Belgian anti-terror troops have “neutralised” a suspect, reportedly wearing an explosives belt, who had set off a small explosion inside Brussel’s central train station.
The station and the adjacent historic downtown area, packed with tourists, was evacuated as police set up a security cordon at around 9pm local time, witnesses said.
“There was an accident at Central Station. There was an explosion around a person. That person was neutralised by the soldiers that were on the scene,” a police spokesman said.

Description of attacker. Thankfully, the reports don’t disclose the response time. It sounds like the luggage cart exploded perhaps to cause panic, and then the terrorist was perhaps going to detonate himself.
