It seems the Khadr family can’t stay out of the headlines. Joshua Boyle, the Canadian hostage held by terrorists in Pakistan along with his wife Caitlan Coleman and their three young children were rescued by Pakistani special forces.
Now, it turns out that Boyle was once married to Omar Khadr’s sister Zaynab. And, he’s refusing to board an American military plane because he fears that he will be arrested for his relationship to Zaynab.

Zaynab has never been charged for anything, much less for stuff related to terrorism.
Omar has (as far as I know, successfully) petitioned the courts to permit him unsupervised visits with – specifically – his sister Zaynab.
What exactly does her ex-husband know that makes him fear being charged with terrorist activities for simply having been married to her?
Think through the implications of this – ALL of them, please!!!

I have an idea. I think I’ll go hiking in Afghanistan. That’s it. Hiking. I truly need to go to Afghanistan and hike around the hills where I’m almost certain to get noticed by one or more of those dangerous scraggly-haired guys with the long-barrelled 1918 rifle that still shoots just fine. You know, the guys who have little bruises on their foreheads from praying to Allah for our absolute humiliating defeat and death? I just can’t get through life without going there immediately and getting some shots of the rare Afghan bearded mountain goat and the mighty Afghan hilltop plover.
Then, when I’m done with that I think I’ll go to Africa and see if I can hook up with Boko Haram and see if I can talk them into converting to Judaism. What could go wrong…? They’re just people like anybody else…

You know, honestly, since around the age of ten I have always thought that the road to starlettedom went straight through a guy exactly like Harvey Weinstein’s casting couch. I knew about it before I even knew what sex was. Like, duh… The Hollywood producer holds the keys to the door to stardom and fame and riches and has a long line of the most beautiful women in the world willing to do anything to get him to open that door. I can’t see that ever changing…
