2. Google Files Suit in U.S. Court To Block Enforcement of Canadian Global Takedown Order
Last month’s Supreme Court of Canada decision upholding a global takedown order requiring Google to remove search results on an international basis sparked widespread concern from civil liberties and digital rights groups who fear the implications for freedom of expression online (the case was celebrated by IP rights groups who now envision using Canada as the base for global takedowns). My initial post on the decision argued that the Court had failed to grapple with the elephant in the room, namely the broader implications of global takedowns and the likelihood of conflicts:
The Supreme Court of Canada did not address the broader implications of the decision, content to limit its reasoning to the need to address the harm being sustained by a Canadian company, the limited harm or burden to Google, and the ease with which potential conflicts could be addressed by adjusting the global takedown order. In doing so, it invites more global takedowns without requiring those seeking takedowns to identify potential conflicts or assess the implications in other countries.
The prospect of global conflicts has now come to the Equustek case with Google filing suit in a federal court in California asking the court to block enforcement the Canadian order on the grounds that it violates the U.S. constitution and federal laws.

President Trump on Wednesday said he would ban transgender people from any military service.
Trump made the announcement, which would represent a major shift in military policy, on Twitter. He said he had made the decision after consulting with “my generals and military experts.”
“After consultation with my Generals and military experts, please be advised that the United States Government will not accept or allow Transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. Military,” Trump tweeted.
“Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail. Thank you”

Last night I was invited again to do the monthly round up with Key Fritzy on Blogtalk radio. Of course, there is no way to do a monthly roundup in 2 hours. Too much happens now. But I was very lucky to get to the end of what I considered to be a biweekly round up. Also an Israeli blogger and podcaster, Gaddy Adleman, joined us at the end to correct and augment certain fine points on the Israeli security situation at Al Aqsa. To be clear, all need to be familiar with those events. It is most certainly our near future. If not the present.

To those who continue to be emotionally defending Islam in some misguided efforts, understand the simplest words of their doctrine such as …”war is deceit” (Hadith 4:269) and the fact that Islam specifically provides the coinage of jihad economies :

4 – This shows the true nature of Islam, this isn’t an enemy that we can defeat in one war and then go home and destroy our military, we are facing a hydra that has to have the necks cauterized to prevent new heads growing from those necks. As ISIS is defeated in the Iraq-Syria theater of operations they are moving operations to Libya, Europe, the Philippines and probably North America. You can pick any other region you want to include because they are an organization that is world wide. Also ISIS is just one head to the Islamic hydra, we have Iran as a second head really two heads since part of their government wants to bring about the end times and part wants to recreate the Persian Empire. Then we have Turkey where Erdogan is busy recreating the Ottoman Empire and then we have the big body of the monster the Moslem Brotherhood. If we can destroy the Brotherhood we won’t destroy the threat but we will cauterize many of the necks of the hydra.
The fact that our enemy is a hydra needs to be taught in the schools because we are facing a long term threat that will require our children and grandchildren to fight to maintain their freedom. Many of the useful idiots will refuse to accept this idea and will work to stop us fighting because they think they can buy peace and safety by surrendering to Islam and accepting second class citizenship. When reality slaps them in the face hard enough to wake them to the danger we will find that they will be willing to go further in the fight then most of us.
