(Wanna bet this law won’t come into effect till after the election? And that this is a BS bit of legislation as you probably have to have papers to buy guns in Austria showing citizenship or something anyway. This is likely a paper tiger to get people not to vote for the man who was cheated out of the last election in Austria, Norbert Hofer, which is in fact why they are holding it again)

The Austrian government is set to amend the laws which govern the use and possession of firearms so that illegal immigrants and asylum seekers will no longer have access to purchasing them.

The new changes to the extant amendment to the Weapons Act, which was approved Thursday by the Internal Committee of the National Council prohibits asylum seekers and migrants living in Austria illegally from access to firearms. The bill, which will take effect in March of next year, also looks to manage the use of arms by security agencies and police, a press release from the government stated.

  1. Sounds like it’s time to bulldoze the Omar Ibn Elkhattab mosque.

    I suggest opening a (pork) sausage factory on the site, once it has been cleared.

    Better yet, just convert the intact building over to manufacturing pork sausage and make sure to leave all of the interior décor in place, right down to the prayer rugs. The butchers can wipe their boots on them at the end of each shift.

    This is the sort of message that American Muslims need to receive whenever they step an inch out of line.

    • I can see a few possible legal problems with this solution. Of course if events move the way I think they will in a few years it would be very possible.
