2. Up to 700 Turkish Nationals Have Joined Islamic State

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said up to 700 Turkish nationals have joined the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist organization, sounding the alarm over the risk of attacks inside Turkey if the terrorists return home.

“There are around 500-700 Turkish citizens who have joined the ranks of IS,” Cavusoglu was quoted as saying by Turkish media.

“A common concern about the foreign fighters is: What will happen when they return to their homeland? We have this concern too,” he said upon returning from a trip to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) which is only recognized by Turkey.

    • It is getting there, Europe is smoldering but not yet in active fire, the US is getting more dangerous but still less so then Europe.

Imagine how creeped out the poor Duke students would be hearing that soundtrack from an Islamic State beheading video drifting out of the steeple, complete, at that, with the correct hand-amputating, woman-stoning digital delay on the sound. Lord have mercy. I swear, if I ever had to hear the “Allahu Akbar” song wafting through my window, I would first accept that I was going to go to jail, then I would go out and smash the sound system with a ten-pound sledge hammer.

    • You’ve reminded me of an event that happened in Serbia as told by a serbian friend of mine. Serbians are fond of hard drink – and one guy with a bad hangover could not handle the muslim wake-up call in southern Bosnia. So he pulled out a pistol, fired into the minaret and stopped the dreadful alarm forever and promptly rolled back over and went to sleep..

    • Wow! That is exactly what is going to happen if we don’t change directions immediately with regards to our treatment of the Islamic issue. This is why I’m so nuts about the subject. And it’s a fact that there is a rather large contingent of very hostile leftists in the West who will help the Muslims out of a simple fundamental desire to be assholes. There also appears to be a traitor gene at play that I don’t understand at all, but I see evidence of everywhere I look. That video is as well thought out as it is frightening…

  3. Just found this on Liveleak and Youtube…..Google Translate indicates the title lines states something about a call to the Islamic State as “Muslims are under attack”……..video shot, I assume by the posting date and the number of views, today sometime…

  4. The Centre for Response to Radicalization and Terrorism (CRT) at the Henry Jackson Society is hosting a talk by Ali Soufan at the House of Commons in London next week, chaired by MP Ketih Vaz. The talk is titled, The Islamic State: What Does the Future Hold?

Ali Soufan is a former FBI Supervisory Special Agent and the author of The Black Banners: The Inside Story of 9/11 and the War Against al Qaeda.

I don’t know about Ali Soufan. He makes some of the right noises, but in this recent interview with Al Jazeera, he says, with regard to interrogating Al Qaeda terrorists:

‘I’m a Muslim. And it was very difficult for them to understand that somebody like me exists. It was very difficult for me to sit and hear someone hijacking a religion that [I] believe in. I used to argue with them about religion, hadith for hadith — verse, Quranic verse. If you look at the Quran, the concept of war is a very, very, very small little percentage of wider things. So they decided to ignore 99 percent of their religion and focus on 1 percent after they take it out of context and they put it through totally different lenses and through total different interpretation.’

Which of course is bs. But what stood out for me was this sentence from the description of the talk Ali Soufan is giving at the House of Commons:

‘The US-led military response has temporarily halted the group’s progress, but it is becoming increasingly clear that the Islamic State is a powerful actor that is very likely here to stay.’

Is this what the PTB have decided, that they don’t mind having, or even want, Islamic State around? Or is it just an author talking up his book.

  5. Daniel Greenfield: Suppose Islam Had a Holocaust and No One Noticed

What if the acts of terror on the evening news are not random events, workplace violence, mental illness and political extremism, but the beginning of another global Islamic genocide?

The rise of Islam was not based on faith, but on mass murder.

Within a few centuries of the time that Mohammed had ordered the ethnic cleansing of Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula, the massacre of millions of Christians, Jews, Hindus and Buddhists was underway across the Middle East through India and as far as Afghanistan.

The Islamic Holocaust was the greatest act of mass murder in human history. And it is still taking place today over a thousand years later.
