop it. For who could do it from outside? And who would want to do it? The United States has its own problems. Russia has nothing to lose in the dispute with China. Europe is turning to the right and wants to be divided into small, but independent entities. Proud and weak.

CNN’s reporting on the Trump-Russia dossier has left out at least one crucial fact: the close ties between the network and the opposition research firm at the center of the dossier controversy.
CNN’s reporting on the dossier, led by justice correspondent Evan Perez, has been favorable to the firm, Fusion GPS, and hyped the dossier’s credibility. Left out of Perez’s reporting, which has relied largely on unnamed sources, is his personal closeness to Fusion GPS’ operatives. Fusion has repeatedly been described in Senate testimonies as a smear-for-hire operation that manufactures misleading or false media narratives for its clients.
Glenn Simpson, the Fusion co-founder most often associated with the dossier, is used to working on stories with Perez. As reporters at The Wall Street Journal, Perez and Simpson regularly co-authored stories on national security.
Another Fusion founder, Tom Catan, worked as a reporter for the Journal at the same time as Perez and Simpson. The third Fusion co-founder, Peter Fritsch, worked above Perez and Simpson as the senior national security editor.

There is a question that we all struggle with, and one that many people may find difficult to answer:
When does teaching the facts about Islam morph into becoming religious brainwashing, indoctrination, propaganda or evangelizing?
I don’t think many parents are opposed to teaching students about the history of Islam, its achievements, its failures, its struggles and even its victories — as long as these studies are taught accurately, without political or religious motive, and are not given favorable treatment over other major religions of the world.
Perhaps most of us can agree that this should be the educational standard for presenting the subject of Islam in the public schools. But does such a definition really work?
Even the most obvious attempt at evangelizing public school children into Islam can easily be explained away by some as giving students nothing more than the facts about Islam.
Muslims believe in the Five Pillars of Islam. That’s a fact. Islam preaches Allah is the one true God. That’s a fact. The Quran teaches that Muslims must accept Muhammad as God’s messenger and prophet. That’s also a fact.

Terrorism is booming in Europe — even though the European Union statistics say it is not. The EU’s statistics on terrorism, simply put, confuse the issue. They are a fairy-tale.
Since 9/11, in report after report, experts, ministers and public authorities have been saying the same thing: that in Europe (meaning the EU), Islamic terrorism is merely a marginal aberration. Nothing to be afraid of, and if you show too much interest in the matter you are probably on the far-right, aren’t you! Do you want to persecute the Muslims and make them the Jews of today’s Europe?
As experts always do when they want to shut down a debate, they turn to statistics, preferably European statistics. Since July 1, 1999 — the date of its inception — Europol (European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation) has regularly published an assessment of terrorism in the EU.

At the end of White House Chief of Staff John Kelly’s moving briefing about the four American Special Forces soldiers killed in Niger earlier in October, he took questions. The first was, “Why are we in Niger?”
The question was too narrow; it isn’t only Niger. Tens of thousands of American troops are deployed in more than 150 countries, working with America’s local partners to help them become better soldiers and meet their own threats. We are on every continent except Antarctica. While we are unlikely to ever know precisely who killed the four soldiers, what is happening in Niger is happening in all the countries of the second tier of Africa — volatile and insecure countries of mixed Christian, Muslim and traditional indigenous religions. American soldiers are there to help governments more effectively control their own territory and borders, reducing the likelihood of transnational jihad.

When in a recent column we speculated that the China is preparing to reveal its ambitions for global leadership we didn’t expect this to happen so soon. Yet, this week Chinese President Xi Jinping informed the 19th Congress of the ruling Communist Party that the People’s Republic was now ready to seek a more active presence in the international arena.
Three factors may have contributed to Xi’s decision to bring forward his world leadership bid.
The first concerns Xi’s desire to, ever so gingerly, build up his own status within the Chinese political system. He wants to be something more than his predecessors Hu Jintao, Hu Yaobang, Li Xiannian and Hua Guofeng were. Xi’s ambition is to surpass even Deng Xiaoping, the “strongman” who, many believe, made the new China possible. President Xi may not be able to aspire to the status that Mao Zedong, the father of the People’s Republic, attained; but he sure wants to get as near to it as possible.
Putting the Leader above the melee is of crucial importance in a system based on highly centralized command and control.
I fond of Amir Taheri.
I don’t know him personally, but I’ve followed him at Asharq Al-Awsat for years. That’s a Saudi-funded – but not excessively controlled – news outlet based in London. He’s an example of the brain drained out of Iran by the Twisted-Ragheads.

A rejected Pakistani asylum seeker who fled Germany after slashing the throat of his two-year-old daughter has been captured in Spain, police say.
Interpol assisted in the hunt for 33-year-old Sohail A, who police say murdered his child following a violent row with his wife at their home on the north German city of Hamburg last Monday.
UK police had been notified as a matter of urgency as Hamburg detectives thought he might have been making his way to England and might have relatives in the country.
After fleeing from Germany on Monday, there had been no trace of him until Spanish Police captured him in San Sebastián at lunchtime on Sunday.
He is now facing extradition back to Germany.
It comes after, Sohail A was left alone in his apartment with his daughter, Aeyesha, on Monday when her mother, Lubna, went to police to report her husband’ s violence – the third time she had done so.
She returned with officers to find her daughter murdered and no sign of her husband.
Sohail had remained in Germany six years after authorities rejected his asylum application.
Before being caught in Spain, he had last been seen making his way to Hamburg main railway station where express trains link up to a network that could have taken him anywhere on the continent.
The case has reignited the debate about Germany’s apparent lack of will to deport failed asylum seekers.
Thousands have been told they cannot stay but remain in the country using a variety of legal manouvres, including illness and false threats of violence awaiting them back in their homelands.
After the murder, it emerged that the victim’s family were on the radar of the authorities.
A spokesman for the local youth authority said: ‘The department had multiple contacts with the family. The security of the children was the main topic.’
Sohail A came from Pakistan into Germany on December 21, 2011, and applied for asylum.
But just a month later the application was rejected because the grounds for it were deemed ‘not believable’.
On July 11, 2012, the judicial authorities deemed the decision legal in law, paving the way for deportation. It never happened.
Just why he was allowed to remain in Germany is not clear,’ said the daily newspaper Bild in a report about the murder and aftermath.
It was while awaiting deportation that he came to know Lubna, married her and fathered Aeyesha with her.
In April this year he launched an emergency action at Hamburg’s Administrative Court to be allowed to stay on in the country.
According to media reports, the judge in the case was informed by police of violence against his wife, leading him to get the Youth Authorities involved instead of ordering his expulsion.
Bild reported that social workers reported back to the court that they did not foresee a ‘worsening’ of the family situation.

A television interview of a top Qatari official confessing the truth behind the origins of the war in Syria is going viral across Arabic social media during the same week a leaked top secret NSA document was published which confirms that the armed opposition in Syria was under the direct command of foreign governments from the early years of the conflict.
And according to a well-known Syria analyst and economic adviser with close contacts in the Syrian government, the explosive interview constitutes a high level “public admission to collusion and coordination between four countries to destabilize an independent state, [including] possible support for Nusra/al-Qaeda.” Importantly, “this admission will help build case for what Damascus sees as an attack on its security & sovereignty. It will form basis for compensation claims.”
As the war in Syria continues slowly winding down, it seems new source material comes out on an almost a weekly basis in the form of testimonials of top officials involved in destabilizing Syria, and even occasional leaked emails and documents which further detail covert regime change operations against the Assad government. Though much of this content serves to confirm what has already long been known by those who have never accepted the simplistic propaganda which has dominated mainstream media, details continue to fall in place, providing future historians with a clearer picture of the true nature of the war.
This process of clarity has been aided – as predicted – by the continued infighting among Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) former allies Saudi Arabia and Qatar, with each side accusing the other of funding Islamic State and al-Qaeda terrorists (ironically, both true). Increasingly, the world watches as more dirty laundry is aired and the GCC implodes after years of nearly all the gulf monarchies funding jihadist movements in places like Syria, Iraq, and Libya.
The top Qatari official is no less than former Prime Minister Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber al-Thani, who oversaw Syria operations on behalf of Qatar until 2013 (also as foreign minister), and is seen below with then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in this Jan. 2010 photo (as a reminder, Qatar’s 2022 World Cup Committee donated $500,000 to the Clinton Foundation in 2014).
In an interview with Qatari TV Wednesday, bin Jaber al-Thani revealed that his country, alongside Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and the United States, began shipping weapons to jihadists from the very moment events “first started” (in 2011).
Al-Thani even likened the covert operation to “hunting prey” – the prey being President Assad and his supporters – “prey” which he admits got away (as Assad is still in power; he used a Gulf Arabic dialect word, “al-sayda”, which implies hunting animals or prey for sport). Though Thani denied credible allegations of support for ISIS, the former prime minister’s words implied direct Gulf and US support for al-Qaeda in Syria (al-Nusra Front) from the earliest years of the war, and even said Qatar has “full documents” and records proving that the war was planned to effect regime change.
According to Zero Hedge’s translation, al-Thani said while acknowledging Gulf nations were arming jihadists in Syria with the approval and support of US and Turkey: “I don’t want to go into details but we have full documents about us taking charge [in Syria].” He claimed that both Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah (who reigned until his death in 2015) and the United States placed Qatar in a lead role concerning covert operations to execute the proxy war.
The former prime minister’s comments, while very revealing, were intended as a defense and excuse of Qatar’s support for terrorism, and as a critique of the US and Saudi Arabia for essentially leaving Qatar “holding the bag” in terms of the war against Assad. Al-Thani explained that Qatar continued its financing of armed insurgents in Syria while other countries eventually wound down large-scale support, which is why he lashed out at the US and the Saudis, who initially “were with us in the same trench.”
In a previous US television interview which was vastly underreported, al-Thani told Charlie Rose when asked about allegations of Qatar’s support for terrorism that, “in Syria, everybody did mistakes, including your country.” And said that when the war began in Syria, “all of use worked through two operation rooms: one in Jordan and one in Turkey.”
Below is the key section of Wednesday’s interview, translated and subtitled by @Walid970721. Zero Hedge has reviewed and confirmed the translation, however, as the original rush translator has acknowledged, al-Thani doesn’t say “lady” but “prey” [“al-sayda”]- as in both Assad and Syrians were being hunted by the outside countries.
[…]As is now well-known, the CIA was directly involved in leading regime change efforts in Syria with allied gulf partners, as leaked and declassified US intelligence memos confirm. The US government understood in real time that Gulf and West-supplied advanced weaponry was going to al-Qaeda and ISIS, despite official claims of arming so-called “moderate” rebels. For example, a leaked 2014 intelligence memo sent to Hillary Clinton acknowledged Qatari and Saudi support for ISIS.
The email stated in direct and unambiguous language that:
“the governments of Qatar and Saudi Arabia, which are providing clandestine financial and logistic support to ISIL and other radical Sunni groups in the region.”
Furthermore, one day before Prime Minister Thani’s interview, The Intercept released a new top-secret NSA document unearthed from leaked intelligence files provided by Edward Snowden which show in stunning clarity that the armed opposition in Syria was under the direct command of foreign governments from the early years of the war which has now claimed half a million lives.
The newly released NSA document confirms that a 2013 insurgent attack with advanced surface-to-surface rockets upon civilian areas of Damascus, including Damascus International Airport, was directly supplied and commanded by Saudi Arabia with full prior awareness of US intelligence. As the former Qatari prime minister now also confirms, both the Saudis and US government staffed “operations rooms” overseeing such heinous attacks during the time period of the 2013 Damascus airport attack.
No doubt there remains a massive trove of damning documentary evidence which will continue to trickle out in the coming months and years. At the very least, the continuing Qatari-Saudi diplomatic war will bear more fruit as each side builds a case against the other with charges of supporting terrorism. And as we can see from this latest Qatari TV interview, the United States itself will not be spared in this new open season of airing dirty laundry as old allies turn on each other.

President Trump unleashed a tweetstorm on Sunday about the investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election, praising Republican unity, rejecting claims of “collusion” and urging an investigation into Hillary Clinton’s possible links to Moscow.
“?Never seen such Republican ANGER & UNITY as I have concerning the lack of investigation on Clinton made Fake Dossier (now $12,000,000?), the Uranium to Russia deal, the 33,000 plus deleted Emails, the Comey fix and so much more,” he wrote on Twitter.

Trump’s twitter explosion comes as CNN reported that special counsel Robert Mueller, who’s investigating Russian interference in the election and any links to the Trump campaign, is expected to announce his first indictments in the case as soon as Monday. ?
?The president has called Russia’s involvement in the election a “hoax” and said the allegations his campaign colluded with Moscow were prompted by Democrats who were upset that he defeated Clinton.
In his tweets, he referenced new revelations about a dossier that contained unsubstantiated but salacious claims linking him to the Russians.
A Washington Post report last week said a lawyer working for Clinton’s campaign paid Fusion GPS to do opposition research on Trump that resulted in the dossier.
He also brought up the Uranium One deal, donations to the Clinton Foundation and the 33,000 emails missing from a private server she used when she was secretary of state.
Trump also railed about former FBI Director James Comey’s clearing Clinton of charges for using the server, after some Republicans questioned the timing of the announcement.
