(I spare you all the photo)
Controversial preacher Anjem Choudary, who is awaiting trial accused of inviting support for the terror group Islamic State, is being released from custody.
Choudary 48, has been on remand at Belmarsh high security prison in London since being charged on 5 August.
The East London-based activist appeared by video link at an Old Bailey hearing before Judge Mr Justice Saunders.
It is alleged that Choudary committed an offence related to Islamic State’s status as a “proscribed terrorist organisation” – support for the group is banned in the UK.
He is charged with Mohammed Rahman, 32, of Whitechapel, east London, who is also accused of inviting support for IS.
Rahman, who has also been on remand since his arrest, appeared alongside Choudary at the same hearing and was also granted bail.
(Odd thing for a mature state to do. Its more the level of Iran or North Korea. Speaking of which…)
A senior Iranian military official has vowed to “set fire” to all U.S. interests in the region and maintained that the Islamic Republic welcomes war with America, according to regional reports demonstrating that Tehran is still committed to fighting the United States in the wake of a recently inked nuclear accord.
“In threatening remarks,” a top Iranian commander of the Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that Iran is prepared to “annihilate” U.S. and Israeli war forces should they “take the slightest military move against Iran,” according to Iran’s state-controlled Fars News Agency.
“We monitor their acts day and night and will take every opportunity to set fire to all their economic and political interests if they do a wrong deed,” Brigadier General Hossein Salami, the IRGC’s lieutenant commander, was quoted as saying in Tehran on Thursday. In a direct threat to both the United States and Israel, Salami promised to “cut off enemies’ hands and fingers will then send its dust to the air,” according to the report.
(Really go read this whole article while contemplating the deal Obama just made with them)
6. Hungary: Over 1000 refugees march along busy M1 highway towards Vienna
As the White House secured their last needed vote to block a veto override in the Senate on the nuclear deal, Iran unleashed a double-pronged attack: vowing to block inspector access to some sites, and vowing to continue preparations to destroy Israel.
Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan said today that the International Atomic Energy Agency — which inked confidential deals with Tehran that Congress has not been able to see — would not be able to see all the facilities it wants to.
“Iran does not plan to issue permission for the IAEA to inspect every site,” Dehqan said in an interview with al-Mayadeen news network on Wednesday, reported the semi-official Fars News Agency.
Back in July, he stressed that “missile-related issues have never been on agenda of the nuclear talks and the Islamic system will resolutely implement its programs in this field.”
But is it happening in the US?
9. Hungary: Convoy of buses leaves Budapest filled with Austria-bound refugees
Thank you M., Wrath of Khan, Richard and a long list of concerned people who took the time and effort to help.
Earlier today I asked the Baron over at GoV to mock me up an image of Orban in a sort of ‘Che’esque’ style so anyone who wants to can tick off the leftists nearby with an image of someone who is trying to protect his people from mass murdering savages instead of celebrating one as they do with Che. (Anyone else notice he is the only celebrity the left will allow who smokes cigars?) News has it that he has backtracked under pressure on his amazing and brave statements earlier on the 4th where he quite clearly stated the painfully obvious about the invaders and how islam was bad for his nation. Even so, he still said what needed saying. Perhaps if he had more international support he would resume his position. In any case, here is the image in case anyone wants to download it and print it on a T shirt etc.
