  1. Immigrants addicted to gambling, alcohol and spending all their money in one day (express, Sep 27, 2016)
    http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/714784/immigrants-addicted-gambling-alcohol-spending-money-one-day

“ADDICTION experts in Germany are warning that refugees are becoming hopelessly hooked on gambling and are losing their subsistence money from taxpayers in ever increasing numbers.

Three German states have chosen to highlight the dark allure of betting – online, in turf accountants and at high street casinos – on a special day of action tomorrow to highlight the trend.

The states of Hesse, Lower Saxony and Thuringia are backing a new video in German, Turkish and Arabic warning of the dangers of gambling.

It warns of the dangers of gambling with images of ruination and despair for those who continue to have one flutter too many.

Martina Kuhnt, the gambling expert of the Lower Saxony Regional Office for Addiction Issues, said a “chronic” lack of money and hope of changing their lives with a big win was driving refugees into ever more “reckless” betting.

In addition, German betting offices and casinos traditionally offer free food and drink to gamblers, appealing to refugees who want a change of scene from their hostels and centres where there is often little to do.

According to experts, the refugees often group around a self-styled sports expert among their ranks who advises them on what to bet on and how high to make the stakes.

There are reports of some migrants blowing a month’s pocket money in a single day – sometimes even a single bet.

Addiction experts said they are finding it difficult to offer therapy to deal with the problem as the refugees often keep their debts a secret out of shame.

The gambling problem follows on from a massive spike in alcohol abuse among young migrants, particularly unaccompanied individuals. In their strict Muslim homelands, these young men had little or no experience of booze.

But in Germany, where it is legal to drink beer at 16, they are becoming increasingly probe to alcohol addiction and some are already in state programmes to wean them off the hard stuff.”

  2. BREAKING: Merkel backlash? Neo-Nazis behind two huge terror bombs at Dresden mosque (express, Sep 27, 2016)
    http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/714768/Breaking-Merkel-backlash-Nazis-blamed-huge-terror-bomb-Dresden-mosque

“GERMAN neo-Nazis were today the prime suspects behind two bombs targeted on a mosque in Dresden.

Germany is on high alert after two bombs were detonated in the eastern city of Dresden last night.

One went off outside the entrance to a local mosque, the other outside a congress hall. In both cases police spoke of “hate crimes.” No-one was hurt in the blasts.

The explosion was triggered around 10pm last night and also hit a nearby international congress building.

Police have for long warned that neo-Nazis in Germany have been forming themselves into well armed paramilitary cells; the fear now is that this may be the precursor of more right wing terror to come.

“Although so far noone has claimed responsibility, we believe a xenophobic motive lies behind these crimes,” said Dresden police chief Horst Kretzschmar…”

    • Germany: Homemade bomb attacks hit mosque and congress centre in Dresden

The Fatih Camii Mosque and an international congress centre were hit in separate bomb attacks in the city of Dresden, late on Monday. No one was hurt in the explosions, which police are investigating as connected xenophobic attacks.

The first explosion targeted the mosque at just before 22.00 local time while the second, at the congress centre, occurred around 20 minutes later. The charred exteriors of both buildings were seen on Tuesday morning as police arrived to begin their investigations. Officers say the explosions were caused by homemade devices.

SOT, Bacaru Mahmut, President of Mosque committee (German): “Yesterday, at around 21:55, a young man wearing a blue jacket and a bag came here, to our mosque. And he dropped a bomb here or whatever it was. Our imam called me and then I called, very quickly, the police and firefighter department. They arrived very quickly. A firefighter team extinguished the fire.”

      • There is a comment in another forum (in German) that says:

“Merkel would set the Reichstag (Parliament Building) in flame to hang on to power”

        The irony.

        • It may have been one of her supporters who set the fire so she won’t have to change the refugee policy.

            • Just found this at a German website:

              http://pi-news.net/wp/uploads/2016/09/antifa_dresden2.jpg

“Shortly after the phantom “right-wing violence” once again was summoned via Der Spiegel, came the two bombs that exploded in the night on Tuesday on the outdoor terrace of the Congress Center Dresden and ruined the door of Dresden Mosque, almost like to order.”

In the screenshot you can read:

              Title:

The first line of the paragraph says that ANTIFA was going to do everyone a favor/pleasure and celebrate the German Reunification Day (October 3rd)-with fireworks- early than planned at the ICC and a Muslim worship house.

    • Germany: Fire breaks out in a refugee shelter in Bedburg-Hau

A fire broke out at around 03:00 am local time (01:00 GMT) in a refugee shelter in Bedburg-Hau, Tuesday.

Rescue services arrived at the scene and brought the fire quickly under control. The fire is believed to have started in the common room. The around 50 occupants of the shelter, mostly male, had already left the building, apart from two men who were rescued from their rooms by the emergency services. One man was injured attempting to jump from a window to escape the fire.

  3. MERKEL’S PANIC: German leader calls for roll-out of anti-migrant pacts to save her skin (express, Sep 27, 2016)
    http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/714672/Angela-Merkel-German-Chancellor-new-EU-refugee-deals-Africa

“PANICKING Angela Merkel today called for a huge roll-out of migrant blocking deals in a desperate bid to save her skin with German voters.

The under-fire Chancellor said the European Union must strike deals with a raft of African countries to stop economic migrants from reaching the continent.

Her plea comes following disastrous election results for her Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party, which has taken a hammering over its open door asylum policy.

Mrs Merkel has significantly changed her tune since being dealt two electoral beatings at the hands of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, and now says it is critical “to prevent a repeat of the situation seen last summer”.

In a speech she hailed the EU’s deal with Turkey, under which all economic migrants are returned back across the Aegean Sea, as a perfect model to pursue with African countries like Egypt and Tunisia.

She also called for Brussels to lavish far more development aid on impoverished countries to prevent people from wanting to leave them for Europe in the first place.

The remarks are a far cry from her hubris last summer, when she flung open Europe’s doors to millions of migrants from Africa and the Middle East with her infamous ‘we can do it’ rallying cry.

Amid mounting criticism of her migration policies Mrs Merkel was initially defiant – deliberately repeating the controversial phrase – but under intense pressure she has recently ditched it…”

  4. ITALEXIT? Italians want to get rid of Schengen as trust for EU drops to ALL-TIME LOW (express, Sep 27, 2016)
    http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/714681/Italy-get-rid-Schengen-trust-EU-all-time-low

“THE number of Italians who trust the European Union (EU) has dropped to an all-time low as the majority want the Schengen free movement agreement to be scrapped.

Just 27 per cent trust EU institutions today, compared to 60 per cent in 2000 when Italy adopted the euro, and 30 per cent in recent years, a poll by Demetra has revealed.

And a measly 15 per cent of Italians think the Schengen Agreement should be maintained while 48 per cent think it would be wise for the Government to monitor the country’s borders.

The figures come as Prime Minister Matteo Renzi today announced a referendum on constitutional reform will be held on December 4.

He has promised to resign if voters reject his proposals to reduce the role of the upper house, the Senate, and rein in the powers of regional governments to bring in a “more stable and more simply country”.

His standing is not looking as strong as it was six months ago when he made the pledge.

But his distrust of the EU has filtered down to Italian citizens, the polls show.

Dissatisfaction with the bloc has been illustrated in a boost for Italian right-wing parties.

Within the anti-immigrant Lega Nord – Northern League – party, more than 70 per cent want national borders to be reinstated, while two thirds of centre-right party Forza Italia – whose former leader is ex-PM Silvio Berlusconi – want borders and 50 percent of those supporting the Eurosceptic Five Star Movement party .

Mr Renzi, 41, has issued the EU with an ultimatum over the migrant crisis which has seen hundreds of thousands enter Italy in the past year…”

    http://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-mideast-crisis-iraq-blast-idUKKCN11X0PL?rpc=401

“A suicide bomber detonated his explosive vest in a predominately Shi’ite Muslim district of Baghdad on Tuesday, killing at least nine people and wounding 30, police and medical sources said.

The blast targeted a commercial street in the eastern Baghdad al-Jadida area of the Iraqi capital, they said, adding that the death toll could climb further.

Islamic State has intensified bomb attacks in government-held areas of Iraq this year as it loses territory to U.S.-backed Iraqi government forces and Iranian-backed Shi’ite militias.

The ultra-hardline Sunni group claimed a truck bombing in July that killed at least 324 people in the Karrada shopping area of Baghdad – the deadliest single attack in Iraq since the U.S.-led invasion that toppled Saddam Hussein in 2003.

The group continues to control vast areas in northern and western Iraq, including the city of Mosul, captured in 2014.”

  6. Official: 13 Afghan Soldiers Killed in Taliban Attack (abcnews, Sep 27, 2016)

“An Afghan official says that at least 13 Afghan army soldiers were killed when a group of Taliban militants attacked their checkpoint in northern Kunduz province.

Mahmod Danish, spokesman for the provincial governor in Kunduz, said Tuesday that 15 soldiers were at the checkpoint, two of whom had links to the insurgents and facilitated the attack.

He says the attack took place on the outskirts of Kunduz city after midnight Monday. He says two of the soldiers joined the insurgents in attacking their colleagues.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid claimed responsibility for the attack. He says Taliban fighters overran the checkpoint, killing all the soldiers and seizing their weapons and ammunition.

In recent months, the Taliban have stepped up their attacks across the country against Afghan security forces.”

  7. Immigration to cause massive increase in benefit costs

A new study suggests that social welfare is under pressure in Austria because of the influx of migrants over the last year.

The Krone newspaper has reported on what it sees as the abuses of social welfare by migrants and refugees. They mentioned the example of a man who arrived with his wife and five children, who together receive €3,300 per month on benefits.

An unemployed migrant couple with 11 children who have lived in Vienna for years without working earned €5,200 per month in child benefits.

He was jailed for five years after fed-up migrants tipped off the authorities

King of the Calais Jungle: An Iraqi crime lord dubbed the ‘Godfather of traffickers’ made £364,500 a month smuggling migrants into Britain from France (file photo)

His personal fortune includes more than £1million made from charging migrants£4,500 a time to bring them to Britain, according to The Sun.

The money is said to have been funnelled through criminal ‘bankers’ in London’s Kurdish community and laundered under the guise of car washes and restaurants.

Jamal was also reported to be the ‘go-to’ guy for getting to the UK from other camps along the French coast, ferrying lorry loads of migrants at a rate of 80-a-month.

Police estimate the operation netted £4million this year alone – but that is feared to be the tip of the iceberg in a trade worth £3.5billion a year.

Jamal initially evaded detection by using trucks with cargoes of onions and cheese to transport migrants from French ports to Britain. The cargo foiled carbon dioxide detectors used to identify the breath of people hiding because it emits the same gas.

Ex-weightlifter Jamal was arrested following a dawn raid on the Grand Synthe camp near Dunkirk. Three French police officers were reportedly injured trying to detain him as migrants fought to stop the gangster being taken away.

He has since been jailed for five years.

Jamal’s gang was one of more than 200 busted by French authorities so far this year.

Prosecutor Amelle Le Sant said: ‘This man was earning an awful lot of money. We believe in excess of £1million.

‘We have passed on all the information we have in the case files to the authorities in London.

‘Our hope is they can track down members of the gang over there.’

Jamal is said to have used fake passports to travel to Britain for gang meetings and is thought to have been plotting to claim asylum in the UK so he could retire with his fortune.

  10. Germany: De Maiziere demands Muslims take a stand against terror attacks

German Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere called for Muslim organisations to take a stand against terror attacks, as he was speaking at the 10th anniversary of the Deutsche Islam Konferenz (German Islam Conference) in Berlin on Monday.

SOT, Thomas de Maiziere, German Interior Minister (German): “I often here statements such as ‘This has nothing to do with Islam’ and ‘Terrorists are not Muslims to me’. Yes this is true. If Muslims say these things for themselves, then I am pleased about this expression of a violent-free understanding of their own religion. I also understand when many Muslims say ‘Why do I actually always have to apologise for my belief, when others are abusing this belief and kill others? What does it have to do with me, why do I always have to apologise?’ I understand this. However from representatives of Islamic organisations I expect more in our discourse.”

SOT, Thomas de Maiziere, German Interior Minister (German): “Since the terror attack against Charlie Hebdo the perception of Islam has changed. I therefore think it wise, in the interest of both sides, to hold a more intensive and public security debate again in the future. To not have this dialogue, to not have it publicly, leads to more distance and distrust, rather than ensuring that the overwhelming majority of peaceful Muslims are not under suspicion in general. I would wish that the faithful would work on the violence monopoly, the violence potential of religions, instead of suppressing it and pushing it aside. This is also of vital interest to Muslim organisations.”

  12. Montreal Muslim school president was ‘devastated’ by feminist’s criticisms, slander trial hears

MONTREAL — Quebec’s long-running debate over secularism and the place of religious minorities moved into the courtroom Monday as a slander trial opened against an outspoken critic of Islamic fundamentalism.

A crowd of supporters, including two who arrived from France, filled the room to hear the case against Djemila Benhabib, who is being sued by a private Muslim school after she likened its teaching to the instruction received in terrorist training camps in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Benhabib, who was born in Ukraine but spent much of her childhood in Algeria, was invited on to a Montreal radio show in 2012 after writing a blog post about the Muslim School of Montreal.

Benhabib told 98.5 FM host Benoît Dutrizac that she was shocked by what she found on the school’s website.

Koranic verses being taught to children were “extremely violent” and “misogynistic,” she told Dutrizac in a recording played in the court. She said the school offers students “an indoctrination worthy of a military camp in Afghanistan or Pakistan.” The school, she said, “is creating fundamentalist activists who in a few years will be demanding accommodations and all sorts of bizarre things … We are an extremely long way from citizenship, from the values that belong to our society.”

Benhabib, who wrote a book in 2009 about her experience as a secular feminist fighting against fundamentalism, also denounced as “sexual apartheid” the school’s policy of imposing the Islamic headscarf as part of girls’ uniforms beginning in fifth grade. The school’s model, she said, is another society “where women walk behind men with their heads down, where children are obliged to recite Qur’anic verses and where men are probably going to commit honour crimes against their sisters.”

A second interview three weeks later came after Dutrizac said he had been the victim of a harassment campaign from Muslims complaining about the first interview. Benhabib did not back down, saying the school was “spreading a message of hatred.”

Ahmed Khebir, president of the board of the Muslim School of Montreal, told the court that when he listened to Benhabib’s first interview on the Internet, he couldn’t believe his ears.

“I was devastated, appalled, horrified, insulted and worried,” he said in response to questioning from the school’s lawyer, Julius Grey. “How was it possible that someone who had never set foot inside our school could make such damaging and insulting statements?”

He said the school follows the provincial curriculum with three additional hours a week of instruction in Arabic and Islam. Most of the school’s students go on to university, and none has ever joined the jihad in Syria or committed an honour crime, he said.

Khebir testified he has five daughters who have either graduated or are still attending the school, and only one chooses to wear the headscarf.

In the aftermath of the broadcast, he went to the school and found it in a state of panic, he said. Older students were worried the publicity would affect their chances of being accepted into college, he said, noting that many graduates have removed reference to the Muslim school from their CVs.

Security was increased at the school out of fear “some crazy person” would take Benhabib’s comments literally and attack the school, he said. Enrolment fluctuates but there are more than 200 students in the school, from kindergarten through high school. Khebir blamed a recent drop in enrolment in the high school on Benhabib’s comments.

The school is seeking $95,000 in damages, but Benhabib’s supporters said outside the court that the real objective is to silence a critic. “We are here because the words of Djemila Benhabib are very important for the women and young girls of the entire world,” said Michèle Vianès, president of the French feminist group Regards de femmes, who flew in from Lyon with another group member.

“If we disallow criticism on such a fundamental question to be expressed, is there really freedom of expression?”

Louise Mailloux, a secularism activist who heads a group raising money for Benhabib’s defence, said the trial opens a new phase in Quebec’s struggle with the accommodation of minority religions.

“A feminist activist for secularism is being brought before the courts. It’s as if they were trying to make it an offence to have an opinion,” Mailloux said.

Marc-André Nadon, Benhabib’s lawyer, said the defence will be that nothing she said was incorrect. “Freedom of expression is sufficiently broad and important to allow people to hold opinion and criticisms on subjects such as religion,” he said.

The trial before Quebec Superior Court Justice Carole Hallée is expected to last five days.

The horrific footage, which is believed to have been released by the terror group today, shows masked militants methodically firing into the back of their victims’ heads as they kneel in the sand.

Mass graves had already been dug in the sand for the men.

One of the men is seen in the video desperately pleading for his life before he is shot dead.

Many were made to show their ID badges – suggesting they could have been members of the Iraqi army.

The executed men were branded ‘kuffar’ by the ISIS thugs, meaning traitors.

The sequence of footage ends with a shot of around 50 men lying dead in a sandy trench.

USA today – Civilian deaths mount as Aleppo siege by Syrian forces advances

Syrian government forces advanced Tuesday on Aleppo’s old quarter, as the civilian death toll mounts in the ferocious siege to retake sections of the city from rebel groups.

Syrian state TV reported that the government captured several buildings in the old quarter, which is home to the Umayyad Mosque, a UNESCO world heritage site, the Associated Press reported.

Government troops also captured Farafra, a central-held rebel area of the city, state TV said.

Over the past week Aleppo has endured the worst aerial onslaught in the five years of Syria’s civil war, with more than 200 people killed and many buildings flattened.

[…]On Monday, British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson said last week’s attack on an aid convoy near Aleppo that killed at least 20 people would “constitute a war crime” if it was deliberate.

Samantha Power, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, accused Russia, an ally of Assad, of “barbarism” for its airstrikes on Aleppo during a U.N. Security Council emergency meeting on Sunday.

“Instead of helping get life-saving aid to civilians, Russia and Assad are bombing the humanitarian convoys, hospitals and first responders who are trying desperately to keep people alive,” she said.

China poses the biggest threat to the global economy as its debts soar, according to a leading economist.

Ken Rogoff, the former chief economist at the International Monetary Fund, said the country could suffer a calamitous slowdown – dragging the rest of the world down with it.

A so-called ‘hard landing’ in the world’s second biggest economy, where growth drops to dangerously low levels, would be a disaster for other countries including Britain.

China is the UK’s sixth biggest export market with sales of goods made in British factories to the People’s Republic jumping from £877million in 1998 to £15.5billion in 2014.

    • If Deutsche Bank fails it will take down a lot of stocks and banks around the world. The problem here is that if Merkel doesn’t bail out Deutsche Bank they will fail but if she does bail them out the fix will be temporary and may not work, I would have to look at their books to know if bailing them out with printing press money (no backing but the faith in the European Union) will do more harm then good.

China is the Deutsche Bank on steroids. The Chinese government owns a significant share of all of the banks thus their bad debt is the governments bad debt. A lot of this was loans to high ranking party members that sent the money and their heirs to western nations and China has no chance of getting any of it back. China collapsing will bring down the worlds economy.

If either of the two bankruptcies occurs the worlds economy crashes. Now think about what the welfare class in all western nations are going to do when the money stops coming from the government. And it will not be just the local welfare classes that are taking to the streets demanding the money they have been taught is their right it will also be the Moslem invaders.

Socialism around the world has run out of other peoples money to spend and the entire world is facing major problems because of this. The left wants chaos and turmoil so they can take over and rebuild society the way they want but they are not thinking about the big question will the leftists survive the turmoil in enough numbers to do anything?

        • Yeah, but by the time they take to the streets everyone one else will be ready to defend what little they have. The rich will have lost a lot and some of them will be poor for the first time in their lives.

        • I thought that was the goal – civil war.

Once the free loaders stop receiving their “all-inclusive” packages – it will be chaos. And as you know from the Hegelian dialectic- Problem, Reaction, Solution – Order will be brought out of the chaos.

I´m guessing part of the “solution” will be chipping the population – think of Venezuela…
“Patrons will register with their fingerprints, and the new ID card will be linked to a computer system that monitors purchases.”

          • Their goal is civil war so they can destroy all signs of the old nation and institute a new socialist/communist government. I doubt their plans have changed much since the 1960s so this will include the death of around 25% of the population of all nations. All police, military officers and NCOs, all teachers and non left wing politicians. with a large number of collage graduates put in “re-education camps”. If you are on the above list you might as well fight because not resisting will gain you nothing.

  17. Syrian government launches Aleppo ground attack

BEIRUT (Reuters) – Syrian government forces and their allies attacked the opposition-held sector of Aleppo on several fronts on Tuesday, the biggest ground assault yet in a massive new military campaign that has destroyed a U.S.-backed ceasefire.

The United States says the assault on Aleppo is proof that President Bashar al-Assad and his Russian and regional allies have abandoned an international peace process to pursue victory on the battlefield after nearly six years of civil war.

Washington, which agreed a ceasefire with Russia this month that collapsed after a week, says Moscow and Damascus are guilty of “barbarism” and war crimes for targeting civilians, health workers and aid deliveries in air strikes.

More than 250,000 civilians are believed to be trapped inside the besieged rebel-held sector of Aleppo, where intensive bombing over the past week has killed hundreds of people, many trapped under buildings brought down by bunker-busting bombs.

  18. Charlotte protesters demand mayor’s resignation over black man’s slaying

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Reuters) – Dozens of protesters took their fight for racial equality in policing to the heart of Charlotte’s power structure on Monday, demanding the resignations of the mayor, police chief, and lawmakers in the wake of the police slaying of a black man.

Residents and activists, many of whom have participated in street demonstrations every day since the death of Keith Scott on Tuesday, spoke at a packed city council meeting of frustrations with racial discrimination in the North Carolina city of about 792,800 residents.

Many speakers said city officials were responsible for ensuring police officers treat everyone fairly, and called on Mayor Jennifer Roberts, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Kerr Putney, and members of the city council to resign.

“If you can’t do your job, let’s find someone who can,” said Darcel Chandler, an attorney.

“We can’t choose who we want the laws to apply to.”

Richard: Once again facts don’t matter, the dead man had a Cold Mustang II (.380 semi auto) in his hands when he was shot. The pistol has his blood and DNA on it. Also the pistol was stolen and wasn’t purchased at a gun store.

  19. FBI chief: ‘No evidence’ Clinton aide Cheryl Mills committed a crime

The FBI did not find evidence that Cheryl Mills broke the law in relation to Hillary Clinton’s personal email server, FBI Director James Comey said Tuesday.

“We have no evidence to establish that she committed a crime,” Comey told the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.

Mills, who was chief of staff while Clinton served as secretary of State, was granted “active production immunity” that prevents the Department of Justice (DOJ) from prosecuting her for anything found on a laptop she turned over to the FBI, Comey said.

Comey called the Justice Department letter a “fairly common tool in criminal investigations.”

“The FBI’s judgment was, ‘We need to get to that laptop. We need to see what it is,’” he said. Negotiating with Mills’s lawyers to obtain it, he said, was the most efficient way to get access to the computer.

Republicans on the House Oversight Committee on Friday revealed the existence of the immunity deal, discovered during their probe into whether emails from Clinton’s server were deleted while under congressional subpoena.

Mills and Heather Samuelson, who were acting as Clinton’s attorneys, turned over their computers to the FBI as it looked into how Clinton handled classified information on her server. Investigators ultimately recommended no criminal charges against Clinton.

The aides had used their laptops to sort out what they believed to be Clinton’s personal emails before turning over the remainder of her work emails to the State Department in December 2014.

A lawyer for Mills and Samuelson said in a statement that she advised them to take the deal “because of the confusion surrounding the various agencies’ positions on the after-the-fact classification decisions.”

“As the government indicated in these letters, the DOJ and FBI considered my clients to be witnesses and nothing more. Indeed, the Justice Department assured us that they believed my clients did nothing wrong,” Beth Wilkinson said Friday.

  20. Singapore accuses Chinese paper of fabricating South China Sea story

BEIJING (Reuters) – Singapore’s ambassador to China on Tuesday accused a major state-run Chinese newspaper of fabricating a report about Singapore’s position on the South China Sea, but the paper stuck by its story.

The Global Times said on Sept. 21 that at a summit of the Non-Aligned Movement in Venezuela, Singapore had raised the issue of the disputed waterway and an international tribunal’s ruling in favor of the Philippines in a case it lodged against Chinese claims.

The influential tabloid, published by the ruling Communist Party’s official People’s Daily, said Singapore’s attempt was foiled by the opposition of “many” other countries.

The paper cited an unidentified “person in the know”.

Stanley Loh, Singapore’s ambassador in Beijing, said in the letter to the paper’s editor in chief Hu Xijin that the actions and words attributed to Singapore in the article were “false and unfounded”.

“Contrary to the claim fabricated by the Global Times, the Singapore delegation did not raise the South China Sea or the tribunal ruling at the NAM Summit,” he said.

    http://www.oann.com/singapore-accuses-chinese-paper-of-fabricating-south-china-sea-story/

    • China is laying the groundwork to make a move against Singapore, hopefully they will wait until the new President is sworn in and if it is Trump will decide not to act. The problem is that events have moved to the point where China and others may find it hard to wait until we get another weak President.

      • Singapore has various air assets in other countries; I wonder if they will be called back for Homeland defense at some point. But they would be fighting a superpower, and it wouldn’t take long to take them.

        • No it won’t, that is why they have joined in alliance with Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, Nam and India. I know that I am missing some of the members of the alliance.

Of that group India is the only one with a large enough Navy to delay China for a while. But if they can keep a large portion of all of the Navies together then stand a decent chance of winning. This is why China is trying to create a situation where the rest of the alliance won’t fight for one of the others. They and the US can’t let China knock off the Asian nations in the Far East one at a time. The situtation is such that Japan is busy building an Army and Navy that is quite large and working to modify their constitution so they can project power beyond their home waters. This fact alone should worry a lot of people.

  22. French towns divided over taking in Calais migrants (thelocal, Sep 27, 2016)
    https://www.thelocal.fr/20160927/french-towns-divided-over-whether-to-take-calais-migrants

“France plans to move the 10,000 migrants camped out in Calais to centres around the country but while many will be welcomed in towns and villages, some local mayors are refusing to open their doors.

The French president François Hollande has vowed to tear down the infamous “Jungle” camp of Calais by the end of the year.

He has finally bowed to pressure to find a solution to the squalid camp that has ballooned in size in recent months and is now home to some 10,000 migrants.

Hollande and his government’s solution is to rehouse the migrants in 164 official reception centres around France “before winter”.

But the chances of his plan B being a success may depend on the welcome these migrants receive in the small towns that will become their new homes.

Plans to relocate the Calais migrants have sparked controversy and protests, with residents in some parts of the country vehemently opposed to taking them in.

Several hundred people demonstrated at the weekend in Versailles, west of Paris, against plans to move a group of migrants there.

Many local mayors accept they have to show solidarity with Calais and open their doors to asylum seekers.

One of those towns is Bohain-en-Vermandois in northern France.

“We have a duty of solidarity with Calais and a humanitarian duty,” said the town’s mayor Jean-Louis Bricout, who recently announced plans to accommodate refugees in two buildings.

The town had made it clear back in 2015 that it was willing to accept refugees, but despite the huge numbers in Calais, none were sent their way.

Another town willing to take in refugees is Hirson, also in northern France.

Wary of opposition from a number of locals the mayor Jean-Jacques Thomas invited the head of the local hospital’s emergency ward to a council meeting to help tackle some of the misconceptions around refugees. The hospital manager was a Syrian national.

“He hasn’t raped or killed anyone,” said the mayor. “In fact he has helped save the lives of several people.”

Following his appearance the council voted to welcome six young Afghan refugees.

The mayor of Bordeaux Alain Juppé, who is the favourite to become the centre-right nominee for next year’s presidential elections, has agreed to look around his city for potential lodgings for asylum seekers.

But not everywhere in France is willing to take in refugees while their requests for asylum are processed.

In Ares, a town near Juppé’s Bordeaux, the mayor held a council meeting on Friday which saw the locally elected officials vote against welcoming any migrants or asylum seekers in town.

It was a symbolic vote because the local prefect will have the final decision on whether the town welcomes the migrants.

According to a report in 20 Minutes newspaper, many of the locals seemed to agree with the council’s decision.

“It’s a question of security for my children. It’s peaceful here and I don’t want it to change,” one mother named Laura told the newspaper.

“It’s not a question of racism, it’s just scary when we see what has happened in Calais. Sometimes you just have to take extreme decisions,” she added.

Other locals spoke of being willing to accept families with women and children, but not single men.

“What are they going to do all day?” said one elderly resident.

While it’s clear the French government faces a stern test to convince towns around France to help relieve the pressure on Calais, it also faces another challenge: making sure the refugees and migrants stay where they are housed.

Aid groups working in Calais say so many of those refugees who have already been sent to the four corners of France simply end up returning.

Anne-Liese Coury, head of operations for Medecins sans Frontieres in Calais told The Local recently that in principle the idea of spreading out the migrants in asylum centres around the country is the right one, but the lack of resources or support means they often end up back in Calais.

“They find themselves in a department of France where there are no real translators. They can end up far from a town and the administrative offices they need,” said Coury.

“They may be also far from places where they can learn French or far from members of their community,” she added. “And they end up just deciding to go back to Calais.”

The government is staking a great deal on its plan and with presidential and parliamentary elections around the corner it is running out of time to make it work.”

    • I am glad they are preparing for the coming civil war and seem to be training to fight the Moslems and not the French. Now if the rest of the Western European nations would do the same.

The number of unemployed in mainland France grew by over 50,000, or 1.4 percent, to 3.56 million, according to the labour ministry.

The rise was the biggest in a single month since January 2013 and follows on a slight decrease in July.

  24. More than 800 attacks on German politicians so far this year (DW, Sep 27, 2016)
    http://www.dw.com/en/more-than-800-attacks-on-german-politicians-so-far-this-year/a-35908838

“The German government has released statistics that reveal the extent of politically motivated attacks on public servants, mainly by right-wing extremists. Local politicians are often most vulnerable.

“I have been physically attacked, there were threats of murder and violence, with people saying things like ‘shot to the head’ or ‘we’re going to get you.'” For months now, this has been the bitter reality for Jürgen Kasek, the head of the Green party in the state of Saxony. Speaking with DW, he related how insulting billboards were hung by the motorway, his law firm’s signs were vandalized, and negative reviews about him were spread on the internet. The worst, he says, was when his parents were threatened with an arson attack on their home.

Many other politicians at the local, state, and federal levels have had experiences similar to Kasek’s, regardless of their party affiliation. The proof is in the police files: Politicians are routinely spat on, pushed, kicked, or pelted with objects. Investigators now have the statistics to prove how certain groups within the population are becoming more and more radical.

    Shocking figures

The statistics were compiled by the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) for the Interior Ministry. And they tell a shocking story: Since the start of the year, there have been more than 800 attacks on public servants, including 18 direct physical assaults.

As a rule, politicians are not normally singled out as a victim category in crime statistics. But a spokeswoman for the BKA said that charges were increasingly being filed in connection with clashes centering on Germany’s refugee policy. For the first time, it was possible to document the hatred…”

    http://www.dw.com/en/conference-on-islam-between-dialogue-and-estrangement/a-35887717

“Germany’s Conference on Islam is marking its 10th year. It aims to increase understanding between Muslims and German authorities. Critics, however, have called it misguided and point to heightened tension across Europe.

Initiated in 2006 by Wolfgang Schäuble, then Germany’s interior minister, the German Conference on Islam (DIK) was intended to be an open, unbiased, goal-oriented dialog – a platform for better understanding between Muslims and representatives of the Federal Republic, the states and the local authorities. “Islam is part of Germany, and it is part of Europe; it is part of our present, and it is part of our future,” said Schäuble, at the opening of the Conference.

On Tuesday, the DIK will celebrate its 10-year anniversary with a ceremony in Berlin. However, the federal chairman of the Kurdish community in Germany, Ali Ertan Toprak, finds it painful to look back on the past 10 years. He believes that the Conference has failed. Instead of rapprochement, Toprak says, what we see is that “despite the Conference on Islam, estrangement is significantly greater, particularly over the questions of a common value system and loyalty to the German state.”

Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere, the current host of the Conference, sees things differently. His verdict is a positive one. “We’ve achieved a lot,” he says, pointing out that the Conference on Islam has always been an “initiator” and a “guarantee of tangible results.” He sees the introduction of Islamic religious education in schools and the creation of professorships in Islamic theology at universities as two prominent examples of this….”

  29. Immigration to cause massive increase in benefit costs (thelocal, Sep 27, 2016)
    https://www.thelocal.at/20160927/immigration-to-cause-massive-increase-in-benefit-costs

“A new study suggests that social welfare is under pressure in Austria because of the influx of migrants over the last year.

The Austrian weekly magazine Profil reports that instead of leading people out of poverty and social decline, many people on social welfare slip into it more deeply according to a recent study.

The news magazine writes that migrants are the main factor for the increase in the number of long-term guaranteed minimum income recipients.

The magazine reports on a comprehensive study by the Austrian Institute of Economic Research, which was commissioned by the city of Vienna.

The study reports that two-thirds of recipients were dependent on social benefits for more than 13 consecutive months. Only nine percent had made it into permanent employment.

A forecast for 2017 results in an increase of 35 percent in social benefits since 2014, the year before the outbreak of the refugee crisis. Without the newly arrived migrants the raise in social benefits would only be 15 percent according to the institute.

The study writes: “The prospects of employment for migrants are particularly unfavourable.”

According to Krone, benefits are also being claimed for refurbishing furniture, the security deposit for rental apartments, and a building subsidy for new homes.

The city councillor responsible for social welfare, Sonja Wehsely, said she is prepared to make a compromise. “One can ask the question which integration services must be adopted in order to receive the full guaranteed income… New answers must be found.”

Politicians in Vienna and across Austria are currently discussing an overhaul of social benefits…”

“Hundreds” of refugees and asylum-seekers find themselves living in “degrading conditions” along Hungary’s southern border “or in overcrowded centres in Serbia”, Amnesty International said in a statement on Tuesday.

In particular, the human rights watchdog denounced the “horrible treatment” reserved for asylum seekers by Budapest.

The situation is the result of the ‘barrier’ created last September along the border with Serbia and then extended to Croatia, and of “a law providing for only a summary examination of asylum requests”. So-called ‘transit areas’ – metal containers – have been opened at two border posts for examining asylum requests and only 30 people are allowed through them each day. During an inspection Amnesty found “over 600 people living in improvised camps, and in many cases they had been there for months”.”

    http://english.ahram.org.eg/NewsContent/2/8/244773/World/Region/Tunisia-top-clerics-call-to-end-strikes-stirs-outr.aspx

“An appeal from Tunisia’s highest religious authority for workers to end strikes and protests and save the country’s ailing economy stirred outrage on Tuesday.

Grand Mufti Othman Battikh on Monday called on Tunisians to “dedicate all their efforts to working and studying” and to “abandon untimely protests and sit-ins hindering work and production”.

His remarks came after Tunisia said on Friday that British energy firm Petrofac was to resume operations at a gas plant in the country after a labour dispute was resolved that had halted work for months.

Authorities have struggled to redress Tunisia’s economy and solve youth unemployment — particularly among new graduates — since the 2011 revolt that toppled longtime dictator Zine El Abidine Ben Ali.

The powerful UGTT labour union said it was surprised by the cleric’s labelling the “legitimate demands” of workers as “haram” or “halal”, meaning forbidden or permissible in Islam.

The Tunisian Forum for Economic and Political Rights, an NGO, criticised the mufti’s “interference” and called on the presidency to “assume its responsibilities in defending the constitution, which guarantees… civil and political liberties”.

Tunisians on social media asked why the mufti had not condemned widespread corruption as “haram” instead…”

“Turkey has dismissed 87 staff from its spy agency over alleged links to the failed July 15 coup, state media said Tuesday, in the first purge of one of the country’s most powerful institutions.

The National Intelligence Organisation (MIT) has suspended 141 personnel in an internal probe over links to US-based preacher Fethullah Gulen who Ankara alleges was behind the coup.

Of these, 87 have now been expelled, the Anadolu news agency said. Criminal complaints have been lodged against 52 of them, it added.

In a separate development, Turkish police detained 41 suspects from a charity organisation called Kimse Yok Mu? (Is There Anyone There?) for alleged links to Gulen, Anadolu news agency reported.

Turkey has fired tens of thousands of people from state institutions following the attempted putsch but this was the first announcement of dismissals from the powerful spy agency.

Turkey’s secret service was widely criticised for not warning authorities about the coup bid and the government has acknowledged a vacuum in gathering intelligence.

  37. Jihadists Target Spain
“The actions of your ancestors are the reason for our actions today.”

    by Soeren Kern
    September 27, 2016 at 5:00 am

Islamic militants are stepping up a propaganda war against Spain. In recent months, Islamic State and other jihadist groups have produced a flurry of videos and documents calling on Muslims to reconquer al-Andalus.

Al-Andalus is the Arabic name given to those parts of Spain, Portugal and France occupied by Muslim conquerors (also known as the Moors) from 711 to 1492. Many Muslims believe that territories Muslims lost during the Christian Reconquest of Spain still belong to the realm of Islam. They claim that Islamic law gives them the right to re-establish Muslim rule there.

A recent Islamic State document includes a list of grievances against Spain for wrongs done to Muslims since the Battle of Las Navas de Tolosa on July 16, 1212, when the Christian forces of King Alfonso VIII of Castile routed the Almohad Muslim rulers of the southern half of the Iberian Peninsula. More than 100,000 Muslims were killed in the battle, which was a key victory in the Catholic Monarchs’ “Reconquista” of Spain.

The document said that since the establishment of the Spanish Inquisition in 1478, Spain “has done everything to destroy the Koran.” It said that Spain tortured Muslims, including burning them alive. Therefore, according to the Islamic State, “Spain is a criminal state that usurps our land.” The document calls on jihadists to “reconnoiter airline and train routes for attacks.” It also calls on followers to “poison food and water” with insecticides.

  38. Turkey: Land of Mosques, Prisons and the Uneducated

One way the rise of Islamist authoritarianism in a country can be seen is by the rise in the number of mosques, religious schools and prisons — coupled with a sharp decline in the quality of education. Turkey is no exception.

Most recently, the Turkish government said that it would build 174 new prisons, increasing capacity by 100,000 convicts. This is Turkey’s reply to complaints that six convicts must share a cell built for three. Convicts say they must sleep in turns in their bunk beds.

Before that, Turkey’s government released nearly 40,000 convicted criminals, in order to make space for tens of thousands of suspects, including journalists, businessmen and academics, detained after the failed coup of July 15.

    • CAINS BLOODLINE HAD RED HAIR
The link below will take you to a picture of a Neanderthal with red
hair and a man who might look very much like the image we have in
the Bible of Cain and Cain’s bloodline group.

      http://www.livescience.com/15196-dna-evidence-neanderthals-sex-humans.html

One of the solved mysteries science has discovered is that red hair did
not originate with human beings it came from the Neanderthal. Cain
was said to be red and hair as was Esau etc. We now know that Cain’s
bloodline was a hybrid line and that one of the secret ways to track
Cains bloodline is by following the tribes who had red hair.
Below is an article regarding the old belief systems and practices
associated with red heads. The color red and people with red hair
have always been associated with Satan and satanic rituals.
