1, Erdogan ups his hateful rhetoric and near jingoism on Europe.

Europe is no longer the center of democracy and human rights but it is one of Nazism and oppression, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an has said, accusing European leaders of being surrounded by far-right politicians.

“Europe has reached such a point. It’s finished; wasted away. But it will pay for it dearly, very dearly. All [the values] they have been defending for centuries have collapsed. I am clear on this. In the eyes of billions of people, Europe today is no longer the center of democracy, human rights and freedoms but it is one of oppression, violence and Nazism,” Erdo?an said at a rally in the western province of Bal?kesir on April 6.

He said Europe is a rotten continent. “Racist parties are twisting European leaders and governments around their fingers. Europe has nothing to tell us or the world.”

(Erdogan is using the classic marxist-Islamic linguistic deception. if Europe does not allow Islam to take over and impose itself on all europeans, they are Nazis. The current crop of commies use the same rhetorical trick)

2. Ottawa Metro article raises serious concerns about cell phones and privacy in Ottawa’s downtown.

(We are looking into one of the claims, that Stingrays, three of which have been reported to be operating in the downtown core of Ottawa, and all of which the RCMP and CSiIS have denied being responsible for, is able to implant malware on your phone)

The CBC reported this week the discovery of three IMSI catcher devices operating in the downtown area. The machines could potentially be used to intercept phone calls and texts.

The devices mimic cellphone towers and essentially fool mobile phones into connecting to them.

Nathan Freitas, is the director of the Guardian Project, an initiative that offers open-source tools to protect privacy. He’s also a fellow at the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University. He said the catchers are fairly easy to acquire and can be used to listen to calls, read texts and implant malware on mobile phones.

(Encrypting your phone and using apps like wire and Signal will stop man-in-the-middle attacks. but not stop any agency that has planted software on your phone that sends data entered to a 3rd party before it gets encrypted. This is what Wikileaks explained the CIA tools, which have leaked out to the greater world, actually do)

3. Vogue cover model ‘murdered’ for not wearing Islamic clothing

A stunning Vogue cover model has been murdered by Muslim extremists in Bangladesh because she didn’t wear Islamic clothing, her family says.

Rauda Athif, 21, a Muslim Maldivian woman who was featured on the cover of Vogue India in October, was a second-year student at Islami Bank Medical College in Rajshahi, Bangladesh. She was found hanged in her dorm room on March 29.

The Bangladesh government performed an autopsy and ruled her death a suicide. Rauda was buried Saturday.

4. This is a weird one.

A former left-winged Journalist specializing in Middle East, writing for left papers but also Deutsche Welle. He went so far to argue that executions by Hamas were “fair” and just. Somewhere around that time, “respectable” papers stopped printing his stuff. Then, he converted to Islam and has been a great fan of Erdogan since. Here he is harassing people at a marathon in Germany with an Erdogan poster till someone punches his clock, then the police arrest him. Thanks to Egri Nok for this stranger-than-fiction video.

Thank you Egri Nok, M., Wrath of Khan, Richard, Yucki, Sassy and a host of people who sent in work today.

It is getting weird out there.

You do like making understatements don’t you?

Keep your musket clean and your powder dry because it is going to get weirder, probably much weirder.

Too bad that Erdogan means this entirely differently than when us folks at Vlad Tepes say almost the same exact thing. The irony is dumbfounding. At day’s end, one must remember that Erdogan is speaking from an expert’s point of view.
