Like a large majority of British expats we left the UK for the same reason, though rarely mentioned in public, while we may feel a little guilty about deserting our homeland, we have to put our children’s future and current security first.
We do though still have an opportunity to vote in the upcoming General Elections, if you register here https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote with just your NI number and last UK and current overseas postal address.
Most of the expats I have met will happily vote for UKIP, recognising that involvement in the EU and abandoning our sovereignty is what is at the heart of the issue, and that is UKIP’s stand, from what I see a classic libertarian party.
If you know an expat, please pass this information on, we only have till the 20th April to register.
Also please ask them if they have a good Marmite supplier they can hook me up with 🙂
A second public service announcement for Brits where-ever they maybe…
Please sign the petition in the link below, in order to stop the ghastly BBC, taking licence fees at will for promoting leftist propaganda…

I tried that and the website told me I had been away for too long, since 1999.
Re: Marmite supplier
Depends on where you are. If you are in Europe, I suggest Amazon:
