4. Man threatened to ‘smash’ women with rock at Hippie Hollow, police say
AUSTIN – A Katy man allegedly threatened three women with a rock while at Hippie Hollow Park on Sunday, police say.
The arrest affidavit for Hamza Ahmad Manzoor, 24, states that around 1 p.m. June 18, an officer on bike patrol began following Manzoor and three other men after the officer became concerned the group may be harassing other park visitors. When Manzoor’s group approached a restroom in the park, the affidavit states the officer was approached by two witnesses who claimed they were harassed by a man in the group, later identified as Manzoor.
The officer noted in the affidavit that they continued to follow the group and heard Manzoor yelling at two women playing in the water, and that one woman was telling Manzoor and another person in his group to leave them alone. The affidavit states the officer saw Manzoor pick up a rock around the size of a 12-ounce can and say “I will [expletive] smash you!” while holding the rock over his head and moving toward the water.
