“Asserting that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict reinforces ISIS, gives a boost to global terrorism,” Bennett had slammed Kerry on Friday.

    “More than 2,000 prisoners have escaped over the past five years in Nigeria, officials say, mainly as a result of attacks on jails by the Islamist militant Boko Haram group.

    They say that dozens of prison staff have been killed during the raids.

    Last month hundreds of prisoners escaped when jihadists overran Mubi town. This week they blew a hole in a jail in Kogi State to free dozens more.

    Almost 500 prisoners escaped in the city of Maiduguri in 2009.

    A total of 2,251 prisoners have got away and most of them are still at large, officials say.

    Figures released by the Nigerian Prisons Service show that as of 30 June there were nearly 57,000 male and female prisoners in 239 jails.

    The BBC’s Will Ross in Lagos says that the jihadists have recently attacked a French cement plant in northern Nigeria and seized a large supply of dynamite – so more jail breaks may be on the way.

    Boko Haram has caused havoc in Africa’s most populous country through a wave of bombings, assassinations and abductions…..”

    “Pakistani police have arrested at least 43 suspects in connection with Tuesday’s killing of a Christian couple accused of desecrating the Koran.

    Reports say the couple were beaten to death by hundreds of locals who then burned their bodies in the brick kiln where they worked in Punjab province.

    Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif called the murders “an unacceptable crime”.

    Allegations of blasphemy are often used in Pakistan to settle personal scores or to target members of minorities. …”

    “Egypt’s human rights record has been criticised during a session of the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC).

    At a regular review process, which all member states undergo, the US and UK envoys to the UNHRC urged Egypt to free political prisoners and investigate alleged abuses by security forces.

    Rights groups say Egypt’s record has worsened since President Hosni Mubarak was ousted in 2011.

    Egypt’s deputy Foreign Minister Hesham Badr rejected the claims.

    Mr Badr said the criticisms were based on “misconceptions” and that Egypt’s government has made efforts to institute reforms.

    The minister asked whether some delegations were “dealing with conditions in a country other than Egypt in which we live”.

    Keith Harper, US ambassador to the UNHRC, said Egypt had violated “freedoms of expression, peaceful assembly and association [and] deprived thousands of Egyptians of fair trial guarantees”.”

      So, permit me to comment on “still higher”.

      This real and rational fear by Muslims of dogs, Cynophobia, is due to the feminization of their Males. He stands in the woman’s shoes and declares he is superior.” He worships God as though he were a man to bow down to, and anyone who claims to speak for him. A bitch (dog) has more masculinity in her little toe.

      Dogs will remain higher than men as long as Islam exists.

    “An American drone strike killed a top bomb-maker for the Khorasan terrorist organization in Syria, U.S. officials told NBC News on Thursday.

    The strike, a Hellfire missile, killed David Drugeon, 24, a French national who was considered a high-value target, the officials said. At least one other Khorasan member was believed to have been killed. The officials denied reports that the strike was targeting the Nusra Front, a militant group with ties to al Qaeda.

    Khorasan, a jihadist group made up of al Qaeda veterans, was a target when the United States launched airstrikes in Syria in September. Those strikes also targeted ISIS. U.S. officials said at the time that Khorasan was plotting attacks against the United States.”

The court said the parliament was unconstitutional, dealing a blow to Libya’s elected government, which is operating in the country’s east. The ruling was celebrated by militias occupying the capital Tripoli, who have set up an alternative parliament.

    A Libyan MP told the BBC: “We do not recognise… this ruling.” Abu Bkr-Bouiera added that the ruling was “baseless” and said it was “a step towards dividing the country”, which Libya’s parliament, elected in June, would not comply with.

    Politicians in Tobruk, the city near the Egyptian border where the parliament is now based, have repeatedly alleged that Tripoli’s courts, judges and their families have been under threat by the coalition of armed groups that controls the capital. Prosecution lawyers who won Thursday’s case denied that claim. The judges could not be reached for comment….”
