The attack was carried out shortly after 9am on Monday when the Jewish school teacher – who was wearing a kippa – was walking to work.Police chief Laurent Nunez told reporters: “We know that it is a clearly anti-Semitic act, a serious act committed a few dozen metres” from a Jewish school. The man was followed for around 50 metres by a boy in his mid teens, according to reports.
The teen yelled “Allahu Akbar” (God is greatest) during the attack, the Marseille branch of the Representative Council of Jewish Institutions in France (CRIF) told Metro newspaper.Prosecutors have opened a case for “attempted murder based on religion” and for “glorifying terrorism”. […] There have even been other recent anti-Semitic attacks in Marseille, most recently when another teacher was stabbed by three attackers who shouted support for Isis after the attack.
Terrorist: Walid Salihi, who was shot dead attacking a police station in Paris, had been arrested for sexual assault in Cologne, Germany
ISIS supporter Walid Salihi, believed to be in his late teens or early 20s, was arrested in 2014 in Cologne for sexually abusing women in a night club.
Salihi is said to have ‘rubbed the behinds of females’ and touched their ‘intimate parts,’ according to a German police report.
A friend of Salihi was arrested after the Cologne mass attacks, where hundreds of women were sexually assaulted, leading to suspicion that he may have been part of the mob on New Years Eve before travelling to France, Bild newspaper reports.
Salihi was shot dead when he tried to enter the police station in Barbes, northern Paris, shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’ and threatening officers with a knife on the anniversary of the Charlie Hebdo attacks.
He was later found to have carried a fake bomb vest and a piece of paper where he pledged allegiance to ISIS.
3. France: France: Fires engulf two churches in Seine-et-Marne, arson suspected
(Next Sunday, weather permitting, I would recommend that the citizens of these towns hold services at these churches in any and all cases. We have to show that their culture, history and faith is about more than a building)
Gunmen blew up a car bomb, sprayed gunfire in a crowded area and took hostages in a shopping mall in eastern Baghdad Monday, killing at least eight people, police said.
The gunmen were still holed up in the shopping centre in Baghdad al-Jadida, a police colonel said, adding that it was feared the attackers were wearing suicide belts.
A hospital official confirmed the death toll and said 14 people were also reported to have been wounded in the attack.
“They are inside the Zahrat Baghdad mall. When the security forces got too close, they killed three hostages,” a police official said.
“We are taking a cautious approach now. We want this attack to end with the lowest possible number of casualties,” the official said.
Two men have been charged with attempted murder in the Canadian city of Calgary after a nightclub shooting early Sunday morning. Mohamed Elmi, 31, and Mohamed Salad, 29, also face a host of other charges, including unauthorised possession of a firearm, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm with an altered or defaced serial number.
A 38-year-old man was sent to hospital immediately after the attack with serious soft tissue injuries to his torso. Video below shows the moments leading up to the shooting as well as the consequences.
(Britbart raises the obvious point. This very likely was meant to be a mass death jihad attack on a Canadian nightclub as a scale model of the Paris one recently. A couple of true Canadians (remember, we invented Hockey and we nearly always win) managed to stop it before it became the mass casualty attack it was likely meant to be. But the media conspiracy to try and prevent us from even knowing it was happening, most likely to protect Trudeau and his policies of importing their co-idealogues, is at least equally criminal and dangerous, if indeed our conjecture is the case)
6. How are women treated in the official Islamic world? Rebel Media
Masked men threw firebombs at an intelligence service compound in the city of Qatif in eastern Saudi Arabia, activists said on Monday, in an apparent reprisal for the execution of a prominent Shia Muslim cleric earlier this month.
A Saudi Interior Ministry spokesman said “there was a failed terrorist attempt to burn the building with Molotov cocktails” and that one of the assailants was captured.
Video footage posted on social media and dated Jan. 9 showed several masked young men moving under cover of darkness and lobbing firebombs over the protective outer wall of a building compound. Most of the firebombs were seen exploding on the ground inside, setting a nearby tree on fire.
( I have to admit, the a-cappela in the official video gives the concept of the ‘barbershop quartet’ a whole new sinister feel. More like the ‘head-cut-off choir’)
8. We say ‘assimilation’.. They hear a-sam’alachem’
Thank you Buck, M., Maria J., Richard, Tundra T. and many more who left significant news links and worthy op ed links, geopolitical events and insightful comments. More to come. What appears to have been a police action in Germany gets more and more interesting. I plan to make a frame by frame analysis of one video that seems to show something quite interesting. Note to all who attend demos. Please set your phones to 1080p and 60 FPS. Our side is interested in truth and the best records possible is of great assistance.
In case anyone is still looking for data points to exemplify the Countering Violent Extremism narrative, this article from Front Page may help explain how it works.
Obama is really taking Islamic terrorism seriously after the San Bernardino attack. And by taking it seriously, I mean he’s working overtime to intimidate Americans for being so Islamophobic. (Hat tip)
A special release from the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission that specifically mentions the “attacks in Paris and San Bernardino, California” warns employers to provide prayer rooms for Muslims and crack down on any discussions about terrorism. And cautions against background investigations. (Cont)
