  1. We are repeating history. Slow uprising. Civil war and eviction of Islam, once again.

    • That we are, we are also seeing moves to bring back the City State, this will destroy the nations state and will lead to a lot of small intercity wars, think Italy during the warring states era. What bother me about the destruction of the nation state is that the nation states were one of hte things that brought us out of the Dark Age, and the fact that this will make stopping wanna be dictators more difficult.

      • The idiot former mayor of London was just talking up city-states. That would’ve made him ‘_King_ Idiot-Mayor’.

        But that’s going to be the only solution in some areas. Too bad it’s a major setback for Western society.

        It’s how the Gulf States are structured. It’s the most stable form of government in tribal societies. Everyone’s your cousin, you submit or conspire. Peace in the hyena-pack, for what it’s worth.

        In Arab-occupied Judea-Samaria, the 8 hamulas – clans – are the real governing force. All the urban centers are identified with a major clan.

        They can be quite capable. The corrupt “Palestinian Authority” was always a Communist confection; it’s just a mechanism for theft. The Dwarf-Kinglet rules via Bedouin tribes who’ve sworn fealty to the Hashemites.

        They’re only loose, shifting alliances, but that’s consistent with their long history. Stability depends on constant negotiations within and between tribal chieftains.

        I bet some of the no-go-zones in European cities are run by clan hierarchies. If they’re the de facto leaders, they’ll become the “elected” politicians. Then all we have to do is convince ourselves we’ve still got democracy.
