Trump admin may expand travel restrictions to more nations

[…]“But I want to say something very clearly, and this is going to be very disappointing to the people protesting the president and the people in Congress like Sen.  Schumer, who have attacked the president for his lawful and necessary action. The president’s powers here are beyond question. The president has the authority under the [Immigration and Nationality Act] section 8USC 1182F to suspend the entry of aliens into this country, and he has Article 2 foreign powers to also engage in conducting border control and immigration control into the country. Those powers are substantial. They represent the apex of the presidential authority. And so we are contemplating new and additional actions to ensure that the immigration is not a vehicle for admitting people into our country who are hostile to its nation and its values.”

  1. Ever since the 1950s the US Judiciary has been over stepping its bounds interfering in the powers of the other branches of Government and has gotten away with it. To the best of my knowledge this is the first time they have placed out national security at risk but it is far from the first time they have placed the safety of the citizens at risk. Their legislating from the bench (which is usurping the power of Congress) has many times subverted the will of the people as expressed through their elected representatives rarely corrects a wrong and even when it does it is illegal. The Judiciary are limited (or are suppose to be limited) to enforcing the laws according to the original intent of the law. If that original intent is a clear violation of the Constitution the Judges and rule it illegal but can’t aren’t suppose to rewrite the law.

This Judicial over reach is a form of tyranny that has been subverting our freedom and taking rights away from the States and the People for over 60 years. It is long past time for these unelected tyrants to be reined in and taught that they are as limited by the Constitution as the other Branches of the Government. The big problem in this fight is that the majority of the Legislatures will not provide the support that is necessary to remove the three Judges from the Bench and thus send a clear message to the rest of the Judiciary that the time of their tyranny is over and that they are bound by the law and limited by the Constitution.

    • The judiciary of the United States is the subtle corps of sappers and miners constantly working underground to undermine our Constitution from a co-ordinate of a general and special government to a general supreme one alone. This will lay all things at their feet. I will say, that “against this every man should raise his voice,” and, more, should uplift his arm.
