1. Boko Haram release first beheading video since pledging allegiance to ISIS
Nigerian militant group, Boko Haram, has releasing its first video of a beheading since it pledged allegiance to ISIS earlier this year, British media reported on Saturday.
The footage shares many similarities with the videos that have been released by ISIS over the past year.
The ten minute long video shows what appears to be an intense exchange of gun fire between Boko Haram militants and Nigerian soldiers.
It also shows the militants showing off the security badges of the dead Nigerian troops to the camera, while standing next to their corpses.
It then ends with the brutal murder of a captured African Union soldier, who kneels in front of three masked Boko Haram fighters, two of whom point AK47s at his head. The video then cuts to reveal his decapitated body lying on the floor, with the head placed on the back of the body.
2. UK: Editor fired after defending fellow writer who wrote about spread of Islam
(There is an old joke attributed to Oscar Wilde at a party, who allegedly asked a woman if she would sleep with him for a million dollars. After a stammering answer in the affirmative, he asked her again if she would but for fifty dollars. After an insulted response of, “Mr. Wilde. What do you think I am?” he answered, “We know what you are. Now we are just haggling over the price”. In Mr. Spencer’s comments on this article he says that freedom of speech is very nearly dead in Britain. No. It is dead. This is about taking the temperature of the corpse. Either you have freedom of speech or you do not. England does not. The Soviets had freedom of speech in the same way the Muslims do and the UK does. So long as you support the narrative you can say what you want but you may not say anything which challenges it, especially if it is true.)
3. Is a mini ICE AGE on the way? Scientists warn the sun will ‘go to sleep’ in 2030 and could cause temperatures to plummet
(Whether one believes in AGP or not, there is no disputing the sun plays the largest role in driving climate and the sun spot cycle has been shown to be the single factor in all history’s climate data which matches perfectly the temperature records since the time of Galileo who discovered sun spots)
4. Denmark: Only police officers and “immigrants” are safe to sell ice cream in Islamic no-go zones
5. UK: Mosque link to children’s suicide film
A former chairman of the best-known mosque in Leeds owned a company linked to the distribution of a children’s DVD that glorified suicide bomb attacks on Israelis.
The singalong DVD, which triggered an inquiry by counterterrorism police, features a young girl holding a stick of dynamite who vows to follow in the footsteps of her mother, shown blowing herself up after approaching soldiers at an army checkpoint.
6. An oped video on Pakistan and on freedom Vs. islam.
(It’s still a politically correct analysis, using the inaccurate and meaningless term, ‘extremism’ when he means islam but its good anyway)
7. CDC official called Obama ‘Marxist,’ ‘amateur’ over 2014 border surge
(What was it that kid said at the end of the story about the Emperor’s New Clothes? Of course in the real world, the Emperor’s henchmen will accuse the child of racism, have his parents thrown out of their jobs and ban all symbols of the child’s life, family and history until he, and all like him, feel themselves subdued)
8. Bosnia and Herzegovina: Serb PM attacked with stones at Srebrenica memorial
A crowd of angry mourners chased Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic during a ceremony for the 20th anniversary of the mass killing of Muslims in Srebrenica on Saturday, pelting the Serbian leader with rocks and bottles. The prime minster was reportedly hit in the face with a stone, breaking his glasses.
Thank you Nicolai Sennels, Oz-Rita, M., Richard and all. More to come and there are lots of interesting news links in the daily links post.
2 – Freedom of speech is on life support in all nations, if we want to remain free we must fight for our freedom, freedom isn’t free.
3 – Don’t worry the left will find some way to blame humans and capitalism for the sever weather.
The Intefada comes back to Serbia:
#3 Would be pretty amazing if the model pans out. Certainly a lot of sunspot data to test it with. When I use computer modeling the acid test is to compare it to a known dataset and see how accurately it mirrors reality. I wonder how far back they could go and still keep the accuracy? Appears they only based it on the most recent cycle from the article.
I think you can go back to the 1500s, prior to that they didn’t have the technology to know about sunspots.
Of course it goes without saying that the sun is the ultimate arbiter of temperature. No amount of insulation will keep you warm forever if there’s no heat input. the two effects on top of each-other, though, probably will make for unusual weather.
Have you seen the Danish documentary, ‘The Cloud Mystery’? I think they compared data sets back to Galileo
