The Catholics: Pope Francis Warns Nations Not to Take in More Refugees Than They Can Assimilate
In an unusually nuanced discourse, Pope Francis has seemed to walk back earlier statements encouraging European nations to open their doors to migrants and refugees, suggesting that harboring unassimilated migrants can lead to a dangerous “ghettoization.”
During the short papal press conference on the return flight from Sweden to Rome Tuesday, the Pope expressed his belief that people’s hearts should be open to migrants and refugees, but that political authorities need to exercise prudence so as not to allow more migrants into the country than can be reasonably assimilated.
That is quite a distance from last year when he said if a Muslim attacked you for questioning his dogma, it was your fault.
Archbishop of Canterbury: Stop saying Islamic State has “nothing to do with Islam”
Claims that the atrocities of the Islamic State have “nothing to do with Islam” are harming efforts to confront and combat extremism, the Archbishop of Canterbury has insisted.
Religious leaders of all varieties must “stand up and take responsibility” for the actions of extremists who profess to follow their faith, the Most Rev Justin Welby said.
He argued that unless people recognise and attempt to understand the motivation of terrorists they will never be able to combat their ideology effectively.
These are reversals. And interestingly timed one might observe. Its like the world caught a Marxist flu for some decades and seems to be on the road to recovery.
However, “eternal vigilance” and all that, as Raegan said, “we are always one generation away from losing freedom”.
I guess that generation has to learn the hard way.
YES YES YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!
Does that answer your question?
President Trump is going to act as the little boy in the story who said, “But the Emperor isn’t wearing anything at all!”. At this very moment all the sucked-in, intimidated people of the world are going to see that naked Emperor at the same time and the reaction is going to be fantastic. This is The Battle of Midway. The top Jihadis at the Al Azhar University must be feeling a lot like General Tojo at this moment. Donald Trump is most definitely a miracle, supplied by God as a gift of grace to the human race. Sometimes we get lucky…
Yes!
Amen! Amen!
I also predict that the radical left is going to become a very unhip thing to be a part of in the near future. The Democrat/leftist idea that everybody must think and say the same thing or be ridiculed and ostracised is fascism, plain and simple. Good riddance to them…
The change of pope’s view may have also something to do with the fact that rank and file priests have the same view as majority of the population on Islam, migration and Muslims lack of integration. And views on Islam are not only expressed by many European Catholic priests but also by Catholic priests and nuns in Africa.
Good point! If I were a priest I would be going through the ceiling over the pope’s position on Islam. There’s a genocide against Christians being perpetrated by the Muslims and suddenly the new pope is pro-Muslim and doesn’t seem to care at all about the Christian genocide. I can’t think of anything that would make me angrier, come to think of it…
Like, how strange is it that the effing pope doesn’t care about genocide against Christians? Come on… This is ridiculous… Hello… He’s obviously an enemy sympathizer just like Barack HUSSEIN Obama…
People really need to be made aware of the prominent role that psychological and covert warfare played in Muhammad’s technique. Allah even boasts in the Quran about being the greatest deceiver in the universe. Imagine being “innocent” enough to believe in a god who boasts about what a great liar he is without thinking, “Are you lying now…?”.
The slaves for identity and security who prop up their elite worshipping wealth are just as harmful as slaves for honor and esteem propping up those using religion for power. Your life will be overcome to poverty..

Political animals reading the political winds. Neither is a man worthy of the post they hold, both are weak men who sway the way the political winds are blowing. Brixit and not The Donald are showing the way the political winds in the west are blowing, thus both come out to support what they think is the political movement of the present and future. The fact that this causes them to side with the believers and patriots is probably causing them much pain but they will accept that.
You may well be right about one or both of them being cynical political opportunists, but there could also be something else at work here – we are witnessing a (thank God, or Fate or whatever you prefer!) a paradigm shift. We see this in science where once a single revolutionary thinker looks at something in a fundamentally different way than his or her counterparts (for example, Einstein and relativity) those ideas seem to be expanded on and eventually adopted, and in can happen very rapidly. But one needs that key leader/pioneer.
Even in sports, think of the 3 minute mile – people at the time thought it was an impossibility (some magical barrier that couldn’t be traversed by humans) and runners would consistently fail to break under 4 minutes. This barrier held for a relatively long time, and then a single runner broke it and “suddenly” people who had not been previously able to do it, starting running under 4 minutes as well. So it was a psychological rather than hard, physical barrier. I wonder if we sometimes see the same sort of thing in cultural matters.
It is indeed a paradigm shift, one that started late last Century but it took time for the movement to build and become noticeable. This shift in thought patterns is because reality is slapping people and waking them up to the dangers of the Left and Islam. I place the left first because at the moment they are the greater threat although Islam can over take them at any moment.
With luck this shift in paradigm will be accompanied by scientific breakthroughs so we will no longer be limited to one planet in one solar system.
Sarah Palin was way ahead of the game.
This, from the NYT – of all places – in 2011:
…She made three interlocking points. First, that the United States is now governed by a “permanent political class,” drawn from both parties, that is increasingly cut off from the concerns of regular people. Second, that these Republicans and Democrats have allied with big business to mutual advantage to create what she called “corporate crony capitalism.” Third, that the real political divide in the United States may no longer be between friends and foes of Big Government, but between friends and foes of vast, remote, unaccountable institutions (both public and private).
In supporting her first point, about the permanent political class, she attacked both parties’ tendency to talk of spending cuts while spending more and more; to stoke public anxiety about a credit downgrade, but take a vacation anyway; to arrive in Washington of modest means and then somehow ride the gravy train to fabulous wealth. She observed that 7 of the 10 wealthiest counties in the United States happen to be suburbs of the nation’s capital.
Her second point, about money in politics, helped to explain the first. The permanent class stays in power because it positions itself between two deep troughs: the money spent by the government and the money spent by big companies to secure decisions from government that help them make more money.
“Do you want to know why nothing ever really gets done?” she said, referring to politicians. “It’s because there’s nothing in it for them. They’ve got a lot of mouths to feed — a lot of corporate lobbyists and a lot of special interests that are counting on them to keep the good times and the money rolling along.”
Because her party has agitated for the wholesale deregulation of money in politics and the unshackling of lobbyists, these will be heard in some quarters as sacrilegious words.
Ms. Palin’s third point was more striking still: in contrast to the sweeping paeans to capitalism and the free market delivered by the Republican presidential candidates whose ranks she has yet to join, she sought to make a distinction between good capitalists and bad ones. The good ones, in her telling, are those small businesses that take risks and sink and swim in the churning market; the bad ones are well-connected megacorporations that live off bailouts, dodge taxes and profit terrifically while creating no jobs.
[…]
The political conversation in the United States is paralyzed by a simplistic division of labor. Democrats protect that portion of human flourishing that is threatened by big money and enhanced by government action. Republicans protect that portion of human flourishing that is threatened by big government and enhanced by the free market.
What is seldom said is that human flourishing is a complex and delicate thing, and that we needn’t choose whether government or the market jeopardizes it more, because both can threaten it at the same time.
Ms. Palin may be hinting at a new political alignment that would pit a vigorous localism against a kind of national-global institutionalism.
On one side would be those Americans who believe in the power of vast, well-developed institutions like Goldman Sachs, the Teamsters Union, General Electric, Google and the U.S. Department of Education to make the world better. On the other side would be people who believe that power, whether public or private, becomes corrupt and unresponsive the more remote and more anonymous it becomes; they would press to live in self-contained, self-governing enclaves that bear the burden of their own prosperity.

Then again, in January of this year:
Sarah Palin, Rage Whisperer
DONALD J. TRUMP has made a shrewd bet. For the first time since he descended an escalator in Trump Tower last June to announce that this time, he really was running for president, he ceded control of his campaign message. He handed the Trump-bedecked podium over to Sarah Palin.
Mr. Trump’s bet: When the politician most fluent in American rage roars, the movement she gave voice to in the fall of 2008 will roar back today.
With his call to deport illegal immigrants, especially because Mexico sends us its “bad ones,” his proposal to bar Muslims from entering the country, his emphasis on the threats to lawful gun ownership and his promise to protect American goods and workers from China, Mr. Trump is riding the wave of anxiety that Ms. Palin first gave voice to as Senator John McCain’s running mate. Mr. Trump has now usurped and vastly expanded upon Ms. Palin’s constituency, but the connection between the two movements is undeniable.
[…]
Ms. Palin owned the resentment voters in the Republican Party. They became her cause. And when the campaign concluded, she became the poster politician for the Tea Party movement. She was its first star, and hers became a coveted endorsement. Ms. Palin typically picks candidates who are trying to unseat incumbents and more experienced politicians, an ironic development considering that she was selected as a running mate to reinforce Mr. McCain’s brand as a “maverick” — but a maverick who worked within the Senate and the Republican Party.
She has now turned the institutions in which he has proudly served into liabilities for the candidates running against her mama-grizzly-approved outsiders. The party bears some responsibility for her success. Our base has grown increasingly exasperated with Washington Republicans who, despite historic victories in the midterm elections of 2010 and 2014, seem incapable of reversing President Obama’s legislative agenda or asserting themselves in the country’s foreign policy debates.

RINOs better pay attention. And watch out for all the disenfranchised Democrats who voted for Trump. I can see DINOs on the horizon.
The noisy -but -feeble DNC is gathering under the leadership of a [another] hateful Black Moslem. He’s just a place-holder for the puppet-masters of the last one. They’re formidable, but they’re losing their charm.
You know, that “Holy Spirit” they keep on talking about? It has taken an incredibly long time to climb over those walls into these ivory towers of overlords.
To get even a hint that Islam is not exactly what it pretends to be. Or can this be cited as a miracle within the Church brought on by the Donald Effect? That men are now watching these traitorous cowards.
Roll out the Excorcisms…
“…a real evangelical exorcism school, which trains lay people as ‘exorcism consultants’ to ‘cure’ people who have allegedly been ‘possessed by demons’.”
…
“Believed to be the first of its kind in the Latin America, the school in Argentina is run by bespectacled 54-year-old Lutheran pastor Manuel Acuna.”
…
“‘The exorcism consultant will be able to determine where there is a case of a demonic presence, possession, oppression, obsession or a curse.'”

Argentina: Satan beware – exorcism school opens in Buenos Aires
I find it interesting but not at all comforting to watch the left deal with defeat. Like a general watching the enemy regroup from a hill top, we can discern some but not all maneuvers. Paid demonstration seems to have increased substantially. The demonization of alternative viewpoints has increased I think with renewed vigor, as evidenced by so many Trump supporter beatings and the arrest of the People’s Cube creator. More sinister I think is the creation of what seems to be false Hate Crimes to give the general population the idea that there exists an evil, dark extreme right element intent on attacking blacks, jews–any minority other than Christian whites. Canada’s capital, Ottawa, has scene a spike in swastika graffiti and defacement. These incidents are highly suspicious. Why does a rabbi not have security cameras? What other big event just ushered in a new era so to make these incidents conspicuous?
This is the last stand of the left, if they lose now it will take them about 100 or more years to regain enough power to come close to creating their one world socialist government. This is why they are working so hard to create a new narrative about how evil the right is and how only they the militant left can protect people from the right. This desperation of the left is why I keep predicting civil wars, The wars will be started by the left but will be won by the ordinary people refusing to allow anyone to take their freedom from them.
My brain wasn’t working right earlier or I would have seen this in the section I copies.
Is “anarchist” a form of leftist? When a leftist goes so far left, he falls off the edge, tumbles into a chaotic pit and disappears?
Maybe that’s where leftists will end up after the unpleasantness passes.
“Is “anarchist” a form of leftist?”
Anarchists are the leftists who think that they have to bring about total chaos before then can take over. In many wants most leftists have moved much closer to the anarchist positions in recent years. Trumps election has driven many leftists there because his election means that they will not be able to continue their destruction of the US without massive opposition. His VP pick showed that he is committed to restoring the rights that the left stole from us.
Like a general watching the enemy regroup from a hill top…
I’m keeping my eyes closed for just a little longer. I hear them, maybe they’ll settle down. Probably not, but let’s get our house in order. We’re done campaigning, we don’t have to respond to every outrage.
They’re boring, soon they’ll manufacture atrocities. And then they’ll make mistakes.
Maybe we’ll come at them so fast, so hard, they’ll go down like ninepins.
Maybe we’ll come at them so fast, so hard, they’ll go down like ninepins.
Most of them will fall easily but the real radicals, the anarchists and those close to joining the ranks of the anarchists won’t, they are the dangerous ones who will go underground and start terror and assassination campaigns. So far no terror and assassination campaign has changed any Western Government but they can and have persisted for years and at times decades using a support network that is available through the less radical leftists. It takes the support of about 3% of the population to ensure a long life to a terror campaign.
Anarchist makes me think of assassination and terror.
They don’t seem to have much of a platform, do they? Like the political counterpart of Critical Theory, they’re all about destruction without offering plausible alternatives. That makes them tools of monsters waiting in the wings.
Pope decries ‘virus’ of polarization over race, faith
VATICAN CITY (AP) — Pope Francis warned against what he called a “virus of polarization” and hostility in the world targeting people with different nationalities, races or beliefs, as he led a ceremony Saturday giving the Roman Catholic Church 17 new cardinals from six continents.
The consistory ceremony in St. Peter’s Basilica formally inducted the churchmen into the cardinals’ ranks.
Francis used his homily to caution the new “princes of the church,” as cardinals are sometimes called, to guard against animosity creeping into the church as well, saying “we are not immune from this.”
The pope spoke of “our pitiful hearts that tend to judge, divide, oppose and condemn” and cautioned somberly against those who “raise walls, build barriers and label people.”
Earlier this year, when asked about the plan by Donald Trump, then a Republican U.S. presidential candidate and now president-elect, to build a wall to keep Mexicans from entering the U.S., the pope replied that anyone advocating building walls isn’t a Christian.
In Saturday’s homily, Francis commented how “we see, for example, how quickly those among us with the status of the stranger, an immigrant, or a refugee, become a threat, take on the status of an enemy. An enemy because they come from a distant country, or have different customs.”
He added: “The virus of polarization and animosity permeates our way of thinking, feeling and acting,” the pope said.
Cardinals serve as papal advisers and someday elect popes’ successors. Popes look to cardinals who share their approach to the church’s mission in the world.
Indianapolis Archbishop Joseph Tobin is among the newly made cardinals. Tobin defied the governor of the U.S. state of Indiana, Mike Pence, by welcoming Syrian refugees. Tobin in January will become archbishop of Newark, New Jersey, while Pence will be installed as U.S. vice president.[…]

Pope decries ‘epidemic of animosity’ against immigrants and other faiths (reuters, Nov 19, 2016)
http://www.reuters.com/article/us-pope-cardinals-idUSKBN13E0HE
“Pope Francis on Saturday said an “epidemic of animosity” against people of other races or religions was hurting the weakest in society, striking a note of caution against the rise of populist nationalism.
Little more than a week after Donald Trump was elected the next U.S. president, buoying anti-immigrant parties in Europe and elsewhere, the pope noted “how quickly those among us with the status of a stranger, an immigrant or a refugee become a threat, take on the status of an enemy…
“An enemy because they come from a distant country or have different customs. An enemy because of the color of their skin, their language or their social class. An enemy because they think differently or even have a different faith,” he said at a ceremony to induct new cardinals.
While not naming any country, Francis appeared to refer to anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim attitudes that surfaced during the U.S. campaign and since the election…:”
I think that one must be vary of what Reuters and other media are writing. It may be that what the pope means differs from what Reuters says he is saying. Look at how MSM misrepresents what Trump or Palin are saying. So perhaps here they do the same.
Misrepresenting an industry built on the teaching of a man who sent disciples out in pairs with nothing but to teach repentance in order to see the kingdom of god is already here?
Can a man with his own guard of knives, who commands the joys of surrender to look forward to the kingdom of God on Judgement Day in order to bring to heel the sick; be any better than the feman Muhammad who commanded submission?
Better a murderer dressed in blood than a deceiver in perfume. For the one, when you look is immediately exposed as a fraud; the other acts as if butter would not melt in their mouth.
Never take anything the MSM reports at face value, they will always twist it to aid their political agenda.
Mexico: Worshippers bring Virgin of Guadalupe to Trump’s planned wall
Hundreds of people marched to the Mexico-US border in Tijuana, Saturday, carrying a statue of the Virgin of Guadalupe with them, in a peaceful effort to build bridges instead of walls between people and nations.
SOT, Ceremony instigator (Spanish): “Our idea was to come here precisely, to Tijuana, to bring a statue and leave it permanently next to the wall, which is a symbol of the border, and overall of the migrants, either those who flee or those who are deported by the US. So this is where the initiative of bringing the Virgin to these lands first grew. We went to talk to the archbishop.”
SOT, Ceremony instigator (Spanish): “[We want] the authorities to take these things into consideration so instead of raising walls, let’s make bridges of peace, love and compassion.”
>strong>MEMRI – London-Based Islamist Preacher: “Were All Trump”, America Founded on the Skulls of the indigenous people
London-based Egyptian preacher Hani Al-Sibai said in his Friday sermon that both Trump and Hillary were murderers.
Calling Obama a criminal, who “killed more Muslims with drones than George Bush,” Al-Sibai said that all U.S. presidents since George Washington were the same: “They are all Trump.”
According to Al-Sibai, America was established upon the skulls of the indigenous people, and the Americans are inspired by the Old Testament in their global wars.
They are “the exterminators of the human race,” he said in the sermon.
Delivered on November 11 and posted on his YouTube account on November 12.
Pope Francis is irrelevant and of no further use. Hopelessly compromised by his total amnesia about what “the church militant” has historically meant, his appeasement of Islam represents a high crime. That he is finally getting off of his beskirted @ss and making less conciliatory noises might well have something to do with hearing so many different Muslims perpetually squeal about how they “will pray to Allah in the Vatican .”
After all, anything that interferes with their continued ability to fart through silk is bound to get some attention from the Holy See. Move along folks, no big surprise here and nothing to get excited about. Let the Cardinal Electors go back to the drawing board and find someone who actually knows the difference between a skirt and a robe.
